Nach einigen missglückten Beziehungen mit Frauen beschleicht Akashi das Gefühl, dass er vielleicht doch auf Männer steht. Als er zufällig erfährt, dass sein gut aussehender Kommilitone Yagi angeblich schwul sei, spricht er ihn aus Neugier direkt an. Was er nicht erwartet hat: Yagi begrüßt ihn mit einem innigen Kuss! Yagi-san es gay y todo el mundo en la universidad lo sabe porque hace años un chico esparció rumores sobre él. Yagi Tomohiro solo se acuesta con chicos que no puedan inmiscuirse en su vida, pero cuando Noburo le confiesa que tiene dudas sobre su sexualidad decide darle esa experiencia.
Noburo solo había salido con chicas pero jamás se había enamorado de una. Cuando se convierte en el compañero sexual de Yagi no tarda en enamorarse de él y en sentir que le duele estar a su lado. Más aún cuando comprende que su amor no es correspondido.

Este es el primer tomo que he leído de Muno. La verdad es que tenía montones de ganas de descubrir a esta mangaka. Quería enamorarme. Porque esa portada es preciosa y porque me encantaba la sinopsis original que leí (era divertida).
La realidad es que este manga me ha gustado pero también me ha decepcionado mucho. Básicamente porque no me gustan los amores no correspondidos (aunque acaben felizmente) y porque los sexfriends solo me emocionan desde otro enfoque (desde este enfoque realista no).
Es una historia sencilla, agridulce, que mezcla el dolor y la ternura, la sexualidad recién descubierta y el rechazo de sentir que necesitas el vínculo pero que no existe.
Yagi no me gustó. Es un chico que como le han herido solo busca sexo y realmente no implica su corazón en las cosas que hace, eso incluye cada vez que se acuesta con Noburo. Él no se implica para nada con el otro chico, principalmente porque le gusta otro (pero de eso no ha avisado a Noburo).
Noburo es un niño muy tierno que me gusta y según avanza la historia me daba penita que Yagi solo le viera como un tío al que está entrenando y después como un tío que solo sirve para darle orgasmos. Yo quería que el primer chico de Noburo le quisiera como se merecía.
Ambos no son una pareja obviamente. Uno quiere y el otro no se da cuenta y solo se deja querer. Aún así, alcanzan su final feliz pero no me convenció porque fue como "Noburo, eres el segundo plato".
Las ilustraciones son monas aunque muy normalitas y a pesar de ser folla-amigos las escenas de sexo no son explícitas.

This is too much for my heart! I felt satisfied with how Muno portrayed gay relationship here. It is not about the positions that fill in the role of who is dominant in the relationship, that's why it is a homo relationship in the first place. (I'm not saying that this is how it works in straight ones okay, enough with the patriarchy, ya know what I mean) And I love the transition of physical love to an actual commitment. They are so cute together!
P.S. I love how Muno portrayed the ideal, loyal and pure friendship here! Noboru's friends never made fun of him being gay and were never disgusted to experiment to help him identify himself. I love that they are open to each other. And Noboru never once hesitated in outing himself to them. And, Nomura is cuuuute! I want more of him huhu. I felt happy that he was actually aware, and was never disgusted with Tomo after the confession.

Manga BL de tomo único con ilustraciones muy bonitas. Una historia sencilla sobre un chico que no tiene clara su sexualidad y su primera experiencia con otro que, por causa del pasado, solo desea una relación sin compromiso.

Aufmachung
Der Zeichenstil ist skizzenhaft und die Charaktere sowie deren Kleidung sind recht einfach gehalten. Die vorhandenen Hintergründe sind klar aber ebenfalls einfach dargestellt. Mir persönlich sehen die Charaktere zu jung aus, dafür, dass sie bereits Studenten sind.
Was den Erzählstil betrifft, so bin ich davon angetan, da er ein nachvollziehbares Tempo und Setting hat.
Charaktere
Akashi vermutet schwul zu sein und stürzt sich todesmutig in ein Experiment. Er ist sehr aufrichtig und ziemlich emotional.
Yagi lässt niemanden an sich heran und macht aus allem ein Geheimnis, was mit einem Trauma aus Oberschulzeiten zusammenhängt.
Fazit
Die Storyline kann ich super nachempfinden. Es gibt neben mir sicher viele, die ähnliche Abläufe kennen/durchgemacht haben. Was mir gut gefällt ist, dass, obwohl die Affäre im Fokus steht, der Bettsport nicht stumpf überhand nimmt, sondern eher die Emotionen die durch die Situation entstehen, betrachtet werden.
Ich finde zwar, dass der Band recht dünn ist und man da auch das ein oder andere (zum Beispiel Yagis Gefühls- und Gedankenwelt) hätte ausbauen können, aber der vorhandenen Platz wirklich gut genutzt wurde.
Für alle, die Kanna Kiis Werke mögen, könnte das was sein. Denn Zeichen- und Erzählstiltechnisch geht das in eine ähnliche Richtung.

