Once, I knew what my future was going to be like. I was bound to mate an Alpha chosen by my father, to be his Omega and have his pups. But I changed that future when I dared to fight off my would-be mate. When I killed him and became a rogue wolf.
There's only one place left for me now - Rogue Wolves Prison. The penitentiary built for the most vicious, unrepentant werewolves alive. It's not a place where I can expect to survive sane, let alone find love and a soulmate.
But all my expectations, hopes and fears are torn apart the moment I meet Killian Wolfsbane.
He's fierce, destructive, stronger than any werewolf I've seen. He's the leader of The Killers, the gang that holds almost as much power over the prison as the Warden. He looks at me with yearning and protects me, but can't seem to bear my presence. I can see myself in his grief.
It's foolish to pursue the attraction between us. It's foolish to hope. It's foolish to expect salvation. But maybe it's not foolish to believe in him. Rogue Wolves Prison might be hellish, but there might be a future for me here.
This wasn't really a typical Omegaverse. There was one brief sex scene and there was a knot but that was it. This was mostly a shifter story and pretty juvenile at best.
Why did I waste three days of my life on this? I mean , why God? Why put me through such pain and misery??? I'm really ecstatic that THAT is over... This book 'Rogue Wolves Prison'( captivating title) was my first read by the author Eva Brandt. And surely my last read too.
This book is about an omega who is cheated upon by her own father-the alpha and her real brother-the beta (brother later claims that it was due to the whole wolfy positions and submissions business). Her father and brother put the blame of a crime that they committed upon her so as to safeguard and preserve the legacy and name of their pack. They send her to one of the most dreaded prisons in the wolf world, by convincing everyone in their pack that she's the criminal. Awesome family goals!!! And instead of fighting for her escape and the real truth, she finds the love of her life at a prison. I MEAN... WHAT ELSE DO YOU GO TO PRISON FOR????? IT'S SO THAT YOU CAN FIND YOUR ONE AND ONLY. *deep breaths*
*more deep breaths*
TBH, there is something captivating about the whole soul mate thingy. It depends upon the way the author presents it and not the identities of the characters. The presentation of everything in this book was really pathetic. Deplorable. The world building , the character development, the writing flair, the plot - everything was non existent. I would not recommend this book to anyone if you paid me for it. Honest.
Not as insane and dark as I hoped it would be but bad-ass werewolf fights, some torture scenes, intense moments and unfortunately a relationship without much of chemistry.
Don't get me wrong, it was bloody and it was gruesome at times but from the synopsis I expected this to be a bit darker. I really loved the plot and how it all went down though. I was totally transformed into the world and the events.
The relationship between Angela and Killian was so sudden. If you really think about it, it didn't make much sense other than them clearly being mates. I love seeing the chemistry between characters and unfortunately I didn't really see it in this one which I'm a bit sad about. I've gotten over it now though, I don't mind it that much anymore since I did like them together.
This gave me Prison Break vibes, only like a tiny bit of course but it was still cool. Rogue Wolves Prison is for the most vicious werewolves alive but it didn't feel like that. Yeah some were horrible but I don't know, they didn't all seem that vicious and insane to me. Killian and his gang, The Killers, for example were supposed to be the most savage werewolves in the prison but it wasn't shown that much. I'm sure they were but I would've liked to see more of it.
I loved the writing. It was very descriptive and definitely made me shiver a couple of times. I loved that about this the most, how it made my feel like I was seeing it happen right in front of me. I think this was well done, maybe if this was a longer book, it could've had more time to explore the prison's wolves and the relationships and whatnot. Still I truly did like this book and the ending totally warmed my heart!
"I've long ago stopped believing in happy endings and soulmates. But when I'm with you, Angela, everything is different. I believe again."
Wow what a great book. I can't wait for more from this author. This series so far has been rocking! Has everything in it I love for a book. Though there are parts that will make some people squeamish. So adults only with a open mind as I like to call it. Main characters were fantastic and the plot was great too. I hope there is more to this book coming soon ♡♡. Angela can't wait for her prison sentence to start, because that means she won't be reminded how her family disowned her, she'll have other stuff to worry about. She still can't believe she killed her intended alpha mate her father picked for her. Then she meets someone totally unexspected...
DNF 65% I ended up DNFing this book because the plot didn't really grip me. It had some potential, but the execution wasn't as good as it could have been. The characters' reactions to things and some of their actions just came off distinctly teenage and there were times where I couldn't take them seriously. Overall, I'd just say that the writing style wasn't for me.

