Book 2 in the Face Off series is just as fabulous as the first book! I can't wait for the next one! While I wait, I'll just drool over the covers of Parker and Kane to fill my time. :)

Tyler Kane is the highest paid player in the NHL and captain of the Flyers. Kennedy Lockwood is a blogger and journalist trying desperately to keep her online sports newspaper afloat. We briefly met Kennedy and Tyler in Parker's book and this picks up where that left off.

Parker enlists Tyler's help to escort Kennedy and introduce her to all of the pro athletes for her to interview at Parker's huge event to surprise Coach. Kennedy isn't just a sports writer, she's a huge hockey fan and she's always had a bit of a crush on Tyler Kane. That is until she spoke with him. He comes across as a cocky, arrogant jerk and he ends up being nothing like she'd built up in her head.

Tyler's intrigued by Kennedy though. She can school him on hockey stats and facts. Loves the sport almost as much as he does and doesn't care at all that he's a famous athlete. She has no problem taking him down a peg when he's being an a$$ and she takes it as well as she dishes it out. He thinks under her librarian/hobo wardrobe there's a smoking body, but Tyler looks past her unfortunate style choices and wants to get to know her better.

In the case of both Tyler and Kennedy looks can be deceiving. Tyler is much kinder, more thoughtful and more grounded than Kennedy first thought. He has a sweet side and once he starts to open up to Kennedy, she decides that the real Tyler could be someone she'd love to spend time with.

And Kennedy, well you'll have to read the book to find out why she's sporting a homeless chic look when she meets all of the top pro athletes in the country.

I loved this book. Jillian Quinn writes the best bad boys. Kane is no exception, but he's also got a good heart that he keeps buried to protect himself. There's lots of sexy banter and bickering back and forth between Kane and Kennedy which adds some great laugh out loud moments and builds the sexual tension. There are lots of smokin' hot steamy scenes, including a locker room scene that may result in you needing a cold shower...

Fun, steamy sports romance with heart. Great read! <3

I'm really enjoying this whole little hockey series!!! It started out by me just wanting a quick little fun romance to listen to while cleaning out closets. Nothing too complicated, just fun and flirty love and that is exactly what I have found!! Finished book #2 in a short afternoon and I am about to go download book 3 - because now I am really hooked on this whole group and can't wait to see the next couple after all that was eluded to them in this book. Hockey for the win!!

Riches to rages to hAppiness

Making ones own way in life is important especially if your family just lost their fortune. As a sports reporter with a small online magazine Kennedy wants to be taken serious and make her way in the publishing field. Can she obtain this goal and not lose her credibility once she and Kane hook up?

Ice Breakers - Kane
von Jillian Quinn
LYX

2.5 - I enjoyed book 1, Parker, very much, but this one was really disappointing. Tyler Kane and Kennedy hook up just for fun and have earth shattering sex several times, and suddenly they live together and love each other, whenever and why ever this happened. There is hardly any chemistry, there is no story development, no tension, no conflict, no depth in the characters ... nothing! It's just boring.

I don't know if I will give the next book another try, the upcoming heroine is the highly bitchy friend of Kennedy, who's playing around with Taylor's team mate Donovan.

If any of you have read Parker by Jillian Quinn then I’m sure you were extremely excited for Tyler Kane’s story! I was jumping up and down once I got this baby in my hands. TOTALLY different than Parker, but in the best way possible! Tyler is my book hubby. Yes not book boyfriend but book HUBBY! Hello new category :).

The corner of his mouth turns up into a cocky smirk.

“I like it when you’re mean. I’ll consider this foreplay for later.”

Meet the captain of the Philadelphia Flyers, Tyler Kane. Hot as puck with an ego to match, Tyler is hands down a ladies man. On the outside he seems like every other young and single thriving hockey player but on the inside he is struggling with a past he can’t forget. When a sexy, quirky sports reporter walks into Tyler’s life, she starts stirring up painful memories. Kennedy Lockwood is persistent and driven and maybe the one thing Tyler needs in his life.

Oh my goodness you guys, these freaking characters! SO DANG STRONG! I just love Tyler and Kennedy. Don’t even get me started on the angst, lord the angst in this book is HOT! More than any of that though, I couldn’t stop laughing in Kane. These two had me rolling with laughter and they were so stinking cute. There’s nothing better than feisty, defiant characters who have smart mouths, I just loved it all.