Boys after Dark ist ein sehr schöner Manga. Einer der Besten, die ich dieses Jahr gelesen habe. Die Storyline ist angenehm. Es wird nicht mit allen Mitteln versucht eine Beziehung einzubauen. Die Entwicklung der Beziehung fühlt sich natürlich und echt an.
Ich hatte zwischendurch Tränen in den Augen, weil ich so mitgerissen war.
Zudem finde ich das Cover wirklich schön.

Estuvo tierno, aunque en varios momentos si me dolió un poquito por Akashi! Al pobre le tocó duro en su primera relación para descubrir su sexualidad. A Yagi lo entiendo, no es fácil abrirse cuando te han herido, pero siento que Akashi si le ayudo y por esto pudo superar el crush que tenía por su amigo, el cual nunca iba a terminar en nada. Y no siento que eso sea escoger a Akashi porque es quien si te va a corresponder, ya que Yagi había tenido ya múltiples parejas sexuales pero con ninguna quiso nada más allá de sexo. Esto creo que demuestra que a veces las personas llegan en el momento indicado a nuestras vidas.

Me encanto, amo estas historias que son muy soft donde podemos ver el desarrollo en la relación de los protagonistas y en serio esperas que sean muy felices
Noboru tiene dudas sobre sus preferencias y no sabe cómo despejarlas hasta que un amigo le dice que le pregunte a Yagi, un excompañero del cual circulaban ciertos rumores y quizás lo podrá ayudar.
Noboru decide hablar con Yagi pero este lo confunde con alguien más, y cuando al final aclaran el malentendido las circunstancias los llevan a comenzar una relación inesperada que puede que los lleve a un final feliz...o quizás no.
Noboru tiene dudas sobre sus preferencias y no sabe cómo despejarlas hasta que un amigo le dice que le pregunte a Yagi, un excompañero del cual circulaban ciertos rumores y quizás lo podrá ayudar.

All night long es un manga de un tomo único en el que el protagonista, Akashi Noburo, duda de su sexualidad y sus amigos le aconsejan que pruebe a acostarse con un chico para saber si es gay.
La historia me ha gustado, es corta y en algún momento las cosas van rápido, pero tampoco creo que de para más. Los personajes son muy cuquis, Akashi es lo más adorable del mundo y me da mucha pena ese sentimiento de inferioridad que tiene. Yagi en cambio se muestra siempre distante emocionalmente, a causa de un trauma del pasado se niega a abrirse. Y no quiero dejar pasar a los amigos de Akashi, son un poco brutos pero aceptan a su amigo sin reservas.
Y por último quiero destacar el estilo de dibujo, es lo que me ha animado principalmente a comprar el manga. Ha sido amor a primera vista.
Si queréis leer un BL cortito para este verano os lo recomiendo.

Qué cosa preciosa acabo de leer 💖
Es una historia un poco más madura y adulta de lo que suelo leer, pero no dejó de ser tierna y tener sus toques de humor por sobre el drama que se planteaba en cuanto a los sentimientos de los personajes.
Conocer a Muno como artista ha sido toda una revelación, por supuesto que ya estoy viendo qué otros títulos leer de su autoría porque All Night Long lo amé ✨

I like a bit not that usual of an ending as most have. And I like that even when they were awkward, unsocial and misunderstood each other some, they still managed to be adorable fellas. Oh and all the crying. Not gonna specify.

