What a sweet and kinky surprise this book was!!

I was going to skip it and go directly to the third, but boy, am I glad I didn't.

It was hot, fast paced and well executed. The middle got a bit dramatic and repetitive, as the hero, Colton, went through some soul searching, and the heroine, Marina, worked on issues of her own... But if you are able to ignore it and just enjoy the ride, you will be rewarded with kinky steam and sweet devotion.

Not even the insta-love bothered me, it kind of felt like both of them have been unconsciously waiting to meet each other; so when they did, everything just clicked. Funny how these wolves and their possessiveness work in this series. I won't say much, maybe figure it out for yourself if you are curious, but I'm really enjoying all the dramatics and slight overthetop-ness.

So as soon as I put Rough down I immediately ran off to Amazon and one clicked Wild. Then promptly shut myself away from the family for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This book had all the yummy shifter insta love, forever mates stuff I was looking forward to. It follows on directly from the end of Audrey and Boyds story. And picks up the arrival of Boyd's brother, Colton and Audrey's sister, Marina for the wedding of Colton and Audrey.

While the book was focused soley on Marina and Colton and could be read as a standalone, I guess, it also advanced on the previous book perfectly. There was a little more relationship drama in this one. But it was all simple misunderstandings based on the speed things progressed.

I really am loving this series and obviously I am off to one click Feral.

such a cute and hot read 😌 its been quite a while since i last read shifter romance, i remember those times when i first started reading shifter romance from Wattpad 🙈 this was a light and steamy read!

Marina and Colton's connection were instant and Colton knew that he'd found his mate. there's some drama in the middle before we get their ending. though there were moments where both of them were definitely overthinking, i believed that Colton was mainly worried that their mating would destroy Marina's future plans especially since she's still a college student, while he's already in his 30s.

from a one night stand all the way to their HEA, it's seriously a wild ride. 4 stars!!

A dedicated military man finds his mate in his young and tempting, soon-to-be sister-in-law...

I think this was my first venture into daddy kink, and I have to say I didn't hate it. The sex scenes were so steamy and kinky and hot and definitely had me blushing, but I didn't love this one as much as book one. I just feel like Colton and Marina spent too much time in their heads fighting what they wanted and NOT communicating. Colton is in the Green Berets and is on leave for his brother's wedding. He's been in the Army for over ten years and has become restless and distracted since his latest deployment. Marina is Audrey's younger half-sister who's also in town for the wedding.

They meet on the way to Wolf Ranch and end up sequestered together in a motel room after a storm floods the road, making it impassable. They each feel the attraction of the mate bond immediately, but Colton convinces himself that Marina is too young for a lifelong commitment and decides to hold off on mating her for a year until she finishes college. And it's his decision to keep her at arm's length that has Marina confused with the mixed signals he's giving off, unable to stay away from her but determined not to suffocate her. I wished there had been more action and less internal dialogue in this one to move the story along, but overall it was a steamy and sweet read about a protective alpha finding and accepting his sunshine mate.

A really good easy read. I am thoroughly enjoying the whole shifter thing at the moment. I was mildly disappointed that we were teased with a little Daddy kink that never materialised but overall, it was a fun read and just what I wanted.

The Wolf Brothers are back!! This one is Colton’s book. He’s the one who’s a Green Beret in the military. To be honest, I wasn’t aware that his love interest will be Audrey’s half-sister, Marina. We met Audrey in the first book; she’s Boyd’s mate.

Colton is back at his hometown because of his brother’s wedding. He took a leave since he’s been distracted lately. He’s been in the military for 12 years now, but the moon madness is getting to him. While driving to his family’s ranch he sees a woman at the side of the road, while there’s a storm going on, so he offers to help her. Marina didn’t anticipate meeting her sister’s brother-in-law at the side of the road. He doesn’t know who she is though. One night together is what they agree on at first, but Colton wants more. Imagine his surprise the next morning when he finds her gone and then finding her at the ranch.

I really liked Colton and Marina’s story!! Colton wasn’t the brother I wanted to see first, but he became a favorite. It looks like their ranch neighbor, Jett Markle, is still stirring trouble for them, so I’m curious to see how this will turn out. I’m looking forward to Rob’s story!! I’m so excited to see this Alpha brought to his knees by his mate!!

Segundo libro de la serie Rancho Wolf. ¿Sigo aquí? Sí, no me escondo.

En esta ocasión los protagonistas son los hermanos de la pareja anterior, Marina y Colton, los cuales acuden al rancho para celebrar la boda de sus hermanos, pero antes de llegar al rancho se encuentran con una tormenta, él se da cuenta que ella es su compañera, ella le pica el gusanito y pasan la noche en un motel sin que él sepa que es la hermana pequeña de la mujer de su hermano (pero al revés sí).

¿Mamarracheo? Mucho, pero es que hay tanto que me he acabado enganchando, historia en sí bueno, tiene pero no es profunda, pero es que te enganchan. Sigo sin saber como lo han hecho las autoras, pero me tienen aquí, fiel a las historias de vaqueros que son hombres lobo.