“I write about one-night stands and every type of sexual encounter imaginable, most of which I have experienced for myself or vicariously through Sydney or our viewers. With Tyler, I want this to be right –

no, perfect.”

Tyler Kane is my kind of man,

Laugh out loud funny √

Sweet as can be √

Sexy as all get out √

Dog lover √

He has got it all ladies. His past and what he wants for his future is what really reeled me in though and I was totally a fish hanging onto his hook by the end of this book.

Kennedy is all kinds of feisty and I loved her! She made me laugh so much, especially her and her bestie Sydney. They were hilarious and by the end of it you will want to be best friends with both of them. I loved Kennedy’s attitude and how independent she was but more than that, she loves curling up at home on a Friday night with a good book. Defiantly my kind of girl! Jillian makes such badass women characters full of independence and success that is truly admiring.

The depth of this story is what stuck with me though, there’s nothing better than a troubled past between characters and an even more unsure future. It draws you in and sucks you right up. That’s exactly what Jillian did in Kane, she pulled on my heart strings and took me along for the ride.

"I know what it’s like to have everything you love taken away from you, baby.

Trust me.

I have endured more heartbreak and sadness to last a lifetime.”

Fantastic writing, and a bunch of angst filled scenes that will have you longing for more! If you haven’t started the Face-Off Series yet then I don’t know what you are waiting for. Parker and Kane totally have my hearts and I can only imagine what the next book has in store for us readers! I can’t wait to find out :).

**Thank you so much to Jillian for providing me with a copy of KANE in exchange for an honest review.**

I absolutely loved this book. Jillian Quinn is a wonderful writer and she really scored with this one. Kane is the story of Kennedy Lockwood and Tyler Kane. Kennedy Lockwood is a sports reporter. Her father lost all the family money including the publishing company her grandfather had built so she started her own sports paper in the internet. Tyler is the captain of the Philadelphia Flyers. They are immediately attracted to each other when they meet at a charity event where Kennedy goes to interview Tyler and several other players and basketball players. Tyler cannot get over things that have happened in his past and her lets that influence some of his personal decisions in the present. Despite all this and a rough/rocky start they grow closer together. Will he let his past come between him and Kennedy? You will need to read the book to see where Kennedy and Tyler go here. This book has twists and turns and surprises. I definitely recommend this book. I can't wait to read Jillian Quinn's next book.

This book was way better than the first in the series. The ending felt sudden to me, it didn't have a climax like in other romances where they break up or have a fight and then get back together. I was expecting another plot point but then it just ended. Enjoyable but for me it felt a little unfinished.
Probably one of the better books you can find on kindle unlimited.

After reading Parker, the first book in this series, I am really disappointed with this second book. I liked Kennedy and Tyler but the story was rather weak and it ended very abruptly. Kennedy's best friend Sydney did not come across well to me and as the next book is about her and Tyler's best friend Carter Donovan I think I'll not be bothering with it.

I haven't changed, I haven't been converted to romance. Still, I have read a few stories sprinkled with it (my favorite kind) and a couple of real stories from the genre, so I am starting to understand a tiny bit of what romance readers are looking for. No, I'm not talking about abs!

After my very successful tries with Jillian Quinn's first books Corrupt Me and Parker, I was thrilled to discover the second book in the Face-Off series: Kane.

That's when I realized names were important. My good old Jill ruined my favorite names with steamy hot scenes when I was saving them for my future babies, but I understand why she chose them. They just clicked. And this time again, the magic happened.

Kane. A strong name, raw and short. You expect a tall, broad-shouldered guy to open the door for you. I know I did. And I wasn't far from the truth.

Oh, don't be disappointed, there's more to Kane than a soft side. The gentleman is hidden under the athlete outfit and not everyone can strip him off his shell, contrary to his clothes.

Kennedy. Another strong name. Elegant and resilient. Clever and vulnerable. This is how I pictured her. Someone I could be friend with.

See, I started talking about Kane's kitty face and Kennedy's vulnerability because Jillian Quinn's magic does wonder and she proves with this book than the rules can be bent just as well as women (I can't believe I am writing this. Jillian, you are rubbing off on me. I take responsibility for the offence that might be taken from this previous sentence.)

