I don't know if things are actually improving or if I have just conditioned myself to the time and story jumps. Either way, four stars for the bonus material at the end where the artist "teaches" you how to draw things. Beautiful. Comedy.

Gorgeous lush illustrated manga brings legendary story to life. I have loved these manga books due to the illustration art, & I've followed the story of a human girl sacrificed to a water god to help bring her village what they most need in resources.

Problem with this series began before volume 11, as this series illustrated by this artist, & story told, the manga series became victim of its own success. To keep selling the books in this manga series the storyline became entangled back on its self in most dissatisfying way. Instead of allowing the story, the characters to reach a point where they resolved conflicts, to allow the married couple to have their "happily ever after," the couple was taken apart, moved around, again & again with no progress in the story. I began to hate the story, frustrated with the characters' idiot actions. Only the artwork seemed to be reason I was buying manga books in this series. I had to stop buying them & moved on to reading other books.

Nakbin finally kicks it, but not without taking one of Habaek’s eyes. Kind of tragic how toxic her mind got, but glad that arch is finally over. With Nakbin gone, Habaek can finally leave the Emperor’s palace and return to Soah! Buuuut, not before we find out that Yo Hee is actually the mother of the two warring Gods, and whats-her-face burned down the immortal fruit tree. Craziness!!

I was so excited for Shoah and Habaek to come back together, but this was very anti-climactic. The little bit of comic relief at their reunion was cute, but I was hoping for more fireworks. At least they’re together.

We also get to see Habaek’s parents’ relationship story. It reminded me a lot of Shakespeare’s “Sense & Sensibility.” Pretty cool.

Dong Wang Kong is the best father ever! hohoho, and his love story with Suh Wang Mo is really cute *sigh* too bad they had to be where they are right now. Bi Ryeom is still charming, Mura is still crazy over Habaek, and Yo Hee's identity was revealed! Didn't expect her to be the mother of two most powerful gods. I miss Hoo Ye, I wonder where he is aaaaand no matter how corny, Soah and Habaek are still a cute and funny pair, the unwelcome feels (due to how cheesy they are) keeps bombarding me! lmao

Decent volume. I understood what was happening, and there actually seems to be real tension in the plot to make me want to read more. There was some interesting developments in some of the characters' arcs. If the writing continues to improve this way I will definitely stick with this series.

So beautiful. I love that they are reunited but it is very perilous. It will be interesting to see what comes next.

I FREAKIN LOVE THIS SERIES! so far!! (I've only read to 11) such a fun and interesting story!! its a bit of a mix of all sorts of legends and things from Asia.

the story: a girl has a crappy life and is sacrificed to the water God Habaek to appease his displeasure so the drought will end (for her billage). She's a bit miserable at first and then starts to like life in Suguk (where Habaek lives) and all sorts of drama happens. Then you start to think that Habaek loves her, and then his first human bride (first love) comes back to life somehow and he goes back to her and then you find out that Fun, I am sure I make it sounds weird and confusing, but its a great story.

By now, in the story, you start to understand all the twisted relationships, and how they are not all bad and everyone is kind, except that one person >:O

So Yeah, I will own this one day, and I am super excited to read the rest of them!!! I also very much love the bonus material. so much.

side note: I'm not sure if its because its read the way I usually read books (left to right), or if there aren't as many words, but I read these a LOT faster than a typical manga volume. Great stuff.

Oh. My. God. There was an actual sfx that translated to ‘decomposing’.

I just laughed my ass off. :’D

People in this manhwa faint a lot. This volume is all about mui’s daddy issues and his mom’s overprotectiveness. Long, draggy and pointless. Yeesh.

In other news, mura finally lost it. Poor thing.

it's getting more interesting, and now I know the histories of character's which is nice. How they met, who's related, and all...

The faint-hearted girl came to me despite all the danger. So it's my turn to go to her.

"Why do you always have to run away when we can finally be together now?"
