Lola Wright currently lives in the great state of Michigan with her husband. She has enjoyed living in several different areas of her home state and the USA but Michigan is home. Her kids are grown now and between them, her grandchildren and numerous furry family members, Lola keeps busy.
When Lola has free time she will most likely be found outside riding her horses or being entertained by her rescued mini’s, her dogs and cats. Lola has a passion for feeding the wildlife and enjoys watching them come and go on her property. If indoors, Lola is usually cooking up new recipes, reading or is in front of her computer dreaming up who she hopes is the perfect couple.
I'm always looking for a safe MC read. I'm not a fan of cheating or the club women and how catty they can be in a lot of MC series. So when this was recommended as being more of a safer MC read, I was happy to give it a try.
It's not completely safe. there is sex trafficking in this, but the club members are the good guys going after the bad guys, so that was great. It also introduced a side character I liked.
For the most part, I enjoyed the book. I really liked Bailey, Axel and all the other guys in the club. There was a lot of humor in this, but I will admit I didn't always enjoy the humor. I do think it kept me from enjoying the intensity that a biker should bring .
Overall, a good read and I can see myself trying some of the other books.
Oooh, these are scary bikers. They pinkie swear. Okay, one does. And the H thinks, in the time honored way real men do, that he is the Mister Mister...
“On to the good news, Bailey. We are officially a couple now. Me and you. Us. I’ve claimed you as mine. So see, using my truck isn’t a big deal. Couples do that sort of thing all the time. They share. So being the generous guy I am, I am now willing to be exclusive with you and share my possessions and my body with only you. How cool is that?” I state.
And then I remember to add, “And you will be sharing your body with me. Only me. That’s a very important part of being a couple. An us, if you will.” Huh. That’s odd. She’s not squealing for joy as I expected. In fact, her eyes have gone a little past squinty and now getting close to scary.
Huh? Did you think about what I might want?” Bailey asks me.
“Uh, well, I guess I just assumed you would want to be mine. I’m a catch, babe! Seriously!
Not as good as the first, The Devil's Angels MC, but still a lot of fun. The crazy animals are still there, and I will say the pig sounds really cute although the bird scares annoys me.
Lola Wright needs to get an editor or even a grammar teacher to go through her books and edit for mistakes, but she has a fun voice and an imagination which are two things you can't fake.
I can't remember where I read it, but she was inspired to write when she complained to her husband about some of the stupid things authors wrote and he told her to give it a try.
Okay, here it is... I was complaining to my husband about how much I had disliked the heroines in the last 4 books I'd read and why. He asked what I didn't like about them and I replied that they were either weak, whiny and crying every other page or they were completely unlikable. Meaning total b**ches. I hated it when an author wrote a strong female but went too far and made her someone I wouldn't want to spend time with. Hubby told me that I shouldn't complain about how someone wrote their characters if I wasn't willing to write one of my own. He was right so I started putting Ava on paper.
I love Axel so much. And Bailey is perfect for him. He is a big dumb, goofball, who loves with his whole heart when he lets someone in. Love that Bailey is another strong female lead. She's is so talented and I like that Axel encourages her passion. Once again love the humor that's woven throughout the book. If you liked the pets from book one, no worries. They definitely hang around in this one too. The love isn't overly unrealistic, the humor hit every time for me, and the serious stuff had a way of balancing everything out. Fantastically fun read.
Re-Read: 7-23-2021 I loved this book even more reading it the second time. I’m so in love with every single one of these characters.
Re-Read: 02/22/22 4.8 stars. Again. Ditto👆🏻 I love Axel. He’s such a goofball.
Re-Read: 03/26/23 4.8 stars. Axel is such a lovable dumbass. Ugh. I just love all the humor and playfulness in this book. So freaking good!
No sé qué decir.
Love this author's writing. I had so many lol moments and trying to tell hubby about them....which he just shakes his head at me. The waxing scene OMG hilarious. The hot 🔥AF sex scenes bonus. The storyline was brilliantly done so thank you. I highly recommend this book. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
Absolutely L-O-V-E-D it! I wanted to read Axel's story since he made an appearance in the first book and I'm so happy that I had the chance! It's one of my favorite characters! Axel and Bailey's story was sweet, eventful, funny and enjoyable! I liked the fact that their relationship progressed with time even if it was quite instant their attraction.
