Disclaimer: I like romances. I like silly romances, historical romances, sports romances... Check my other reviews for proof that I do not blast a book just because it isn't serious literature. In fact, Sports Romance Series and Bodice Rippers Historical Romance are my favorite secret, guilt pleasure, but the story needs to be good. Sexy abs on the cover is not quite enough.

I was really looking forward to Jameson's book, but I was disappointed. I didn't like it for a LOT of reasons, which I will explain below if you care to read, but I'll give the short answer Top Three reasons here:
1. This is the same story with the same recycled character motivations and background as the others. I am beginning to think that if you have read one book in these two series, you have read them all. (See below for specifics.)
2. The heroine is a carbon copy of Charlotte/ Coach from the first book, and that annoyed me for a LOT of reasons. (Guess what? Details below.)
3. It was boring. I was bored. Most of the book was about them NOT being together and that did not make interesting reading. Plus, the entire tone of the story just felt remote, distant somehow, and didn't pull me in at all. The only time the author got interested was when she was writing about the couple from the first book.

Ok, if you'd like to read some of my reasons, carry on below.

Is there anything better than a sexy as sin nerd with a body of an athlete? I. Don’t. Think. So. Jameson O’Connor has my heart ladies and I don’t know about you but this cover gets me all hot and bothered!

Jameson O’Connor never expected to be asked to be a Man-Of-Honor but that’s exactly what happens when his bride-to-be best friend asks him just that. With his new video game releasing soon and all of the bridal duties, Jamie hasn’t even had time to figure out a date to take to the wedding. Then Regan Turner waltzes into his life, she’s spunky and sporty just the way he likes but with all of his other obligations, will he be able to keep her?

“He has my body and heart under his spell. Both of which are his.”

Wow, I felt pure happiness while reading Jameson. I adored Jamie from the beginning when Parker, the first book in the Face-Off series was released. Having all the characters together in one book just made my heart so happy!

Jameson is every inner fantasy we have ever had because I know we all secretly love the sexy nerdy types. He is so loyal, funny, smart as hell and he knows his way around a bedroom! Jamie is a computer nerd, he creates video games which I think is like the coolest thing ever. You don’t see that often in books and it makes for some interesting facts! He has a heart of gold and a past he is still trying to overcome, like I said before I just adore this man!

Isn’t Regan such a unique name!? I love her name and I love her character even more. Regan Turner is a little spitball of fire, she is sassy, fun and her catch phrases are the best! She loves everything sports but she is also a closet nerd and can kick some ass in video games. I thought her and Jamie were perfect for each other, their personalities flow so well together. It was hilarious reading about all their dirty Star Trek talk!

Regan peels her lips from mine and says, “Hurry up and take me into the bedroom so I can check out your hard drive.”
“Oh, my God, Woman,” I laugh once. “You’re out of control."

The chemistry between these two is unreal! I mean I thought the alpha hockey players had some hot sex but I’m pretty sure my nerdy couple takes the win on that one! Like what in the world, I was loving it, defiantly two thumbs up for me!

Jameson is defiantly the feel good read of the Summer. There is so much cuteness in this book that I can’t even take it. It flows so well though with all the hotness and the fun that is also beneath this insanely hot cover! If the cover doesn’t sell itself then I’m pretty sure the characters written in these pages will. Jillian Quinn has created some of my favorite characters ever!

“My head spins from each kiss. We devour each other as if no one is around us when the halls are packed with screaming fans. But nothing matters at this moment. Only our love for one another and the future we will plan together. Nothing in my life felt complete until I met Jamie.”

If you haven’t read the Face-Off Series yet then I don’t know what you are waiting for! I’m so happy Jameson and Regan got their own story, it’s one that needs to be read :).

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book.

I couldn't wait to read Jameson's story. I absolutely love Jameson & Regan together. They just connected right from the start. Jamie is one sexy nerd that will have everyone claiming him as there book boyfriend. Jamie has always put Charlie first and now it's his time to put himself first and Regan is the one too show him that. Love seeing all the other characters from this series especially Parker & Coach's wedding. Another amazing read that I couldn't put down

Jillian has scored the ultimate winning goal with Nerdy Jameson. As I read each book in the Face-Off, I think it's the best one, yet I am proved wrong each time as I read the next one. Jameson is uniquely different from any sports romance I have read.