This was book 2 in the "Wolf Ranch" series. Colton Wolf has dedicated his life to being a soldier a Sergeant Major in the Green Berets protecting his country and his fellow soldiers with the enhanced abilities that come with being a shifter. Things are changing and he has some big decisions to make. A trip home for his brother's wedding seems like a good time to think about everything. Until a rain storm happens and messes up the plan. This book was hotter than the first one. Marina Thompson is excited to out of LA and heading to her sister's new home on a ranch in Montana. Happy that Audrey found love. Stranded on the side of the road she meets Colton Wolf. The very hot older brother to her sister's soon to be husband. These two had some hot chemistry. After hooking up she runs but Marina doesn't realize is that Colton is her mate. This was a pretty good book that I listened to on audio. I loved the narrator.

Wild by Renee Rose & Vanessa Vale is book 2 in the Wolf Ranch series. This is Marina and Colton's story.
Marina is the younger sister of Audrey from book 1 Rough and her blossoming romance with Colton, who is the older brother of Boyd- who we met also in Rough.
Colton and Marina had this immediate connection. Colton knew Marina was his mate and that's all he needed to pursue her was the fact she was " his mate". What was a one night anonymous hot love affair turned into this amazing, intense, fun, romantic and hot PNR read. Marina is young, cheeky and beautiful. Colton is intense, handsome and dominant. Put these two together and watch fireworks go off. The story has several twists and the chemistry between them is amazing. I liked the plot, the feels and the kink. I can't wait for book 3.

She has a one night with her new brother in law's brother. Leaves him without telling him who she is. And then arrives at the ranch to bake a wedding cake. While she hasn't showered... She didn't shower after having sex, didn't want a shower when she arrived cause "she was late" and going to bake a cake now... Ew. Gross.

This is Book 2 of the Wolf Ranch series by Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale. I'm a big Vanessa Vale fan, and because of this series, I might just become a Renee Rose fan, too. The world-building in this series is an intriguing various of the therian story line without feeling too formulaic, much to my relief. Yes, it's that instant, True Mate template, but considering the others of its ilk I've read, I'd rather reread the Wolf Ranch series all over again.

Marina is the half-sister of Audrey (whom we meet in Book 1) who has traveled to Montana to participate in the physician's wedding to a completely unknown rodeo champion in a whirlwind romance/engagement. We have yet another disappointed-in-men-in-general female who finds herself waylaid by Mother Nature in a torrential downpour that floods out the only road to the ranch. She spends a wild night with her soon-to-be brother-in-law at a local motel, only to never tell him who she is lest he has a code against boinking his future sister-in-law. (How's that for a change!) Her subterfuge is easily revealed to the rest at the ranch when she arrives as they all have incredible noses and sniffs out Colton's personal scent all over her before the guy even enters the scene and discovers the truth for himself.

Can you say "awkward"?

Of course, Marina doesn't know anything about shifters and such because no one can tell her about them. Colton is almost ten years older than her and is caught up in the angst of "she's so young and hasn't had a chance to experience life..." After all, she has yet to finish her college degree in mechanical engineering. He can't interfere with that. Forget it that it might be next to impossible to continue life as HE knows it because he is becoming more and more affected by moon madness. To not claim her immediately could spell his own descent into insanity. Okay, he wants to be a good future mate to Marina except... has anyone even thought about asking Marina how she feels about the entire situation? I guess that would spoil the story, you know? But don't worry. The story does conclude with an HEA with all its usual disclaimers.

Main characters: Marina and Colton do not disappoint. I found it very easy to be very sympathetic in their direction early on. Probably because we progress a little more quickly in the story line, taking major jumps over the usual plot line hurdles and concentrating on what little pages left to expand on their complicated relationship. My only problem is with Colton. Sure, he's a big alpha male on leave from the military, wondering if he should re-up for yet another tour of duty. His hesitancy? Moon madness. He can rarely shift and run while in the military, and as he is already middle-aged and without a mate, he's a prime candidate for moon madness, putting those beneath him at harm's way. After all, he has yet to mate, and his brain is already becoming more and more feral. Oh, he can certainly leave and work on the ranch, but it doesn't solve the mateship problem... But then he runs into Marina while she's contemplating what to do as she stares at a swollen river that's blocking her way to the Wolf Ranch. The awkward human takes his breath away, and in less than two hours, both are playing dominance/submission games, delighting both. Colton is blown away by someone who might be able to handle his need to be extremely alpha with a heavy hand on the buttocks. Marina discovers she really likes her men very dominant and her buttocks well-marked by firm swats. Only she knows who he is, but he has no clue that she's Audrey's half-sister. After all, Marina had decided to have a fling. One very, desirable fling with a delicious alpha dude, and done is done while she goes on with her life, really wondering if she wants to be a mechanical engineer just because her father (who's more out of her life than in it) is one. Of course, the studio audience knows she should use her talents as a baker and go into the bakery business because she can really kick ass when it comes to cake. Amazing how Rose and Vale could fit all this fun in the less-than-two-hundred-page count. It's not that easily done.