La verdad que lo que plantea la historia está bien, pero ha resultado ser más bien mediocre. Creo que es porque los acontecimientos pasan demasiado rápido y no da tiempo a la historia a desarrollarse adecuadamente. Quiero decir tiene principio y final pero el nudo de la historia se siente con agujeros y así tampoco da tiempo al lector a entender a los personajes.
El dibujo es el mítico bonito de este tipo de mangas, que a mi me gusta mucho. Por esa parte no hay ningún problema.
Y es que si hubiese tenido 50 páginas más y un poco de contenido extra creo que mi opinión habría sido diferente.
También, a parte de lo anterior, el final abrupto y predecible me hizo desinflarme un poquito. El protagonista me gusta, el solo quiere saber qué es lo que es y a quién puede amar, y se ve enredado en esa relación confundido, pero el roce con el otro personaje principal que lo hace querer más. Y el segundo protagonista ha estado escondido con sus sentimientos por años y por eso es tan arisco, pero demasiado y sin sentido al principio de la historia, por eso me pareció más un maleducado que cualquier otra cosa.
No creo que pueda recomendar esta historia tanto como otros tomos únicos que he leído, por lo dicho antes, me falta desarrollo en la historia.

Esta es la tercera vez que lo leo y la primera de la mano de Milky Way... Amo la portada, que es la original en japonés... Y bueno, esta historia tiene ese no se qué, qué qué se yo que me encanta y siempre lo he recomendado.
Es una historia muy simple, con un ritmo rápido y sin giros de trama inesperados. Una lectura fácil y sencilla, para pasar un buen rato 💕.

La verdad es que me lo esperaba diferente y no, no me ha gustado. Creía que su relación se basaría en algo más profundo y no tan banal como la situación que se plantea en un principio.

I liked this a lot, and I wish it had an official English translation. I was browsing through some other manga, ran across this in the "you might also like" list, and found the online translation while trying to see if there were any copies I could actually buy. Unfortunately no, but I wound up reading the whole thing online anyway, and tearing up through a fair amount of it.
Some parts could be fleshed out a little better, although I think that could also just be some flaws in translation. There's a pretty decent emotional arc for both characters, even though it's a fairly short one-shot.
Noboru announces, pretty abruptly, to his two best guy friends that he thinks he might be gay, because he just can't ever seem to get interested in girls. His friends roll with it, make a few good-hearted jokes that show it doesn't weird them out at all, point out the gay guy in class, and encourage him to give it a try. So Noboru does, possibly to his own surprise.
When he calls out to Yagi after class, Yagi mistakes him for the grindr-style date he'd been busy setting up in class instead of listening to the university lecture, and kisses him. Once that misunderstanding's cleared up, Noboru awkwardly introduces the idea of hooking up with Yagi to see if he's gay. Yagi takes a little bit of offense to that, but not too much, since he's really not a stranger to one-night stands, and Noboru is clearly a nice guy. So they start up a sex friends arrangement with no feelings involved.
You can guess how well that goes.
Noboru confirms very quickly that yes, he's extremely gay, and it doesn't take long before he starts falling in love with Yagi. Their time together gets more and more painful, because it's obvious to him that Yagi doesn't love him back, and they can never be anything more than casual - and he gets harsh reminders that Yagi is probably still meeting up with other guys, too, since theirs was never an exclusive arrangement.
Then it gets worse, because it's not just other casual hookups, he realizes that Yagi is most likely in love with his best friend, a guy who seeks Noboru out when Yagi falls off the grid for a few days.
Noboru confronts Yagi, confesses his feelings, and asks if Yagi is in love with his friend. Although Yagi denies it, he's not very convincing, and Noboru is shattered further.
Things get wrapped up neatly by the end, of course, and there's a certain amount of nice realism in the fact that these two weren't some sort of pure love at first sight deal. Emotions are complicated and can get all tangled up, and it just takes some patience and good communication to start sorting through all that together.
I liked seeing a little glimpse of Yagi's backstory from his point of view, and the rejection that he faced early on, which colored his later relationships in some pretty severe ways. He didn't have friends who'd just laugh with him and smack him on the back and tell him they were cool with him being gay. He probably didn't think he'd ever have that, so he didn't give his newer friends the chance to prove they were different. And it meant he was holding himself back from ever truly falling in love, too.
I could've definitely read more chapters of these two, but this was an emotions-twisting, ultimately sweet story that I enjoyed quite a bit.

I liked seeing a little glimpse of Yagi's backstory from his point of view, and the rejection that he faced early on, which colored his later relationships in some pretty severe ways. He didn't have friends who'd just laugh with him and smack him on the back and tell him they were cool with him being gay. He probably didn't think he'd ever have that, so he didn't give his newer friends the chance to prove they were different. And it meant he was holding himself back from ever truly falling in love, too.
I could've definitely read more chapters of these two, but this was an emotions-twisting, ultimately sweet story that I enjoyed quite a bit.

