A gentlewoman afraid for her life. A Scottish warrior who’d die for her. A love that overcomes all odds.

Having fled her childhood home, noblewoman Sarah Paine has one thought when she barges into Gregor McTavish’s office… Escaping the blackguards chasing her. She never expected the brawny Highlander to endanger his life to help her, or that his gallantry and kindness would earn her trust and eventually win her heart. Neither could she anticipate the impossible choice she’d have to make…Her love for Gregor or her brother’s safety.

When Gregor left Scotland to start a new life in England, he gave up his dream of becoming a doctor. A year later, bored and no closer to finding the contentment he sought, he reluctantly decides to return home. Until a desperate, bonnie lass interrupts his plans. He convinces Sarah to trust him and accept his protection, but what was meant as a distraction becomes something much more meaningful, and he doesn’t ever want to let her go.

For the first time in his life, Gregor anticipates celebrating Christmas, but the madman pursuing Sarah casts a shadow over the holiday. Can the Yuletide work its magic, allowing Gregor to apprehend the fiend and at last bring him and Sarah the love and peace they desperately seek?

A sweet story of meeting the right person at the right time.

Gregor finds his life lack of excitement until a young woman, Sarah barges in his offices seeking help masquerading as a lad.
Sure, there were vilains, but the story focuses on the growing feelings between the main characters. How they become the breath of fresh air for the other.
There are few conflicts only a charming Yuletide spirit all along the tale with plenty of willing angels disguised as kind peers in a mission to bring them together.
I will add the epilogue was perfect to cheer your mind.

Loved, loved, loved this story! A brawny Scot named Gregor, who has an orange and white tabby he rescued and named Cat (sorry I have to mention the wonderful "friends" she always adds to the stories!) help a lass hide while some rough pieces of shite were trying to nab her. Thus, Gregor meets Sarah Paine and her brother Kipp, who have been on the run for a few years hiding from the villain who had murdered her father. He takes them in and cares for them. Can I just say again I loved this story? Collette also writes exactly what my heart is looking for!! This was part of the Winter Wishes Anthology

Gregor McTavish has left his dream of becoming a doctor behind and is working in his office at Stapleton Shipping while he decides what he really wants to do with his life. Sarah Paine and her brother Kip are running from the man who killed their father and stole his ship. Gregor decides to help the pair. In order to do so, he must help them elude the man chasing them, try to see the criminal caught, locate a missing mother and the family’s valuables. He enlists the aid of friends and family nearby, who are more than happy to help. Of course, at the same time they are caught up in this excitement, Gregor and Sarah begin to take notice of one another. Can they possibly find time to fall in love in the middle of the chaos? Miracles have been known to happen during Yuletide. Gregor is in for a lot of surprises. I love Gregor. He is kind, caring, intelligent and thoughtful, and protective of Sarah and Kip. Sarah is a great match for him. She is intelligent, devoted to family, brave, and caring. I love this delightful holiday story with a very merry ending.

Gregor McTavish is a handsome, kind and loyal Scot who has given up on his dream to become a doctor and is now working at Stapleton Shipping in London while he tries to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Sarah Paine and her younger brother have been scraping out a living for the last three years in London because they are being pursued by the man who killed their father and stole his ship. When Sarah comes bursting into Gregor's office, he takes it upon himself to help and protect them plus elude the villain and attempt to get the criminal apprehended. He has family and friends that help him and during all the drama, Gregor and Sarah begin to have feelings emerge. How can they find love when there is so much danger around them - well, it's the magic of Yuletide. Gregor and Sarah are such a great couple, and I loved this wonderful, heartwarming holiday story with its HEA!

A Yuletide Highlander is a Scottish Christmas novella in “Winter Wishes - a Regency Holiday Romance Anthology.” Also known as the seventh story in the Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series. Set in London, England, 1826, the story begins on the East India Docks. It has a very satisfying Epilogue many years later in 1830.

4- stars

Sarah Paine and her young brother fled their childhood home years ago when the crew of her father’s ship mutinied and killed her father.

Gregor Lieth Conall McTavish of Craiglocky Keep, left Scotland to start a new life in England, giving up on his dream to become a doctor. Now managing the offices at his cousin’s shipping yard, Gregor is startled to find a disheveled person enter his office in haste.

Gregor and Sarah’s relationship was a nice slow burn. This is not an erotic novella but a sweet one.

I recommend this for a good Christmas read.

Gregor McTavish is working & surprised when a youth dashes in. He sees that something is wrong & when three ruffians arrive he hides Sidney under his desk. Only Sidney isn’t a he at all but Sarah Paine who has been scraping by for three years in London along with her younger brother Christopher after fleeing Jamaica.
Oh Gregor! I loved everything about him - absolutely irresistible! Sarah is just as lovely, strong, independent & loving, she willingly accepts Gregor's help. Gregor calls on his relations & friends to help. A wonderful read, we caught up with some characters from earlier books. The pace never falters & the final chapter is heart wrenching but in a good way as all ends are tied up

This is Gregor McTavish's story. The book started off well, and I was happy to finally get to see what happened to Gregor.

I did enjoy this story, but I wish it had been longer. It was just a little too short and rushed. I was also disappointed that we were not in Scotland this time around. Gregor seemed a little out of place away from his home and family. I missed the warmth of the earlier books with his family around.

I read this story as part of the anthology 'Winter Wishes ' which I enjoyed.
This is a lovely Christmas romance between Gregor and Sarah. Yes there are baddies, but it's mainly a sweet romance with a hea.
As usual with Collette Cameron's books, this is well written with great characters.
The epilogue makes for a great ending.

Wonderful end to the series

Gregory had always been a favorite in the series and happy he was able to find love. Sarah and her brother Christopher stumbled upon Gregory and with his assistance were able to survive and solve the mystery of what happened in their lives. Great Christmas season story.

Gregory and Sarah

They met while she was escaping Santano and he protected her and her brother Chris. He always showered her with surprises. They built an orphanage and hospital together. They have two sons . They reunited her with her mother and grandmother and now they are a complete family.

The Endangered Lady and The Misplaced Highlander!

I borrowed this great historical romance on kindle unlimited. I always enjoy Collette Cameron’s sweet clean romances, but I think this is one of my favorites. The characters stepped off the pages right into my heart. My only complaint, I’d have liked more input on the issues with Santano.

Loved this story!

I was very surprised that I had missed the last book in this series, and the story of Sarah and Gregor was absolutely wonderful! There were evil enemies and servants with ulterior motives, a touching reunion with a grandmother who did not even know Sarah existed, and an absolutely wonderful epilogue with an HEA for everyone!

A wonderful penultimate book in the series

This is a wonderfully written penultimate book in this great series. All the characters are amazingly crafted, and this steamy in the end plot, is full of suspense and intrigue.