💋💋💋

Who hasn’t been waiting to see Jamie get the girl , this guy is so sweet and placid , such an achingly wonderful man , you can’t help but love him .
Unlike the other men in this series, he’s not the sporty, tough, macho male type, he’s a computer nerd ,a StarTrek fan and gets turned on if you talk dirty about his hard-drive, but that’s only if your name is Regan.
Passionate to the full with a lasting chemistry.
These two set the pages Alight .
Guaranteed-happy ending with this one . 🥰

Sexy nerd alert!

Cheesesteaks, penis cakes and sexy Star Trek jokes – oh myyyyyy. :)

Jillian Quinn's latest release Jameson is the fourth book in her Face-Off series of hockey romances. Jameson is Charlie Coachman’s best friend from book number one. They grew up together in the foster system and are not only best friends, but the only family each other has.

Charlie's wedding to Alex Parker is destined to be the event of the year, but her best friend and man-of-honor Jamie doesn't have a date, nor the time to meet a woman. He's a workaholic, a bit of a computer genius and is so focused on his success that he has little time for anything else.

Regan is hockey royalty and the daughter of the Philadelphia Flyers general manager and hockey legend Mike Turner. She’s strong, smart and sassy and she is not one to be pushed around. She loves her job working at the Wells Fargo Center alongside her father, but like Jamie, has little time for social life. Add in the fact that she has been burned too many times by men who just want to meet her father and she's taking a break from dating to focus on her career.

When she bumps into Jamie at a game there's an instant connection between the two of them, but when she finds out that he's connected to the team through Charlie, she assumes he's another big dumb jock and turns him down when he asks her out on a date.

Jamie doesn't give up though. He's intrigued by the beautiful, intelligent Regan and has no interest in who her father is, he just wants to get to know her better to see if their connection is as electric is it seems. As they get to know each other better they realize they have more in common than just their mutual friends. They’re both also closet nerds, workaholics and just plain good people at heart.

Their childhoods couldn't have been more different, Regan growing up in the luxury offered by her father the professional athlete and Jamie being shuffled through the foster system with people he wouldn't wish on his worst enemy, but they've both come out the other side of their upbringings with similar outlooks on life. Work hard, prove yourself and be a success.

When Jamie gets tied up with a project and a looming deadline from his nasty boss, his priorities get him into trouble and he starts to wonder if he truly has space in his life for another person. Will Regan and Jamieson be able to meet in the middle somehow to make time for both their relationship and their jobs or will their careers always come first?

This book is totally different from the first three in the series as it focuses on a friend of the team as opposed to one of the hockey players. In Jameson you get less of the egotistical bravado and cockiness that the athletes are famous for, but still get a fun, steamy romance featuring a sexy, handsome man with out of this world skills in the bedroom and the dirty talk we've grown to love from Jillian’s books.

Funny, sexy and sweet summer read. Don’t miss the wedding of the season!

Jillian Quinn has given us another book to fall immediately in love with. I was So excited for this book!! I have been anticipating this book since "Parker"(Book 1 in the "Face-Off" Series) came out!!! Jameson did not let me down! Jillian knows how to write boys you can fall in love with!! Jamie is so hot. He is the sexiest nerd ever!

Jameson is bogged down with work and doesn't have time for love not that he can find a girl who will put up with him and his best friend Charlie. She tends intimidated his girlfriends. Then comes Regan form the first moment he saw her he wanted to be with her. She is different than most girls and she is friends with Charlie so that's not a problem. He wants to be with her he just has to navigate between his job and her.

Regan has grown up in the sports business. Her dad is a Hockey Hall of fame so she knows all about sports and the guys who play them. She doesn't date sports players so she invest all her time in her job. Then she meets Jamie and she feels an immediate connection to him. He is not like all the other guys she is use to even if he dose look like a sports star. They have to find the time to be together because that's what they both want.

Two work-alcoholics who love sports, have hot sex and a great connection have to fight their work to be together!