A slightly formulaic but otherwise enjoyable Omegaverse tale
In the remotest reaches of the desert, there stands a prison where only the most dangerous werewolves are housed. With walls of solid steel and silver-lined bars the Alphas and Betas you encounter in this place are not to be messed with. It is in this environment that Angela Ash finds herself thrust after murdering her promised mate. As the lone Omega in the facility, Angela is extremely vulnerable to attacks from not only the inmates but the prison guards as well. Killian Wolfsbane is the most dangerous Alpha in Rogue Wolves Prison. Charged with the murder of his Alpha father, Killian has been disowned by his pack and left to rot in the desert fortress. But with the Omega’s arrival, Killian feels the atmosphere in the prison change. What Killian doesn’t know is that the Omega he can’t get out of his head could very well be his soulmate. But when a new owner makes himself known, Killian is faced with a past he wished would stay buried. I was first introduced to the entire concept of Omegaverse through Wattpad fanfiction (Yes, I admit it. I’m a sucker for Wattpad). I was immediately drawn into the stories and I thought that they were well thought out, highly imaginative, and very nicely executed. With most of my authors in between updates or with stories on hold for one reason or another, I decided to look for an Omegaverse that didn’t involve the same cast of characters. I picked up a copy of Rogue Wolves Prison and figured I would give it a shot. While the story did hold my attention and the characters were likable and even interesting, I was disappointed mostly in the execution. Maybe I was spoiled by the imagination and intricacies of the prior fics I read, but I thought this story was a tad formulaic and almost cliché at times. (including a really utterly predictable event, but I will not spoil it here in my review.) So, I didn’t love the story, I also didn’t hate it. I just wished that I got more Omegaverse and less “Harlequin Romance”.
This prison story starts with a wrongly accused Omega facing the very scary situation of become an inmate and soon cooking face-to-face with some very real criminals in paranormal romance. Is there any hope once she is literally thrown to the wolves?? Killian is the biggest, scariest alpha in the rogue prison and he's out for revenge. He's got a plan and it doesn't include the tempting little Omega that just landed in the prison like the piece of fresh meat that she is. These two need each other more than either think. It goes fast. There is little side character development, but the basic storyline is interesting. Something things that are introduced don't make sense or there was no point to the overall story, shop why bother. Like the warden, was said not to be a shifter. Why bother bringing it up if not going to do anything with it? There is very little world-building, so hard to understand difference between magic and what get from dust? But overall, solid story.

Accusations and Betrayals. Angela has been sent to Rogue Wolves Prison for killing her promised mate. But he tried to rape her and now her pack and especially the alpha which is also her father, and her brother, have all turned on her. As an omega, going to a prison with a lot of alpha male wolves is dangerous. She will be hunted. But she attracts the attention of the most fearsome alpha there, Killian. Killian know Angela is his mate and he and his pack have been trying to escape for years and they are close. Now he will take her with him. But then an enemy from his past comes to the prison and tries to take Angela for his own. In the ensuing battle, Angela remembers the night she killer her attacker. But she finally remembers what really happened and she has been betrayed by her family and pack in the worst way. She and Killian have to get out because they both have to get revenge on the people who betrayed them and falsely charges them with murder. I'll admit that I picked this book up thinking it was another with a similar plot. But by the time I realized my mistake I decided to just go with it. But, ya'll, this book is a mess. It's underdeveloped, cheesy, and simplistic.
Angela seemed to develop abilities as-needed...in fact, whole plot points that made no sense popped up as-needed. The villain that showed up at the prison seemed to be evil for no apparent reason and showed up to be maniacally and actively evil for, again, no apparent reason. I almost got whiplash from the 'I did this, no, my family did that, no, they're good after all.' It made the whole thing feel inconsistent.
Worst of all, that same back-and-forwards left Angela feeling utterly without agency. Sure, not every heroine has to be a strong character, but she's basically a limp rag. Killian had a little more character, but not much.
Angela has been kicked out of her pack, and sentenced to serve time in the Rogue Wolves Prison, but it's going to be dangerous for her to go to the prison being an Omega wolf, and the prison having heaps of Alpha wolves ready to try and claim her. She is impressed by Killian who seems to be making an escape the day she is being put into prison. Killian can't seem to stop thinking about Angela, but he can't let her distract him from his plans, although can he resist the pull of her? I enjoyed this prison/werewolf romance, both Killian and Angela were easy to like, and their story was interesting with enough action/danger to keep you turning the pages.

I loved the originality of this book. The stories are superbly crafted and were larger than life. Strong personalities and the determination to make their own life choices land these rogue wolves in prison. The author's writing style is fast-paced and the keeps the reader enthralled from start to finish. There is a darkness to the story with betrayal, violence, abuse and emotional and physical struggles and is a story of people learning that actions have consequences and facing those is no picnic. But at the same time there is a light that shines through in with loyalty, romance, passion, courage and truth. All in all a truly wonderful read that I can highly recommend.