Second book in the series and just as good! Also the same rushed ending. I would just love a chapter after the main plot is done. I little in the way of which way they go and always want to hear about an engagement not just told it happened. I love both the H and the h. We had great character building and all the extra people. A great story with just the right amount of details. Love the suspense of what is going to happen next. Oh and don't forget the sex scenes... ohh la la...lol. I highly recommend this book but start at the beginning of the series.
Very sweet, very OTT on just about everything. Perfect men. No grit or violence. A bird that carries on actual conversations with people and has the amazing ability to process remarks made by people and come back with a response. The bird was just like a human, probably the most OTT thing of all. Safe, cute, funny and totally unbelievable. Why 3 stars? Because I just kept reading to see what happened.
Lola Wright amazes me! Her writing is so refreshing. This MC Series has quickly became my absolute favorite!
Axel and Bailey had me in stitches just like Gunner and Ava did. The cast of secondary characters are what makes these books! Both human and animal. Lol!
I can’t tell you enough how much I love this book. It’s an absolute must read for 2019!
Loving this series. It’s got so many laughs I was holding my stomach then it’s got tons of steam and suspense. Lots of stories just go over the top. To me this isn’t and that’s refreshing. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.
I was looking forward to Axel and Bailey, however this fell real flat. I skimmed a lot of the book and would have given it one star. I have it Two stars because of the animals and Axel being waxed.
I’m an avid fan of box sets, what can I say! I’m a sucker for punishment! So I was really hesitant to pick up the first book.. but then I fell in love with the characters and the pets and I was enthralled! Axel picks up after book 1 and we see more of our favourite characters such as Chubs and Mac. We witness the mighty fall in love and try to resist with both hands thrown in the air trying to enjoy the ride while denying it at the same time. Axel literally bowls Bailey over and off her feet! From that moment it’s a hunger and a beauty as you see it bloom from like, lust and then love. They are perfect for each other and the adventures they have together leave you crying with laughter, and I don’t think I really stopped smiling the whole time. These books will be added to my physical library as soon as I’m able! 5 stars highly recommend it! And can not wait for number 3!!

This is the second book in this series. The H got on my nerves some, he's just really arrogant at times. It was done with humor most of the time and the h just laughed it off. I did like the h, she has some insecurity issues but they're not brought up constantly. This one isn't quite as intense as the first one. The story lines were different. Bad guys are still after h but you gotta have that. Your introduced to most of the MC members in the first book. They're still major players in this book. There is humor, one scene in particular is hilarious (it involves male waxing, he's not a wuss, women do it all the time, he can take it)😂😂. I very rarely laugh out loud at books but that scene got me. There is some difficult subject matter and there are trigger warnings at the beginning of the book
Bailey works as an accountant and believes she is helping her boss when she uncovers something sinister. Confronting him about it puts Bailey in danger and into the path of of Devils Angel MC and their VP Axel. Axel realizes quick that Bailey needs protection and he goes about protecting her but he also realizes he wants to sleep with her but Bailey is not a one night stand type of gal. Axel was not looking for long term but he quickly realizes Bailey is his for the long haul, now he just needs to find the man intent on doing her harm.
This was great had some really funny moments in it. I liked Bailey, she is an intriguing character, her mom is a hot mess and was curious how that part of the story would unfold. Unexpected treat, looking forward to more in this series.
Again another easy read. This MC isn’t as MC as one would think. They’re pretty tame but that’s ok. The characters were great. Axel gets on my nerves though at times, but you know he loves Bailey.
There is a need for editing at times, but it is not so bad that you can’t just read on.
Loved this second installment of the Devils Angel!! I loved how Axel evolved and grew in his love. I still love the whole devil's angels family and hope there is more to come!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 “This is why I don’t want to fall for this guy. He has a grip on my emotions and I don’t like giving that power to anyone.”