Jamie and Regan have an instant connection that is so amazing to read. The story plays out so well and it is so fun to read. Jillian wrote an Amazing Book! I am SO in Love with Jaime and Regan!! They are so amazing together!! Jamie is so HOT new Book Boyfriend right here!! I loved that we got to see Charlie and Alex again I missed them!! This was such a cute romance!! You will enjoy it!! This book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading "Parker" first.

Not bad. I just didn't get all so warm about the main characters. I think their childhood gets mentioned once or twice but so matter of fact rather than in depth that it's not as developed. I HATED that his boss said douchebag stuff in front of Regan and still Jamie didn't stand up. I speed read over the intimate scenes because I read so many books...but I do pay attention to worship and reverence and this seemed more about her being all dressed up for a wedding and he insisted in having sex. Not that hot. My opinion.
Not the best in the series.

Very slow

To be upfront, I only got through 40%. It is at this point that our H/h are having their first date.

I don't normally review a book I have not read completely but felt compelled to say something about this one.

To tell the truth, I'm not real sure if the heroine is "Coach" ( yes, it is a girl) or Regan. I'm pretty sure it is Regan since Coach is engaged. But the author may being heading toward a surprise.

At 40% I feel I know more about his friend Coach than I do about Regan.

As you can see, I found this book very slow and with seemingly little direction.

But maybe I stopped before the good part. All those positive reviews cannot be wrong.

It's a whirlwind romance readers get to be a part of as a hard working videogame creator finds himself drawn to the daughter of hockey royalty. From start to finish emotional ups and downs, obligations and desires, weigh on this appealing couple to keep their HEA in doubt while I rooted for them every step of the way.

Introduced in the first installment of the Face-Off series, Jameson's been Charlie's best friend since their days in foster care. It was them against the world and they vowed that they'd make something of themselves one day. Years later and they're still tight-knit, even with Charlie's engagement to a hockey star, and Jameson's ready to do his duty as Man of Honor at her upcoming wedding. Seeing her happiness is infectious, and amongst all the chaos of wedding planning, he finds himself drawn to a tiny bundle of energy who challenges him. Meeting Regan catches him off guard as he's never thought of having a relationship before but being with her has him thinking of the future. His dedication to work though puts their future in doubt and has him making big changes that brought this romance to a cheer-worthy conclusion. Jameson's a delicious hero who would clearly do anything for his friend. He's willing to embarrass himself and take a ribbing from the hockey players who inhabit their world, which endeared him to me. When it comes to love though he's torn between striving for success and his happiness. It's a common conflict in real life and I'm happy to see it addressed here as it gave this story a relatable dose of realism.

Regan's the kind of heroine you can see yourself hanging out with. She's not overly girly, enjoys sports, and is more comfortable in casual attire than glamorous garb. She's well-liked, outgoing, with a personality that's similar to Charlie. That's probably part of the reason why Jameson's first attracted to her, while her interest in gaming and ability to forgive his numerous cancellations for work further intrigues him. Regan loves hockey and is proud of her father's accomplishments but it's clear she longs for more when it comes to her career. She wants something just for herself instead of it being because of her pedigree and her rocky relationship with Jameson furthers her desire for change. Through all of the ups and downs in her steamy relationship with Jameson, Regan remains an immensely likable heroine who stands up for herself even when tempted by his unrelenting sensuality. Though Jameson was the star of this story, Regan was an enjoyable highlight who was more than a match for him.

Readers looking for a fast-paced romance with bits of humor and lots of sexiness will get just that with this fourth installment in the Face-Off series. Time together for this couple amounted to play in and out of the bedroom as well as interactions with characters from the previous books in this series. Those interactions were charming, brought a smile to my face, and made Jameson even more likable. Heartfelt talks balanced with scorching and clandestine encounters kept me invested in the relationship between these two appealing personalities while rooting for them to work past their issues to get their HEA. Fans of sports romances will find this a pleasant addition to the genre and will have them seeking out the previous installments in this series and greatly anticipating what Ms. Quinn crafts next.

