Waiting for the Tides to Meet
Louis lets out a deep breath, thinking about Harry’s soulmate. Thinking about how Harry’s soulmate is probably as beautiful as Harry, some person that Louis cannot compare to, and how the universe has chosen them to be Harry’s. Fuck the universe. “Fuck you,” he calls out to the universe. He’s aware of how crazy he sounds.

After rereading I can confidently say that this book did not deserve the 3 stars I gave it the first time.
Reading Harry and Lou's conversation about how they'd never imagine being the ones never meeting their soulmate - that was so damn funny. The story is so sweet and just URGH. magnifique.

I really liked this fic a lot, the concept was so intriguing to me and I absolutely adored it. It was fairly short, not as big of a slow burn as I expected, or as angsty as I thought it would be, but it was really cute and fluffy and I absolutely adored seeing their relationship grow. The concept itself is so interesting and imagining their inner struggle with dating someone who could become matched one day or who could find their significant other while you're together is so fascinating to me. Liam and Zayn are a side plot here and they're not soulmates but they fit in so well together and I would do anything to see a story based on them where one of them comes home with matched eyes and it's angsty as fuck and everything but they end up choosing each other anyways or whatever. I don't know, this makes me want to write a soulmate au where they're not technically soulmates but still love each other as if they were.
Anyways, this specific story was so interesting. I liked how Louis friendship with Liam and Zayn was portrayed, and how Louis and Harry were intrigued from the start but didn't get together for a while. Their slight angst was really nice and I was so excited for the big reveal to actually happen. Their relationship sounded so cute and pure and sweet but also witty and just something I would love to have. There were a couple of plot holes like Liam not asking Niall if he knew anyone who met their soulmate the night of the party, and stuff. But overall the story itself was really nicely developed and I found it so fun and entertaining. Overall, I really really enjoyed reading this. The concept was so nice and I adore books that have a playlist ready for you to listen to. I think I'd like to reread this some time because it's just really fast and cute and fun to read.

The book starts off with Louis getting dragged to a frat party by Zayn because Liam is going to be there. They go and Louis gets absolutely wasted. While they're playing reverse tag (one person hides and everyone goes to look for them), Louis ends up in a dark bathroom inside of a bathtub. Harry comes in and they meet for the first time, it's too dark to see each other but they talk and Louis finds out that he does yoga and has a butterfly tattoo before he gets dragged away by Niall to take his flight back home. The next morning, Louis is woken up by Zayn who realizes that Louis' eyes changed color. They call everyone that they know but they don't end up finding anyone who's eyes also changed that night. Seven years pass and Louis has given up on finding his soulmate. He is an art director and in charge of designing H&M's new lingerie line. Harry is his new coworker, who he meets after getting coffee spilled on him, and their friendship begins. Eventually they realize that they know the same people, Harry knows Niall and Niall knows Liam who is still dating Zayn and who hang out with Louis all the time. They all become friends and make it a habit to hang out together often. As time goes by their friendship grows; they have coffee together, start having lunch together all the time, and start seeing each other to hang out outside of work. They develop crushes on each other and that bond strengthens a bit after they both find out that even though they both have "matched" eyes, neither of them are with their soulmates, they are both individuals who met their soulmate once and never had it happen again. They end up going on a work trip together to photograph their work and they have the one bed trope. They kiss for the first time and end up having sex. They start dating even though they're not soulmates yet and it's all working out really well. They are about to have their first date together, when Lottie calls Louis to tell him that she found his soulmate because he does yoga and has a butterfly tattoo. Harry hears her and runs away, Louis runs after him but he's gone. Lottie apologizes and then shows Louis the photo, it's a picture she took of Harry. Louis starts to connect the dots and goes searching for Harry. He sneaks into his apartment and waits for him. Harry comes and starts to tell Louis that he's sad but he's happy for him, Louis asks him how he met his soulmate and Harry tells him that it was at a frat party. They both find out that they're soulmates and are ecstatic. There's fluff and content with them being a couple. They're adorable and they talk about their future together along with a bunch of smut included. They decide to move in together and daydream about their future together in a house with 2 sets of twins and a dog with an iguana. It's a happy ending.

Really enjoy the heterochromia theme and how H&L’s relationship grew ♥️
The story had a lot of potential which could have been used better - for example by telling more of Zayn’s and Liam’s story and Harry’s perspective of the frat party ☺️

Omg I LOVED this fic. It felt so cozy, I loved their relationship and the one with the boys. They’re just so cute and funny I loved it all. Maybe a bit short I definitely would’ve loved to see more of them as soulmates at the end but still so good.

Nunca me ha gustado el concepto de las almas gemelas, pero me encanta como se desarrolló todo, eligiéndose entre sí antes de saber que lo eran (por encima de eso incluso), y si hay una forma de conocer a tu alma gemela, me parece que a través de los ojos es de las más bonitas

Me encantó esta historia, esta muy bien desarrollada y el me atrajo un montón el concepto de las diferencias de color en los ojos y sus cambios para identificar a sus soulmates. En un momento se volvió desesperante y tipo “amigo,date cuenta” pero es una historia muy dulce y entretenida
