This is another favorite of mine, from 1998 or so. It's all about creating a home that fosters well-being. It's well-organized and easy to read.

This is a great resource for anyone seeking ideas on creating a comfortable and healthy home that feels good and looks beautifully natural.

Re-read, September 2, 2014:

This is very much a feng shui book. However, it contains many takeaways it for those who don't buy into feng shui 100%, like myself.

Perusing this book is inspiring and calming. It's 26 years old, and it's still a lovely book filled with great tips.

If you're looking for a book on how to design and create a calm, healthy home, this is one of the books to guide you.
