Life at Nakiska Ski Area resembles a TV show. There are young, quirky heroes, dramatic scenery, majestic mountains, epic ski runs and highly charged emotions ...
Terez has recently finished her biochemistry studies and resigned from her job. Competing at the Olympics has always been a long held dream of hers. And in Canada, on a snowboard, it could come true!
A humorous story inspired by the author’s own experiences, demonstrating that even if life goes downhill, make sure it’s worth it!
A fun, easy, light read which I flew through quickly! Reminded me of living overseas in my late teens and how I used to describe all my overseas friends to my friends back home using their country of origin as a descriptor. My awesome Panamanian friend, my kooky Costa Rican friend, etc :). Great to revisit my late teens/early twenties in this Canadian adventure.
A fun and lighthearted look at some of the ups and downs of life – including love, friendship and our dreams – all told through the witty observations and experiences of a young adult outside of her comfort zone.
I read the book twice! The author painted a marvelous scene, very interesting group of young people and wonderful life experience. It's funny and heart moving. I look forward to more books written by such a talented writer.