Another great listen from Jillian Quinn.
This book is Jameson's story if you have read or listened to the other books, you will know Jameson as Jamie who is Charlie/Coach's best friend.
But unlike Charlie he is not sporty at all, he is in fact a tech nerd,a computer and gaming genius and a very sexy one as that.
God I love a sexy nerd.!!
But he does attend sports events with Charlie and charity events too,and it is at one of these events that he comes across Regan.
Regan works with her father who just so happens to be a Hockey legend, she has grown up around Hockey and she feels like she is living in her father's shadow.
Having a famous Dad means her love life is ruined because guys only want to be with her so they can get to know her Dad.So she vows never to date any athlete.
So when she meets Jameson she automatically believes he is an Athlete because he knows Charlie and his physique is that of someone who plays sports...So when he asks her to dinner she turns him down.
But Regan regrets it because she cannot stop thinking about him, there was an instant connection with them.
So when she discovers he is in fact a gamer it is all systems go to try to find him again.
Jameson can't stop thinking about Regan too but can't understand why she rejected him...anyway they do bump into one another again and they get together to test games, were they get to know one another.
But Jameson's job is non stop and he never gets any breaks or time off,the company he works for is running him into the ground..He keeps letting Regan down and its this that could break them apart.
..This story is also narrated by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden, who continue to be superb at telling this story and and all the stories in this series.I have throughly enjoyed listening to them.
This book is both sexy and sweet I love Jameson ,where can I find me a sexy nerd like that he is delicious, romantic and sweet.
Regan is perfect for him and together they both bring out the best in one another, giving eachother the confidence to step outside of their comfort zones and go for their dreams.
I loved them as a couple.
and relished this story, its a fantastic Audiobook.
5 Stars.

Wow!!! Talk about a fantastic awesome book. This is the 1st book I've read by Jillian and I am just blown away. I freaking loved Jameson & Regan their characters were so believable you'd think they'd just jump off the pages and carry on. This story is about a bff who happens to be a guy named Jameson aka Jamie who is a game programmer and his bff happens to be sports agent Charlotte "Charlie" "Coach" is getting married to Alex Parker who is a hockey player and she wants Jamie to be her "Man Of Honor" I mean who makes this stuff up apparently there is such a thing, anyway Jameson will do just about anything for Charlie even be her Man Of Honor. Then you have sweet lovable Regan Turner and is a 5'2 little spitfire who has had to live in her Dads shadow from when he was a famous hockey player himself and now was the GM for the Flyers. These 2 meet while at a Flyers game and the attraction is mutual and he asks her out on a date, but she finds out he's Charlies friend and decides not to accept, because Regan has made it a rule to not date hockey players or anyone who is into sports and she mistakenly thinks Jameson plays sports and decides she's not going to or does she? If there ever was a book you need to get it needs to be this book & you don't have to know anything about hockey to fall in love with this loveable computer nerd and Regan and all their friends. It had me laughing throughout the book at what Jamie experiences as he has to go through being the man of honor. Get this book you won't be disappointed.

When his best friend asks him to be her man-of-honor Jameson O'Connor has his reservations about saying yes, the idea of helping plan a wedding and handling all jobs that she is too busy for, gives him the hives... but then again she has been there for him every time he has needed her so he owes her big. Between his work duties, and man-of-honor duties he has forgotten to look for a date for the wedding, then a spunky beauty breezes into his life and turns it upside down and soon he knows exactly who he wants standing by his side all night of the wedding... problem is he doesn't have a whole lot of free time to date... and he knows one date with her will never be enough!

Regan Turner eats, sleeps, and breath sports, but she also likes her video games too, and when she meets fellow gamer Jameson O'Connor she knows she has met her match. He is smart, good looking, kind, and loves channeling his inner nerd just as much as she does... their a match made in heaven. But with all of her work duties she has very little time to date, and her trust issues with men she has her reservations about getting involved with him...

Jameson is an amazing addition to the Face-Off series, the moment my eyes landed on the first page I was instantly addicted and ended up devouring it all in one sitting...it was SO HOT!!! Jameson and Regan have undeniable chemistry that can be felt throughout and their sexual encounters will leave blushing... and maybe a little week in the knees too! I highly recommend you give this book a try, you will not be disappointed!