Both Coach and Izzie (see the previous books) were hard-boiled don't-mess-with-me creatures, and while there wasn't all there was to them, I loved them for that. Luca and Alex were the usual no-idea-who's-in-my-bed type with different sides it felt good to discover. But Kane doesn't play by those rules and I found it brave from the author to step out of a pattern to show us the extent of her talent.

Both Kane and Kennedy are different from what you expect. She's fun, she's a sports journalist, she does her best and she wears her feelings on her sleeve. I loved the digging side of her, her senses in alert when there was a story to discover, but that's my soft spot for journalists. Well, the right kind of journalists. It was refreshing to have a strong female friendship going on, and though I can't say I agreed with Sydney on everything, the girl knows how to spice anything up!

But, if there's one thing I have learned from Sydney, it's that even smutty books have a happy ending.

Kane has a stone shell around him. Oh, he has a sense of humor too, and everything you need to melt. I was surprised by his light tone, his banter, his way of playing around. I liked him from the start. How can you not with an opening like the one the author came up with? Just believe me and read the first chapter, you won't be able not to laugh and won't want to put the book down. Add to this a furry friend and you have me head over heels and swooning.

I laughed, I smiled, I blushed (steamy scenes, one day I'll get used to you), I had a really good time figuring out where this story was leading to.

Once thing dawned on me when I was reading. While I can put myself in the shoes of the poor lady losing her sanity in a psychological thriller, I cannot for the sake of the BookGod imagine myself in the situations described in romance books. I believe this is why there's always a wall that prevents me from enjoying scenes in their I've never been much for romance, girl drama or big abs! I know, shocking! Give me a flabby but kind and loving yummy guy and I'm in. It did not prevent me from having a blast with Kane and trying to break that shell of his with Kennedy, neither did it prevent me from feeling for her, rooting for her, and hoping for a happy ending. Kane is a hot mess it feels good to get involved with, and a perfect heart-warming material. I keep thinking this guy is my favorite because he is marriage-material (and I was not just convinced by the sex scenes!) There is so much to say about him but it wouldn't be fair to ruin the surprises. Just remember that Jillian has a knack for men that are like onions. And Kane has layers...

Jillian Quinn has created a funny, sweet and sweaty tale of two souls crashing into each other for better or for worse and added layers of clothes and secrets to make sure your hands wouldn't put Kane down until the very end!

I want to like this book because the premise is interesting, but a couple things right off bother me.

One, Sydney's article about, "does size matter?" is shallow and offensive. She's the FMC in the next book and I'm supposed to like her? If a MMC wrote an article titled, "Does size matter?" about breasts and spoke about the topic the same way Sydney did, I wouldn't want to root for him. The article itself isn't a problem; it's the stance it takes.

Two, it makes zero sense for Kennedy to arrive at the big event looking like a slob. No matter what experiment they want to do, she is there for work and should dress professionally. It's actually quite dumb of her to dress unprofessionally when the whole reason she's desperate to go to the event is to "save" her paper. You don't show up to a work event dressed unprofessionally. Not if you want to be taken seriously.

Also, the FMC didn't make any sense when interacting with the MMC. The whole point was that she thought if she dressed like that, the athletes wouldn't glance at her twice. The MMC showed interest in getting to know her by asking her to eat with him and he stuck by her way more than he needed to during the event. While he was showing interest in her, the FMC's inner monologue was about how he would never show interest in her and how shallow he is. I was confused. I wanted to slap her and tell her, "he's showing interest in you right now, you doofus." It's like if he was smiling at her and her inner monologue was about how he never smiles.

As the story progressed, it just was odd. Things didn't make sense. When the FMC shows up at the MMC's house, she again is dressed unattractively on purpose. The MMC flirts with her and makes his interest known but she is rude and hateful to him. The only reason given in her inner monologue for why she's being hateful is because, if she's not, she'll jump his bones. This is a stupid reason.

Then, they start making out, he goes down on her, they move to his bedroom to have sex and then they just... Stop. The reason given is because his puppy interrupts them and licks the side of his face, which is a "mood killer." Of all the romance novels that I have read, which has been a lot, this scene was the most nonsensical scene for interrupting sex that I've read. Sure, somebody's phone ringing is common. Somebody showing up at the door. Somebody remembering they have somewhere to be. Someone internally freaking out for a plot reason. But because a puppy licked a character's face? This action immediately squashing their intention to have sex only makes me think that they have zero chemistry, they're not attracted to each other and they didn't really want to have sex to begin with. If they were hot and heavy and desperate to have sex with each other, a puppy licking somebody's cheek isn't going to stop them.