Un tomo único con portada de ensueño y con una historia que engancha.
Para ser la primera historia que leo del mangaka, debo decir que me espera algún giro en la trama que me sorprendiese. En mi opinión, ha sido una historia que he disfrutado por su dibujo tan adorable y expresivo y por tener la medida justa de BL y Yaoi.
Los dos protagonistas me han gustado, pero no los he sentido lo suficientemente cercanos para que les cogiese cariño. Esto, como suele pasarme siempre, es porque el tomo se me hace corto y cuando empiezo a encariñarme con ellos ya se ha terminado. Si en un futuro hay una segunda parte, me encantaría leerla.
El desarrollo de la trama se centra en como Akashi se decide a probar si es gay con un chico de su promoción que le parece muy guapo, Yagi. Tras un primer encontronazo algo incómodo, ambos deciden mantener una relación de follamigos que pronto llenará de más preguntas a Akashi.
Akashi y Yagi tienen rasgos que los definen, como que Akashi es más expresivo y habla sobre sus preocupaciones, mientras que Yagi prefiere encerrar en sí mismo todo aquello que le haga parecer débil. Este compartimiento tiene su principio en sus años de preparatoria.
Un detalle, que parece insignificante, es que los amigos de Akashi no se escandalizan cuando les dice que se está planteando su sexualidad. Para mi es un punto a favor porque pienso que los personajes deben ser una figura de ejemplo y normalizarlo.
Como digo, me ha dado pena no poder seguir leyendo más de Akashi y Yagi. Aun que, pensándolo con frialdad, no se me ocurre ningún otro hilo conductor para continuar la historia. Por lo que el manga ha terminado como se esperaba y con un sabor agridulce en el paladar.
En líneas generales, la historia me ha entretenido desde el inicio, manteniendo mi atención sobre los avances de los universitarios que no tienen muy claro como va a terminar esa relación basada en sexo. La única pega que le pongo es que es muy corto, en cuanto a puntos de desarrollo, y que no me ha sorprendido como esperaba en un principio debido a la grandeza de la portada.
Sin embargo, si es un manga que recomendaría a los lectores que están empezado a leer BL y quieren subir un peldaño para empezar con el Yaoi. No es muy explicito, pero si tiene lo justo y necesario para que empezar poco a poco.

Empezare dándole un 4.5 y no le doy los 5 porque acabó muy pronto, la verdad es que me gustó mucho mas de lo que me esperé ya que no tenia muchas expectativas es mas, me esperaba algo mucho mas simple con muchas escenas de sexo irrelevantes pero la verdad es que no, si tiene un trasfondo mucho mas fuerte del que talvez se pueda entender a la primera. Aunque parezca el típico amor no correspondido con final feliz se debe tener en cuenta algo, talvez a lo largo de la lectura no se sienta como la gran cosa algunos sentimientos pero si te pones en los zapatos de cualquiera de los 2 protas todo se vuelve mucho mas emocional ya que en mi caso al hacerlo pude empatizar con ambos no tomando a ninguno como un idiota porque se entendían sus miedos y como repercutida en sus acciones y por esto que cada cosa que sucedía me emocionaba mucho mas, igualmente se que la historia en si no es algo de otro mundo o algo jamás antes visto pero a diferencia de otras historias con temáticas parecidas esta me ha emocionado mucho mas y eso que al ser un manga esta todo comprimido para que entre en menos de 200 paginas y también por esto le doy una calificación tan alta pues me dejo con ganas de que la historia se extendiera no solo agregar continuarla sino extenderla desde el inicio básicamente me dejó con ganas de que se convierta en novela.

this story is about two college students who haven’t ever fallen in love, and struggle in their love life. one of them is discovering that he might be into guys more than girls, and the other lives hiding his love for guys due to school trauma. after a “casual” meeting, both stories will mingle and feelings will start to emerge!
AFTER READING this volume, i believe the author could have written two more volumes to show us their life as a couple (maybe experiencing some romantic relationship struggles or conflicts) since it was their first time dating whilst falling in love.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience and since I am totally delighted by this story, I am interested in reading more of this author’s works🧡