Oh Jameson. Be still my heart!! Jillian has done it again and given us another hottie to drool over this summer. I loved everything about Jameson!! You really see his heart in this book and it's adorable to see just how far he'll go for his best friend, Charlie. He was so different than the others we've encountered in this series, but he still belonged right along them! I love that he had his own unique personality and quirks, but fit right in with these bad ass NHL players and their women! Enter Regan...a part of the NHL royal family and just what Jameson doesn't know he's looking for.
Right away the chemistry between Jameson and Regan is hot and adorable (it can be both, right?!)
They just understand each other immediately and together they made my little nerd heart pitter patter! I loved everything about them. And honestly, what's better than Star Trek references, video games, and grand gestures? Not much!! I definitely think everyone needs a little Dimples and Foxy action in their lives!!

Jamie’s best friend Charlie is about to be married and he is the man or honor however the only problem is that he doesn’t have a date. Due to his upbringing Jamie is driven to succeed financially and he hasn’t spared the time for a relationship.

Regan is the daughter of the hockey team’s GM. She is tired of men only wanting to be with her because of who her father is so she has decided to focus on her career.

A chance meeting at a game between Regan and Jamie and their chemistry was electric however she assumes that he is another jock trying to use her to get close to her father so declines his advances. Jamie is not prepared to give up so easily and it’s game on but will the responsibilities of their everyday lives be more than their new relationship can handle or will they find a way to have both?

This author is one of my must reads and this is a great addition to this series. Their banter was humorous and their chemistry off the charts. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Book 4 in the series - and they just keep getting better! The "hotness" of a sexy computer nerd that is also a sports fan had me swooning for the entire read! Jamie is a workaholic with a female sports agent (Charlotte/Charlie/Coach) as his best friend and only family. Charlie's wedding to a hockey player is going to be a huge event and as her best friend and man-of-honor, Jamie needs a date. With Jamie's work schedule, social life tends to take a back seat (and as a foster kid - so do real relationships). Then he meets Regan. Regan in many ways is Jamie's equal - she works a lot, she loves video games and she tends to be wary of outsiders. HOWEVER, Regan works for her hockey royalty father - and she tends to distrust most men, as her past has shown that most just use her for her father/connections. This is their story. I loved that all the previous characters are part of the story - I have loved the male/female platonic friendship of Jamie/Charlie throughout all the books - and I LOVED the chemistry between Regan/Jamie. Highly, Highly recommend this book and series!

Book 4 in the Face Off series is now officially my favourite!!
Jillian has written the most scorching hottest nerd that has ever been written. I loved everything about Jameson - he is super smart, has a body of an athlete and the face of a GQ model. His only negative quality is that he is a workaholic.
Regan is a workaholic also, but she manages to be able to prioritise her heavy work schedule and her limited social activities.
What I liked about the two together is that they recognised their attraction and compatibility with one another right from the start. They did not lead each other on, instead vocalising to each other what the other said or did was attractive to them.
Now it wouldn't be a true romance novel if their wasn't a hiccup towards the end, but the way Jameson redeems himself was just beautiful.
I have read everything by Jillian, and I look forward to reading more of her stories.

This book was frustrating. Regan, on paper, is my kind of girl. She works really hard, loves sports, and was really independent. Unfortunately, as soon as she met Jameson she quickly lost her appeal in my eye. Both of them had really demanding jobs and lining up schedules was difficult and I understood that but she got stood up twice in this book after repeatedly trying to contact him. Watching Jameson put her second behind his job was really frustrating especially since she seemed okay with it for the first few months. There was never really any serious conversations between the two and I never felt like I got to know them as they got to know each other. It really felt like they were two people who just liked being in each other's company. I didn't like her ignoring him because she was angry either. I think the two of them needed to communicate better than what they did and really get to know each other.