Another progression that didn't make sense: the FMC sees photos at the MMC's house and the FMC asks who the little boy is in the photos. He tell her the name of the little boy, but it is obvious he does not want to talk about it. He makes it clear he doesn't want to talk about it. She doesn't drop it and guesses that it is his son or someone related to him. She is not entitled to personal information about him if he doesn't want to share it. They aren't in a relationship. Because she is pushy, he acts like a jerk to get her to leave. I would expect, after this scene, for the FMC to feel bad for pushing for private information that she isn't entitled to and to feel like an ass for bringing up an obviously hurtful topic. This is not what happens. She is furious at him and thinks that it's confirmation that he's just such an awful person. Even though she's the one that completely ruined their time.

She even tells her friend he's a jerk and then explains, "everything was going fine until I asked him about his personal life. Then he nearly threw me out of his house." This isn't what happened. She PERSISTED about his personal life even though he made it clear he wasn't discussing his personal life. What exactly does she think his response should be when she's not respecting the boundaries he already laid out? Since he already made himself clear with verbal communication, what does she think he was supposed to do when she kept asking him personal questions? Just give in to her and answer her questions? That seems to be the only acceptable response to her, which is ridiculous. They aren't in a relationship; he owes her nothing.

The FMC and her friend are truly unlikeable. After he "nearly kicks her out" of his house, she writes a scathing article for her sex blog about him, where she basically shames him for being into her even though she wore unattractive clothes. Apparently, this is supposed to prove that men "will have sex with anything" and he's a jerk. There's a big problem with this stance, however. If no one had tried to have sex with her in her unattractive clothes, then the article would have been about how men are shallow. Is the man a jerk if he can't get past the clothes and be into a woman or is he a jerk for being into a woman even though her clothes are unattractive? It can't be both ways.

The fact that she's trying to paint him as being awful because he was into her despite her clothing is her being more of a butthole than he has ever been to her. The only time he was rude to her is when she kept pushing about his private life. The fact that he expressed interest in TALKING to her and getting to know her makes it even more despicable that she is painting him as a man who will just have sex with anything. When a man indiscriminately has sex with whoever, they are not interested in talking to them. I'm not even going to go into how it's insulting for other women for her to buy into the notion that a woman is not worthy of being desired if she's dressed a certain way.  She was angry when the woman at the coffee shop seemed shocked the MMC was on a date with the FMC (based on her clothes) and, yet, she is writing an entire article that supports that viewpoint by basically calling the MMC a pig for wanting her despite her unattractive clothes. This book just does not hold up to any type of scrutiny whatsoever to what's put on the page.

To continue the oddness of how this story progresses, the MMC opens up to the FMC (because she dug up the truth herself anyway) and admits he still loves his ex (she still has a piece of his heart). He says he cannot let go of the past even though he wishes he could. Right after he says this, she thanks him for sharing and he says it's been a long time since he's felt anything for a woman, but he feels like he can tell the FMC anything. For whatever reason, less than a minute or two after he admits he still loves his ex, they are making out. I mean, I suppose if they were only looking for casual sex, it wouldn't matter if he has feelings for another woman, but it's not exactly arousing for a man to tell you he has feelings for someone else. The makeout session doesn't belong right after a confession like that. It makes their relationship development look non-existent or like he's using the FMC as a distraction. The FMC even acknowledges this weirdness in her inner monologue and even accepts that she can be a tool that helps the MMC deal with his feelings for his ex. I'm just not a fan of this direction for the story.

After this, key relationship development happens off page. We are told they hung out more after the day they first had sex, the FMC had told him why she was wearing unattractive clothes and they have been having sex constantly. Since the setup was devoid of good development, skipping this development does a disservice to this story. Readers are told they've been together for six weeks.

