Descent

He was my worst enemy. My biggest nightmare. My ultimate crush. Maddox is my best friend’s foster brother. He bullied me when I was a teen. Those stinging insults. That stare. I remember it all. I couldn’t forget if I wanted to. He pretended to not care. But I knew that he was hiding how he really felt. About me. About us. The worst part? I may never get a chance to find out.

This Quick Read Is A Prequel To The Descent Series. Broody Maddox Is Easy To Root For. His Sad Past Begs For His Own HEA!

When Maddox returns home to his foster parents during the summer between sophmore and junior year of college, he is shocked to see that his little foster sister Clara has grown up and turned into a brat. He is even more surprised when he finds himself inexplicably attracted to Clara's long time best friend Madison. But at sixteen, she is just a kid, so Maddox busies himself with other girls and his professional plans for after college.

Identical twins Maddox and Axel, along with Declan, their friend from college, make big plans at age twenty to go into business together. Five years later, their business is up and running when Axel, the wild one of the three, takes the other two to a BDSM club. Maddox is surprised when he finds himself drawn to some of the activities. Axel promises both that they will feel quite comfortable after a few drunks.

This quick read is a prequel to the Descent series. The story shows promise. Broody Maddox is easy to root for. His sad past begs for his own HEA! The plot is simple. Maddox 's character is nicely developed given the length and his background is compelling. The story is written in first person. It is in Maddox's POV. I rate this book 3.5 stars.

I really enjoyed this story. I have never read this author before but felt like she did a wonderful job of telling this story. It had a little bit of steam but it didn't start until about the middle of the book, so the reader had built up a little bit of anticipation before getting to it. The story was about a good girl who had a crush forever on a former play boy who could get anyone he choose, but in actuality he had had a crush on her for a long time as well. The story contained a little bit of dirty content as well, which added to my excitement. Also this story was a little taboo because Maddox was Madison's best friend's brother. At the end you can definitely tell there will be another story because Maddox's wild twin is attracted to an innocent new girl at the office. I can't wait to read it.

This is a quick read and is the preview which introduces the characters, how the brothers met Declan and founded their company. It also involves a pink item of swimwear which is referenced in Indecency ;-) Well worth reading first. Well written and enjoyable.

Very well written story. Thoroughly grabbed my attention, only to be disappointed that there were more pages to turn. Can't wait to see more from Remy Kingsley.

This was an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

No fue una mala lectura, aunque los clichés no faltaron. Es un libro que se lee rápido, pero que está muy bien escrito.
Otra historia tóxica y otro enamoramiento instantáneo.

Estuvo meh, pero me entretuvo.
