Excellent book.
I’m totally addicted to this series.
The brilliant characters/teammates, they are brothers in all but blood. One thing that’s not on the cards is the best friends sister , that’s a no go .
Obviously that’s where he goes.
But the whole plot is great and is a wonderful page turner.
There’s passion and romance, there’s tension and upset .
Awesome book .

Die Vorgänger dieser Reihe kenne ich diesmal nicht, hat aber in dem Fall nicht weiter gestört, da man nicht viel von den anderen Spielern mit bekommen hat.
Eigentlich dreht es sich die ganze Zeit um Mia und Ethan und ein wenig um Will, Mias Bruder.
Ethan ist Wills bester Freund und in der Highschool Zeit gab es eine Phase zwischen ihn und Mia, da hatten die beiden ein kleines Geheimnis.
Doch dann war Ethan weg und Mia hat nie wieder was von ihm gehört bis er eine Tages in Wills Eishockey Mannschaft kam. Aber sie ist ihm aus dem Weg gegangen so gut es ging.
Doch mitten in der Nacht tauchen Will und Ethan auf und wollen sich bei Mia einquartieren, weil es in ihrer Wohnung einen Wasserschaden gab.
Und so kommen sich Mia und Ethan schnell wieder näher.
Ein süße Geschichte ohne großes Drama in diesen Fall. An sich überlegen Mia und Ethan wie sie es Will sagen, der natürlich seine Schwester mit Argusaugen behütet. Auf der anderen Seite ist da noch ein Teil von Ethans Vergangenheit, von den Mia nichts weiss und wo Ethan befürchtet dass Mia ihn dann verlässt, schließlich hat sie was besseres verdient als ihn.
Die Geschichte war angenehm zu lesen und zwar etwas vorhersehbar aber doch schön.
Ich werde noch schauen das ich die anderen Bänder lese, da diese Geschichte so schön locker und leicht war. Lohnt sich wenn man mal die Seele baumeln lassen möchte.

A repeat?
I’ve read this story before, though some points were changed. I’m annoyed I paid for a repeat of another book, released under a different name. The plot and characters weren’t connected to the Face Off series and didn’t make sense as a part of it.

Wer kann einem heißen Eis-Hockey-Mitbewohner schon lange widerstehen?
Ethan Waters muss sich eigentlich gerade voll und ganz auf seine Eis-Hockey-Karriere konzentrieren: Seine Mannschaft hat es endlich in die Play-Offs geschafft und die Meisterschaft ist zum Greifen nahe. Doch sein Privatleben macht es ihm schwer, nur noch Eis-Hockey im Kopf zu haben. Denn nachdem sein Apartment durch einen Wasserrohrbruch unbewohnbar wurde, hat sein bester Freund ihn kurzerhand bei seiner Schwester Mia untergebracht. Was Ethan's Freund nicht weiß: zwischen ihm und Mia knistert es schon seit Jahren gewaltig und nur mit größter Anstrengung ist es ihm bisher gelungen, der Versuchung nachzugeben. Doch wie soll Ethan die Anziehung, die zwischen ihm und Mia herrscht ignorieren, wenn sie jeden Tag aufeinandertreffen?
Für mich einer der schwächeren Teile dieser Serie. Es kam einfach keine rechte Spannung auf. Mia und Ethan kennen sich von früher, es handelt sich also um einen " second- chance " Roman. Leider wird hier vielfach nur die schnöde Anziehungskraft beschrieben. Das ist zwar prickelnd aber auf Dauer doch ein wenig ermüdend. Ich habe mit den Füßen gescharrt und gedacht:" Das ist jetzt ein wenig sehr konstruiert und ein wenig weit hergeholt. Ein einfaches Gespräch und gut ist." Dann hätte man den Fokus auf andere Probleme legen können, wie z. B. Mias Job. Das hätte Spannungspotential gehabt. So wurde Mias Aktion nur mit einem Satz abgetan. Auch das Hin und Her auf der Gefühlsebene ließ mich recht kalt. Denn genau genommen hat das Problem, welches an Ethans Nerven zehrt nichts mit Mia zu tun und einem normal denkenden Mann wäre auch klar, dass eine liebende Freundin hierfür Verständnis zeigt. Denn die Schuld liegt in diesem Fall bei einer Krankheit und nicht bei Ethan. Der Sprachstil ist wunderbar und das Buch lässt sich flüssig lesen. Auch sind Mia und Ethan wunderbare Charaktere die es verdienen zueinander zu finden. Auch für Will habe ich ja noch Hoffnung:)

Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a well written story and hooked me from the start.This is a quick hot read, with a interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam!

Just.. don't waste your time. Im dnf'ing at 14% because the writing is simply that terrible. the characters are cliché, unlikable and just plain annoying. This is book 5 in the series? Astounding considering this reads like someone's first draft of.. well their first attempt at writing a book ever. Like that HP fanfic I wrote when I was 14.

Meh
This book started out good, but then got slow and repetitive. The author made the FMC's career seem like it was something important to the story and then just dropped it. Kinda made it seem like the author built it up and then had zero idea where to go with it. It was the same with the main guys past drug problem. One minute he was worried that the FMC was going to be too addictive and become a new type of addiction for him so he had to leave and get some space and then the next he's not even worried and wants to be around her all the time. Both the MC's seemed wishy washy to me and underdeveloped. It was an okay read and entertaining enough to read once, but I wouldn't go back and read it again and I probably wont read the rest of the series

This is a sweet hockey romance with a little spice.
I felt awkward when the FMC and MMC first found each other and had the same feeling when the second chance happened. However, after that and throughout the book, I started getting used to them.
An easy read, simple and uncomplicated love story with HEA.

3 stars. Not so much enemies-to-lovers but more brothers-best-friend with a huge misunderstanding. Their get-together was a little too insta for me and not enough groveling. I found myself skimming paragraphs and by the end it didn’t have much substance or plot.

Good plot! The pacing was great and i liked how you read from both perspectives of the characters so you got to know what they truly felt and were thinking. It is also based where I live which is pretty cool too.