They developed their relationship so much off page that the MMC asks the FMC to go with him to visit his son. To me, this is very jarring because it was just a few pages ago that he was talking about still being in love with his ex. He asks the FMC if she will be okay with seeing his ex and she says yes because the ex has moved on and doesn't have a crush on the MMC. Excuse me? Who cares if she has moved on? Or if she has a crush on him? That wouldn't matter nearly as much as whether HE still has feelings for HER or has moved on and he already admitted he still loves her. Again, bizarre. The FMC is not bothered to see the ex that her current boyfriend is still in love with only because she doesn't think the ex has a crush on him anymore? The ex's feelings matter more than her boyfriends? Seems backwards to me. I mean, if I had to choose one, I would prefer my boyfriend to NOT still be in love with his ex.

The inner monologue of the characters just feels unearned and unbelievable, at this point in the story. The FMC thinks they are perfect together and the MMC is excited to share his life with the FMC. I guess the reader is supposed to forget he said he was still in love with his ex? For me, I need to see the transition that gets a character from point A to point B when it's integral to the plot. In a romance, getting over one person and falling for another is definitely integral to the plot and shouldn't be shown with a few throwaway paragraphs about how they've spent time together over the past six weeks. So, when the MMC tells the FMC he is falling in love with her and their relationship is more than sex and his inner monologue says he is ready to move on, it doesn't ring true.

Why does he love her? They interacted and messed around before and he was still in love with his ex afterwards. Nothing he said or thought indicated he was falling for the FMC then. What is different now? I guess I'm supposed to accept he fell over time, after spending more time with the FMC and getting to know her, but, again, that part of a romance needs to be on page to be believable.

This lack of on page development is even more frustrating when the MMC says in his inner monologue after he asks her to move in with him that he "freaked out when things first got serious" with the FMC because of his past. This is the first the reader has heard about it. This should have been on page character development. The MMC has been emotional about his past for YEARS and hasn't had a relationship since his ex. His growing feelings and openness to a relationship should not just come out of nowhere. That's like having a character who is an established recluse just suddenly attending social gatherings daily with no explanation other than, "I freaked out at first but, over time, I realized I wanted to go out." Okay, but why? What changed the thought process? What developed?

I don't know why I forgot to review this oneright after I read it because it is possibly my favorite on both series. I might re-read it and give a more full review later for the sake of fairness to the author. A couple of hers were big misses for me, but this one was one of the best (the other is Pucking Parker.) I do remember Tyler very well. Tyler is perhaps the most fleshed out hero of the series. He has a secret and a full background that help us understand his thoughts and behaviors. I adored him, hurt for him and was cheering for him all along! I SO wanted him to get his HEA. I love when i feel that connection to a character and I did here.

There were a couple other things that the author did right here. (It's the little things, right?) For one, she resisted the temptation to villainize 'the ex'. (No spoilers here.) We meet Tyler's ex and her new man (= Tyler's replacement) and both are painted fairly as just normal, nice, attractive, successful people. The attitude is: It's no one's fault, really. It just happened. Tyler doesn't like the situation but there is also no good guy/ bad guy. I liked that because sometimes life is just that way.

Also, there is a real story here. It's not just sex (which some of these are...) It's still chick lit/ sports romance, but there are believeable emotions, a compelling storyline, fleshed out background and character growth that will make you smile.

This is book 2 in the face off series and we are introduced properly to captain of the Hockey team Tyler Kane.
We meet him in Parker the first book and honestly you don't have a good impression of him he is always partying and sleeping around with anyone and everyone it seems.
But that is not who he is and we find out more of his past and what makes him tick...He isn't what you thought he was.
Kennedy is the woman who turns his head and makes him want more. She is a journalist and owns a paper called Sports Buzz.
She needs interviews and a good exclusive story to keep the readers interested and the paper afloat...Tyler Kane is an interesting target because he is so secretive about himself and an interview would be an amazing triumph...He hs a secret past.
They meet and there is an attraction between them but Kennedy is so reluctant to do anything about it,but Tyler is persistant...agrees to an interview...But it never happens because their passion for one another gets in the way.
There is alot more to this story than what I could even say and what I liked about this book is that once they are together there is no break up..and they are loved up and work things out if things are not good.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden Narrate this story and they are an Amazing duo and are perfect as these characters.Enjoyed listening to them.
I loved listening to this book its a great read and I loved Jillian Quinn's writing.
Brilliant 5 Stars.

