Emily Tilton, whose books have hit number one on Amazon in six different erotica categories, wishes she could live out her fantasies of submission the way her characters do.

Emily's erotica is a narrative version of her nearly lifelong quest to reconcile her submissive erotic orientation with her ethics. She writes erotic romance, but her books are always frankly and unashamedly about sex, because writing about sex helps her understand that fundamental part of her life better. She hopes maybe it does the same for her readers.

Over the many years since Emily became aware of her sometimes unbearable craving for spanking, ravishment, and all the shameful things that go with it, she has tried to come to terms with that craving in more ways than she can count. The first of the ways was by reading, voraciously, every piece of BDSM erotica she could find.

Eventually, she read "Story of O." As is reflected throughout her work, it changed her life, though the change has been gradual, and continues to this day. The idea that other women might share the lusts she has by turns been ashamed of and defiantly proud of, that a woman like the real Pauline Réage might write so beautifully of those lusts, and work them out so thoroughly and even pitilessly on a character, put Réage's famous pencil in her right hand. Or, to put it in the terms of EXPLORATIONS, which she considers her magnum opus, it put her left hand on the keyboard of her laptop and her right hand in her lap, if you know what she means. Emily started to write spanking stories.

The only word to describe this story is SCORCHING.

I'm surprised my ereader didn't melt from the heat in this story. In His Blushing Bride Emily Tilton has yet again written an engaging erotic romance. Even though the book takes place over a only a week or so, and is compromised of 2 main scenes and several smaller ones, I still felt as though I got to know Sam and Mary really well.

That there was character growth and relationship development, even though the majority of the book was made of discipline and domination, is testament to the quality of writing. To me this is the author at her best, presenting a believable relationship between likeable characters and wrapping it all up in one erotic bow.

Sam's reticence to push and punish Mary, and the errors that followed, showed us just how much he cared for her. His acceptance of what he needed to do to help her was both sweet but also hugely sexy. His gentle dominance and firm insistence, along with his determination to ensure Mary obeyed him, produces one heck of a hot read and I'm only to happy to recommend this book.

The major thing that bothered me wasn't the spankings but when he slapped her across the face. That was too much and doesn't seem even in one's wildest imagination of a domestic discipline situation that slapping across the face is OK.

I’m not sure how to rate this. It’s like a feminist’s nightmare yet seriously hot. This is the first book of this type I’ve ever read and while the thought of living in this crazy chauvinistic society is nauseating I’m over here fanning myself. So honestly I don’t know if I should be horrified with myself or just enjoy the smut for what it is.

Another titillating tale from Ms. Tilton. While there are many references to the ways of the New Modesty and the expectations it puts on both women (submissives) and men (dominants) it does not require having read any of the previous books in the series and it does extremely well as a stand-alone book. This is the story Sam and Mary’s wedding night and the weeks that followed. Although the marriage was indeed consummated, it was not fulfilling for either of them. Mary’s extreme shyness and Sam’s apparent aloofness leaves both needing much more. As the story progresses, each of their needs become more apparent and the filling of those needs makes for some very humiliating punishments and even more graphically erotic sexual encounters. In the end, Mary gets everything she truly desires. A quick read that will leave the reader just as satisfied as Mary and Sam are. 5 quick Stars

Our heroine is newly married and a bit defiant, but our hero knows how to take care of that. Turns out our heroine is rather surprised by the results. All of the results.

This is an erotic story featuring D/S and punishment, primarily spanking. Like everything else I had read by this author, the story is well written, easy to read and very steamy. Our characters are well developed and the author describes our heroine's reactions to the various activities in great detail. The story does take place in the author's future world, but this one is sort of a side story, not part of the two or three main series. That being said, it has all the steamy activities you would expect from the author and all of it just as well done. Overall, another highly enjoyable entry for my library.

She was one girl who could get carried away.
In this new addition by Ms. Tilton, we have Sam and his wife Mary and dear Mary does find out that Sam is very strict. Emily’s book always brings the heat but gang this one is supercharged. I just loved it! This quick read had such fun characters, a good tale about newlyweds, and getting to know each other part. Mary may have had it a bit harder seen as she was the one that got disciplined. This society really does give mixed ideas to the young woman and it is a rather rude awaking when things turn out to be just a bit different, but that makes for such an entertaining read. Check it out it was a great piece. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Emily, Emily Emily what a hot little tome we have here. The relationship between Sam and Mary was really very sweet and the story grew as they learned about each other. A very good domestic discipline erotic love story between characters you can get involved with. Although Sam dished out the discipline he did it in a caring manner which is necessary to make the story into what was a love story. Mary was only 19 and niave but was a super character and Sam was obviously all alpha male. I totally recommend this book. Another great story from the Tilton stable of good and erotic stories. Not read a bad one yet!

I enjoy reading Emily Tilton's books. They are definitely male dominated, but we do enjoy that fantasy. Mary is a young bride of 19. She really doesn't know what to expect and when she goes to the class that is required for all 18-19 year old women, she gets the impression that if she enjoys sex, she is loose. Her husband Sam, is nine years older than she is and tries to be supportive. But, instead of talking to one another, Sam goes to the New Modesty office for advice. You have to love an author who can create a world, fill it with people and then write about several different time periods and it all makes sense! Emily has done just that. Yeah, sometimes it can boggle the mind a little as you try to fit everything in to a whole story. But just give it a little time to perk in your mind. Sooner or later, you start to make the connections between the series. This book is one of those. I had always wondered how new couples got started in the New Modesty, now I know!

Mary is 19 years old and on her wedding night her husband acts funny. She's a virgin and he rolls over and falls asleep, Hum. Sam doesn't know what went wrong in his marriage but he's going to a professional to find out. Mary doesn't know what to expect but the class is for all 18 and 19 year old's. What happens is she's young and Sam is older and they just don't talk to each other. Very good story. Another enjoyable story from Emily Tilton. I enjoy Emily Tilton's books. Her strong, alpha, disciplinarian men always dominate her willful, often naive young women. This book was almost the same with a slight twist. When Sam and Mary got married, Sam seems to have needed an instruction manual, so he heads to a professional. The book is a fun, fast, steamy read. I enjoyed it!

This book focuses solely on misperceptions of shame on the part of the bride you couldn't get wet if you wanted to. Not worth the read.