What You’ll Find: ✔️MC Romance ✔️Playboy Hero ✔️Heroine in Danger ✔️Humour & Steam ✔️Dual POV
After reading Gunner I knew I had to continue this series. I was curious how the author was going to reform this playboy Axel. And it was fun to read for the most part! He and Bailey meet by chance when she’s in danger and he wades in from the beginning. But she’s a strong, yet shy heroine, and decides she is calling the shots. Axel is a playboy, and at times felt young. But could also be mature and so supportive. They jump in pretty quickly and the steam comes off the pages. There’s some action and suspense. And once again some great humour. Though I didn’t love all the humour.
You get to follow up with the MC crew, including Gunner and Ava, and their pets. Mac is just as funny. I did find some of this one a little repetitive at times. And again with the use of the words ‘dirty sex’-again my hangup of choice of words. Overall I enjoyed it. But it didn’t pull me in like the first. I will definitely continue this series though!
Like the first in this series (and the entire series, I’m expecting) this is MC light. The bikers do have a clubhouse, club sluts (their term) etc. etc. But they are totally legal and fighting crime from the backside. So yeah…
I noticed in this book, the “voice” is very feminine, as well, so much so, that it stopped me multiple times because the men talk and say things that women dream men will say but in a way that only a woman would say it. They explain their feelings and talk about their love. And, any woman reading will happily sigh. But if one is honest I don’t think I’ve ever heard an actual man do it to the extent these bikers do!
Still, the story is all kinds of fun with a good dose of excitement thrown in so I just kicked back, accepted the unbelievable and enjoyed the ride (heh, heh)!
I liked this it was an ok read. But there were some questions. I don’t know why the author went the “easy” route in this book and don’t specify whether ax was screwing other women while with her. I don’t know why. In the first book she had no problem. I’m guessing she wanted to please the idiots who were disappointed that the hero didn’t screw around last time? But it messes up this book for me. He was constantly crawling in her bed even when they weren’t screwing, so not specifically saying he hadn’t been around other women makes it gross instead of sweet. He took way too much time to realize he just wanted her, if the author wasn’t going to specify that he wasn’t with ow while he was working things through his head. That being said if I take it as he was not, he was a decent guy. I like seeing the bikers with respect and who drew the line at trafficking women (saving the lives of two and adopting one). I also wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that again these women have to all be the same. The author seems to have forgotten that there are different types of strengths. But these women who haven’t been raised around MC’s walk into the life as the perfect ol lady, perfect at everything. I love a story where the hero thinks the heroine is perfect the way she is, but I don’t want her to actually be “perfect” I want him to love her the way she is and not just what SHE can do for HIM. How do these women just accept everything without even taking a day to process things. I mean yes, they are much better with respect to women than other MC books. But these women have lost their loyalty to other women. They jump strait to calling the women that their men CHOSR to sleep with as sluts. While ye the term “clubwh0re” or “$lut” is a common MC term that the women who hang around there are om with being called, these heroines wouldn’t know that. It would take time to even teach their brains to change the terminology. But nope on day one their inner monologues are “$lut this” or “$lut that”like they are better than the other women their have slept with. The heroine in book one was completely trashing a women that she believed her love interest had slept with. But A he didn’t actually do it, B they hadn’t even been in a date yet, and C why would this be the fault of a woman that she had never met? Then we have the “club$luts” later actually trying to cause drama that should have gotten them kicked out. In what club could one walk up to a President woman in front of him and cause him problems by lying and saying they had slept together? Never. It would make him look weak. He wouldn’t put up with a brother or prospect disrespecting him, so how could he let a lowly club girl get away with it? Then there was the scene where the womb wasn’t with the President yet and was basically just a contracted hired for an event and they let a club girl attack her. He wanted to see if the heroine could handle it? She was in the middle of busting her but catering a 75 person dinner for them for just the cost of food in exchange for some word of mouth advertising. Why would some unimportant girl be allowed to get away with that. In nine of the situations where they behaved like this were they ever kicked out. It makes no sense. And good lord can we stop with the Maccaw that has the intellect of a teen boy? That’s not how their Brian works. They can’t interact like that. It would honestly be funnier if he was true to the species but just happened to speak at the right time. The way it’s written, I keep waiting for him to shapeshift, except this isn’t a paranormal book. Anyway, there are parts I liked and parts I didn’t, but it was ok. A few tweaks and it would be really good.