I enjoyed reading this book and loved the whole idea of it, but I wish it had been longer. The twists were fantastic, but would’ve felt more impactful if all the characters had been more fleshed out throughout the book. The chemistry was strong between the two main characters, but there wasn’t enough interaction between them to really create a strong foundation. More world building, character development, and relationship/friendship growth between all of the characters would’ve made the ending feel more emotionally compelling.
I don’t regret reading it though, because I did really enjoy the concept! So much so that I wanted more from it.
Very well written and so enjoyable. Really enjoyed this and would read it again. These two were meant for each other. Love these alpha and omega stories. This couple sure went through a lot before things finally went right for them. A sexy alpha male and a feisty beautiful omega. The story and supporting characters were written into the story perfectly. I can't say enough about this. Lots of violence but fits in well with the premise of the story. I recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
She is an Omega werewolf convicted of murdering the Alpha her father chose to be her mate. He is an Alpha werewolf convicted of murdering his pack Alpha, his father. Both are sentenced to spend the rest of their lives in Rogue Wolves Prison, where the worst of werewolf offenders are sent to be punished for their crimes.
Unique characters that meet under the worst circumstances imaginable. Violence, suspense, and romance. Fantastic book.

Loved this story, a paranormal prison romance with plenty of action and adventure, two lead characters both who are innocent of the crimes they were found guilty of. The characters are fantastic, unique, full of personality and have great chemistry which really brings tge story to life with all the prison action, romance, escape adventure and the happy ever after. Looking forward to more books from the amazing author Cara Wylde.

This was such an easy book to read. It was sweet and spicy, at times harsh and unbending. But this was because the story carried most human emotions. Just as the characters are strong, believable types. It just happens they have a wolf side. The plot is entrancing, a supernatural prison where fated soul mates who are innocent of the crimes they are incarcerated for. Yup you better believe it. Bad guys whom are not in the least bit human!! You’ve got to love a little sweet and spicy when things get bumpy and you need a smile or a virtual hug!
I was hesitant about this book to begin with because to me, omegaverse and shifter romance are two different things. I’ve yet to see shifters live up to what I expect from omegaverse, and that held true for this book. There wasn’t anything wrong with the writing. Few typos or anything like that, but the story was confusing and anticlimactic. There was too much going on with the shifters, dynamics, prison, magic... I found myself skimming through half the story just to get to the end. Not a bad story I guess, but not for me.
Gotta love it when you come across a omegaverse like this. Actual shifters, real alphas and how you imagine they would be. It’s a shame it wasn’t a big read as the story was good and had everything you could imagine in a rogue wolves prison.
Some of the sentences need redoing as it’s either a spelling mistake or wrong word. And a few cringey sentences that didn’t work for me. But all in all I think this book deserved the 5 stars. We need more stories like this. Highly recommend
Angela Ash is sentenced to life in prison for the death of her future mate, Dwayne. Killian Wolfsbane is in prison for the death of his father. Did either if them actually commit their crimes?? Angela makes friends with her cell mate, while trying to keep out of trouble. Angela is super sweet and so innocent. Killian is a true Alpha through and through, even in prison he has made a new pack of loyal members. I really enjoyed reading this one.
Interesting. In most of the shifter stories, no one is sent to prison when one shifter kills another. They might be banished, but rarely are they imprisoned, because of the feral nature of a shifter. But this story challenged that concept; that shifters shouldn't be exempted from the repercussion of killing another.

This is pretty bad. The writing is amateurish. It's like a teenager trying their hand at writing a story. The plot is rushed, and the romance is heavily forced. There are a lot of random forced plot points.
This is just pretty terrible. I would give it 1 star out of 5, and that's only because it has no major grammatical problems... Which honest, given the content, I was expecting it to.
This was an amazing read, that from the moment that I started reading I could not put down.. The characters are amazing and are so real that you feel as though you know them personally. You want to see them succeed, no matter what they have to do. This book needs to be read and once you do you will be hooked on this amazing author. This needs to be on your TBR list.
This is an incredible read by two outstanding authors. The plot is captivating and exciting. Characters have sizzling chemistry and amazing dialogue and chemistry. The storyline is packed with drama, danger and suspense. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from these two authors.

This was a quick sweet story where the female lead has everything taken from her, family, pack, and connection to the Goddess. Sentenced to live her life alone she must face the horrors of prison which makes her face danger at every turn. The characters are well-developed and show growth through their story.
Rogue Wolves Prison by author Cara Wylde. Intriguing and intense tale of secrets and misdeeds. Betrayal is thick inside these prison walls. Yet the characters get a glimpse of destiny, it’s theirs if they want it. Enjoy!!
