Her freedom comes with a price—her hand in marriage.
After spending ten years behind bars, Leah is offered early release if she agrees to become an alien mail order bride. Though she’s nervous about the prospect of marrying a complete stranger—a huge Martian, no less—she’s also desperate for freedom. She reluctantly agrees with the parole board’s terms and soon finds herself traveling to Mars, where she meets Jav, the huge muscular alien who will become her husband. She soon realizes he’s not like other Martians—he’s a genetically enhanced warrior, and he cannot help his feral need to claim her over and over again. He seems to harbor a growing affection for her, yet she can’t help but worry—what will he do if he learns of her past?
Jav is beyond pleased with the little human called Leah. She’s everything he has ever hoped for in a mate—charming, kind, and passionate in the bedroom. He senses she’s not telling him the truth about her past, though he’s certain she’ll open up to him as they become better acquainted. As the days pass, his desire for her grows stronger and his heart aches with tenderness whenever he thinks of her. But his newfound happiness is shattered when Leah is accused of a terrible crime. Can he help clear her name and keep her safe, or will he be forced to say goodbye to his sweet human bride forever?
Sue Mercury writes sci-fi romance. She lives in Maryland with her husband and children, where she hopes one day she'll turn on the television to find a breaking news report about sentient alien beings contacting Earth. She also writes romance of the much kinkier variety under the name Sue Lyndon.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a woman that had done something in her past that she was trying to leave in the past. Leah was in prison for her crime and now she was giving a chance to get out but she needs to become a Martian's bride. Leah meets a guard that is nice to her as he takes her to the ship that will take her to Mars. Jav has wanted for years for a bride but keep putting it off until the King made him take time off to do it now. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
Jav really wanted to have his own family. He only remembered being taken out of the orphanage with the offer to become a genetically enhanced warrior. He enrolled in the alien mate program and received the mate from Earth's Zone 12.
Leah was convicted of arson and theft. Serving a twenty-five year sentence. She had been in prison for ten years. She had been convinced by her boyfriend Steven to break into a Martian Affairs building. Two human female clerks were killed in the fire. Steven was sentenced to death. Leah would have the opportunity to have her sentence overturned if she agreed to be an alien mate, and she does.
After the marriage ceremony between her and Jav, she passes out from exhaustion. Her mate didn't know about her criminal record. Also, during the ship trip, the other women refused to talk to her because they knew she was in prison.
Jav takes care of her in every way possible, and the couple spends 5 days straight in bed. On the sixth day, he takes her to the banquet hall. Because of Jav's important position as a Vaa'sharr warrior, he lived in the palace.
Leah is introduced to Esmay (who is pregnant) and Tyra. They share a taste for reading novels.
However, a plot to assassinate King Vaath is uncovered. An Earth woman from Zone 12 would have brought a modified, undetected weapon to the murder. Among the female suspects on the ship, five of them had criminal records, including Leah. Jav felt betrayed that she hadn't told him. When all clues were aimed at Leah, Jav would do anything to defend his mate and uncover the truth in the vile plot. 4 stars
This is my favorite book so far in this highly enjoyable series. I really liked this story. It offered an enticing blend of powerful emotion, sweetness, drama, heart and steam. I adored Jav and Leah. My heart ached for Leah and I found Jav quite swoon worthy. I was fully invested in these two characters getting that HEA they needed and deserved. A definite heart tugging, all the feels read that also leaves you in need of a cool drink to cool off. I am electing to post a candid review.
“Ravenous Alien Mate” is the third book in the “Savage Martians series” and once again I Sue nailed it. I really enjoy reading her books. If you are looking for a thriller or suspense this isn't your cup of tea. If you are looking for a fun energetic romance then this is for you. I really like this series. It's not too complex but just enough. This one is about Jav who is like a super solder. He one of the special elite Vash’arr warriors that carry out the most dangerous missions. He one day hopes for a family but hasn't had the time to get him a human bride. On one of this leaves the King gives him the chance to take bride and he is ecstatic. He will have have the opportunity to have a family, something he didn't have as a child. After spending the last ten years in prison, Leah was happy to get the offer to become a mail order bride. she saw this as her second chance. She made a dumb mistake and now now she can start anew. She only hopes her past doesn't interfere with her future. This was a good read. can't wait to read more of these .
If I'm not mistaken, Jav is orange, not purple (front cover).