Kennedy is a struggling sports reporter. She owns her own online sports paper, and scores an invite to an event by Alex Parker who she tailed for Charlotte Coachman to keep her up to date on what he was doing. Tyler is her contact for the event and agrees to a sit down to have an interview for her paper.
Tyler has some skeletons in his closet and is quite cold when it comes to his personal life. He doesn't want anyone poking into it and just wants to be left alone.

This was quite sweet. I was really emotional at the ending, I was almost sure it was going to be a bad reaction but Tyler was super sweet and I loved that.

Tyler Kane is a sexy man with a huge heart. His personal life is never a topic of discussion with anyone besides his best friend Carter. He is anti relationship so he can't understand why a reporter dressed so bizarre grabs his attention.

Kennedy is a reporter trying to save her online newspaper- the only left after her father loses all of the family money. She gets the opportunity to socialize with with top athletes which is where she meets Tyler. She is extremely attracted to him, but it's not that easy. Their relationship is a struggle for Tyler because of his past.

My heart broke for Tyler. As big of guy he was, he was a softy really. His relationship with Kennedy was what he needed and deserved!!

The study is an easy read- read it in one day. It kept my interest from beginning to end. Can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Disappointed

I love hockey and I love books about hockey, but this one let me down. The plot line was pretty good, but all the s*x got me. Instalove is one thing, but the amount of s*x for such a short book didn’t work and Tyler acted like a tool. Then there was the grammar... a good editor goes a long way. “Could care less” was used several places instead of the proper “couldn’t care less.”

This story has great potential, but it’s just not there. I couldn’t connect with the characters. Tyler being a jack hole was more than I could deal with and Sydney and Carter were a sloppy distraction.

This will work for some, but it didn’t for me.

Kennedy Lockwood is trying to save her sports newspaper by trying to pull on all the leads she has. Having recently befriended a sports agent, she uses her connections for interviews and to make new connections herself. When she meets hockey star Tyler Kane, she's not entirely sure he's as great as people think... or maybe it's the other way around?

Did I enjoy this book? I don't know. I think it was sort of interesting in some sections, but then her friend was over the top and Tyler's secret didn't seem like such a tragic event. And I say it every time but not every book needs to end with a pregnancy, or multiple, and a spoiler for the third book in the series.

Tyler’s book!

Sports writer Kennedy Lockwood needs more articles for her online sports newspaper, Sports Buzz when she connects with hockey player Tyler Kane. Tyler is friends with his teammates but he isn’t in the news much for his private life because he keeps it very much on the down low. Tyler and Kennedy hit it off when she becomes friends with his dog but the almost relationship comes to a screeching halt when she asks about some pictures he had over his fireplace.

Tyler’s reason for keeping his private life out of the news is the reason he is scared to let Kennedy in his life.

Not a fan of double standards. Catty women who gossip and publically blog about the size of a man’s D and making jokes about it is just gross. Pretty sure if a man was writing a blog about women that are part of the itty bitty titty committee and making fun of them, women would riot, writing scathing comments and label the man a misogynist and being guilty of body shaming. Ladies, let’s stop excusing bad behavior and hiding behind jokes. If it was the other way around, women would be absolutely disgusted and make a huge deal.

Sydney almost ruined this book for me. I liked Kennedy and her relationship with Kane was great. Why did we have to hear about how amazing Sydney was every 30 seconds. I feel like she put Kennedy down every chance she got. I mean “you’re not really Kanes type” how would she know that when she had never met him? Based on information from the internet? Really reliable…

I loved that Kane finally got to be the dad he always wanted to be. I like Donovan and want to read his book but with Sydeny. Ugh I don’t know…

This next book in the Face-Off Series is a pretty good follow-up.

Tyler Kane is the ultra-reserved captain of the Flyers. After unexpectedly enjoying meeting and speaking with reporter/online blogger, Kennedy Lockwood, the two embark on a relationship that will change their lives.

I was a little unhappy with the way the book ended. I was looking for a little extra to the story, and didn't expect the abrupt end. However, that won't stop me from reading Book #3.

Book 2 of the series each book is getting better and better as we get to know the characters. Kane and Kennedy are a case of opposites attract. Kane makes Kennedy's heart throb on and off the ice .Kane is a hockey player for the flyers and Kennedy is a journalist. Can one interview with can start a fire that can't be put out? You will love Kennedy and Kane's banter as well as meet some new characters and catch up with some old characters. Cant' wait to read the next book in the series Donovan.