I loved it

After reading Parker I just knew that Jamie needed a woman of his own so I'm glad he got his own book. Jameson grew up in foster care and had no family except for his best friend Charlotte "Coach" Coachman who was in foster care with him. Charlie as he calls her is a world famous sports agent so she is constantly surrounded by athletes so when Jamie meets Regan, the daughter of a hall of Famer NHL star, and current GM of the Flyers she assumes he is an athlete and refuses his request for a date, but he didn't give up. He was far from a jock, he was a nerd, and a gamer something they had in common. But unfortunately those games he was writing were also going to tear them apart, time after time, he had to cancel dates, how much was a girl supposed to forgive? I can't wait to read more of this series and the next generation

Jilian Quinn has done it again! I absolutely loved reading about Regan and Jameson. The book is well written and the storyline makes sense. Jillian introduces us to Coach's best friend, Jameson, in this book. Jameson is a game designer and is quite a sweet man but he's a workaholic. He really doesn't have time to date, so when he meets Regan...an instant connection is made and they are both smitten by one another. . However...when she sees that Coach knows Jameson...she shuts the door on Jameson when he asks her out. But...why? When he finds out why...he's surprised of her reason. But as they get to know each...things go in a direction that they both want. However...things happen. Will they overcome these obstacles?

One way to find out....read JAMESON.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Another amazing addition to the Face-Off series!! I’ve been waiting for Jameson and wow he did not disappoint! Jameson and Regan were amazing together, smoldering hot chemistry and just off the chart sexy hot couple. It’s Jameson’s turn for happiness and it’s time for him to take the reins and run with it. He meets Regan and the connection is instant but they both are pretty much workaholics. Will these two be able to find the time to see if their connection can lead to something more? I enjoyed the incorporation of everyone from the series, I love them all, but Jameson and Regan have become my favorites. No spoilers here, a definite must read ladies, you won't be disappointed.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In this book we have Jameson "Jamie" O'Connor. He has been best friends with Coach Alex Chapman.

Coach has asked Jamie to be her best man maid of honor. Jamie knows he doesn't have time with work to do a lot with Coach to help her prepare for the wedding, but he knows he needs to be there for his best friend, even if dress shopping will kill him.

We also have Reagan Hamilton, whose father is the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team Manager. She usually gets treated differently once everyone knows who her father is. She's never sure if people like her for herself or for whom her father is.

Will Reagan and Jamie be able to start a relationship? Will they be able to hold onto one?

This has been one of the best books I have read in a long time! I love this entire series. Jillian Quinn makes me fall in love with the characters. She created a family with each new character she introduced and each book builds on the previous which means you never have to wonder what happens to the rest of the characters in the previous books because they make several apparences on the following books. The extended epilogue was by far one of the best I have ever read. I am always looking for a a little more on the futures of all characters in a series and boy did Jillian deliver! I'm so excited to hear that she is creating a spin off series for the children of the characters from this series!

I fell for Jamie's character in Parker, and was super excited when I realized he'd finally gotten his own story. I liked that Ms. Quinn added her own flair to his story, making it different from the others, though still set in the hockey world.

I liked that Regan & Jamie didn't beat around the bush when it came to their attraction, either. They were upfront and didn't play any games (no pun intended :)!)

After being disappointed by "Donovan", this installment was a great one that worked to restore my faith in this series. It was good to catch up with all the other couples, as well. I definitely recommend this book!!!

I liked the book...unfortunately I didn’t figure out that I had read books one and two from the follow up series and book 3 and 4 from this series, so it really threw me off. Once I figured it out, I was able to enjoy the book more, but still have a hard time reconciling the timelines. Make sure you read the face off series first and then the face off legacy. This book takes place in 2017, but you will find in the legacy series that their sons are all in college...and they are somehow all the same age but they are born years apart. Like I said, the timeline was off and that bugs me, but the story was good.

Another great book by Ms. Quinn. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was funny, sexy, loved the characters and their relationship and the story line was perfect. Jameson was such a sweetheart and when he finally met someone who could relate to him it was so nice. And the things he did for his best friend was awesome. He went out of his way to make things perfect and it showed just how much their friendship meant to him. This was one of the best books of this author that I read because it was a such a sweet love story and I truly loved it.

*Audiobook review* I was happy to dive back into the world that Parker (my 1st Jillian Quinn story) was set in, and was glad to see that I got a glimpse of that couple while learning about Jamie and Regan. I fully expected Jamie to be a hockey player, so it was an interesting change to not only have Jamie not be an athlete, but Regan's only connection was her father being GM for a team so little of this story was about hockey. This was a great story told well by both narrators, and I was more than happy with the HEA at the end.
