An odd creepy and thrilling read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I personally wouldn't call it horrifying, Mr. Yoakum's writing is so direct and straightforward the stories blend into a well told narrative that has gory and violent overtones, but told in a way that's glorifying the splatter so it works really well in the context. It's well worth the read for any fan of horror, folklore, fantasy and just plain into unique stuff.