As for the quality of writing, perhaps two different sets of brain cells are definitely better than just one. I found the editing process to be more advanced here but not entirely free of the usual errors. It could have done for yet another read-through to pick up on stupid little errors that often fraught the final manuscript version because the cerebrum does get tired and often misses some of the most basic of errors. At least it didn't pull me out of my suspension of disbelief. I hate it when that happens. I do appreciate the continued expositional details continued from Book One rather than assume that everyone remembers what happened in the previous read. I appreciate that we continue to see Audrey and Boyd in this book, especially since Audrey and Marina are very close. I would had liked to have seen more of Boyd than we do. I love seeing Rob, the alpha of the family. Of course, Book Three will be about him and more of the moon madness. (Poor pup!) This series definitely does not stand on its own when it comes to the individual novels. Nope! Gotta read them in order! Nothing's free-standing here!

When it comes to balance... well, I think these two might have just barely crossed the line. Not that every sex scene was gratuitous, but a few of them came dangerous close to pushing the bar. I really hate just skimming through sex scenes because I'm getting bored with them. I want the sex scenes to add to the storyline, not just be there as a "fapping" material. (That's "masturbation" to those who don't read manga.) It does do a decent job in representing a more tame BDSM because it does examine the needs of the dom and the sub and does more than just some slap and tickle. Not ideal but definitely better. I only wished there was further exploration of Colton's BDSM nature because it was really ready to burst out... but failed. I also wished Colton's dom side and Marina's budding sub side could have not been so rushed. I'm not saying the overall exposition was missing huge holes. I'm just saying it could have been better.

And what about our villain Jett? Just a mere mention of his cattle being on the wrong property, that's all. Poopy! I did some exploration and discovered a freebie epilogue at Vanessa Vale's website (vanessavaleauthor dot com) for that as well as for Rough. Both are cute. Kind of wished she could have just tacked it on the end of the book... I've seen two epilogues done.

Would I read this book again. Most definitely! Probably even more so than Rough. Would I go out and buy it? Absolutely! And though it's not out yet, I would also purchase Feral which is all about Alpha Rob Wolf and Natalie Shefield, owner of an adjoining property Jett Markle is lusting after. Guess who's gonna cock-block that purchase!

He have been all over the world,.and he just found his mate on the side of the road, in a rain storm, not far from his home town. She is young, beautiful and human.

Marina has the best night her life, but come.morning doubts sent in and she runs. When Colton catches up and learns the truth. He makes her pay.
His little girl is young in years and life experiences and he doesn't want to take anything away from her. He steels himself to wait. He doesn't explain and Marina misunderstands. She learns the truth. Then he breaks her heart. Colton is determined to win her back.

Colton is at a crossroads in his life as he has been in the military for more than a decade but being unable to find his mate is affecting his life and his career. He has come to town for his brother’s wedding when he rescues a woman from a storm and he knows that she is the woman he has been waiting for but she is gone before he wakes up the next morning.

Marina is the bride’s sister so even though she left she knows that it will not be the last time she sees him. She is attending college and trying to decide what direction she wants her future to take but her past has shown that when it comes to men her judgment seems to be off.

When Colton is conflicted between his wolf side wanting to claim her and the man in him wanting to give her the time to finish college and ensure that he is what she wants what will he choose?
The chemistry between them radiates off the pages and it was fun to catch up with the other characters we know and love.

This is not a bad book by ANY means. I really enjoy the co-authors writing however I could not deal with the pet name the MMC gave the FMC. He called her 'little girl' and 'sweetness'. If it had only been a few times but he used it constantly and the little girl gave me the absolutely ick. And if that doesn't bother you then I am sure you will enjoy this one but it's a no for me.

I also had a tough time with the MMC waffling back and forth so much. In one sentence he was giving up on her and in the next he was never letting her go over and over and over again. I love a little push a pull but this gave me whiplash.

Now for the positive besides the cringey pet name he gave her the spice was spicing early and often. I'm excited for the next book though and will continue this series despite not vibing with this particular book.

I was very excited to see thiss book come out, since I was pretty sure that I knew that at least part of the couple would be Marina, and I was so right.

I like Marina. I think that she is just a joyful person. She seems to bring a lot of light to all the people around her, and is just so happy. It doesn't mean that she isn't ever sad or doesn't have any problems, because she does, but she is just happy in general.

I think that Colton has a good heart. He cares for his family and for his the men he was in the military with. He just wants to make sure that everyone is taken care of.

I can't wait for the next one.

A chance meeting leads Colton to find his mate, only to fond out she is a human and still in college. Colton only hopes he can give Marina time to have a life before the moon sickness takes him. I liked that the age gap didn't assume Marina was annoyingly stupid just because she was young. Great chemistry and all the growly "Mine" action from a good shifter romance.