I really wish there'd been more interactions and scenes between the two MCs before they 'sealed the deal'. The writing is a bit stilted and ridiculous at times. For instance, "I've mated with you over 100 times over the last 3 days"
Um, yeah. Can you even imagine? For those that don't want to do the calculations, that's OVER 33 times per day. Basically, sex every 45 minutes over a 24 hour period. I've read plenty of romance books with impressively virile fictional men but this takes it to a whole 'nother unbelievable level! I think her hoo-ha would be an inflamed, swollen and painful mass of tissue after day 1 considering how well endowed the H is!
I really enjoyed reading this book, the characters drew you into the story and it was a really great story. There was the sexual tension between the new mates and the anxiety of Leah not wanting to be discovered as an ex criminal. But as the story develops, you see the love growing between the two main characters of Jav and Leah. You won’t be disappointed with reading this book.
Leah was a gullible young woman at eighteen who Was on her own in the world and her boyfriend talked her into being a lookout for a robbery against the Martian’s who had invaded her world on earth. But she was caught by the Martian enforcers and sentenced to forty five years in jail. She is now twenty eight years old and has been given a chance to be free again but she has to be a mate to a Martian. She chooses to be free and marries her Martian Jav, but she can’t tell him of her background and her criminal record.
Jav has always longed to have a family of his own after growing up in an orphanage from a very young age. He was chosen to be an elite warrior in the Martian forces. When he learns his new mates name, he is eager to meet her. When he sees Leah amongst all the women on the ship, he knows she is the mate he has been waiting for. He loves Leah and wants to protect her from all harm and give her all that she has missed out on in her life.
When Jav finds out that Leah has a criminal record after he learns of a threat to his king, he can’t believe that she would betray him in this way. When he learns that a weapon has been planted in her possession, he is determined that she will not be taken away from him. But when he is fighting for her, the real culprit comes out in the open to confess, Leah is exonerated and they live happily ever after.

This novel was written and edited cleanly, with no typos that I caught in the ARC version of this manuscript. I enjoyed this third novel in the series FAR more than I did the second novel in this series. I was quite relieved that this novel did not contain the problematic elements that the previous novel in this series did! The world building of Mars and the Martian society was interesting. The characterization was good, with both hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was organic considering the length of this romance. The plot and pacing was exciting, meaning I was turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. There was medium angst in this novel and high stakes. I was able to enjoy the angst in this novel because it was set up by essential plot elements and was well justified on the part of the heroine. I tend to prefer high stakes in all my romance novels, so I enjoyed that aspect of this novel. This novel used the Mars Needs Women trope, the Partner in Trouble trope, and the Mail Order Bride trope. The world building, plot, and pacing all rated four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship also rated four stars. The combined score of this novel is therefore four stars. This novel ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus to this whole series. I recommend this sci-fi romance to readers who enjoy the intergalactic Mail Order Bride trope found in so many sci-fi romances. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this novel, though I did enjoy it quite a bit.

“Ravenous Alien Mate” is the third book in the “Savage Martians series” and Sue Mercury delivers again!! Wow! The story has it all - intrigue, suspense, HOT sexy scenes and a beautiful romance. Jav is an Elite, specialized warrior which means he’s been enhanced - very intelligent, can run faster, is stronger and amazing in the bedroom. He was an orphan and has always dreamed of having a family. Finding his mate gives him a chance, at having a family but will anyone want to mate with someone who has been enhanced? Leah committed a crime, was sent to prison for 18-20 years. She has served 10 years and believes she can’t serve another day. She is offered to be paroled if she becomes a mail order Martian Bride. The Martians have conquered Earth and rumor has it that they aren’t friendly or kind and they mate for life. Can she make that commitment? When she gets to Mars her mate Jav isn't what she expected. He is kind and caring. She develops strong feelings for him and is afraid if, he discovers the secret of her past, he’ll send her back to Earth. Will she be able to tell him the truth before it's too late? Jav adores her and he’s an Alpha who would do anything for his mate. To keep things interesting, Sue Mercury has the secret come to life before Leah has the opportunity to tell Jav. Will Jav stand beside her? Will he still want her? Ummmm, guess it’s time you picked up the book and read and entertaining, emotional and well-written story. Oh, and discover the answer.
Leah is offered a second chance at life, the parole board says all she has to do to get out of jail 15 years early is agree to be a mail order bride to a Martian, who happens to mate for life. Easy, right? Except Martians are the oppressors, they defeated humans in the last war. Not to mention they live on another planet, and does anyone actually know how they treat their mates?
Jav has never had a family. He’s an orphan who always dreamed of parents, a family... what other people had. A mate isn’t his second chance at a family - it is his first and only chance, and he’s an Elite Warrior who excels at everything he puts his mind to.
This done in one quick read is a solid stand alone. I haven’t read the previous stories, and while this got me curious about them, it didn’t leave me feeling like I was missing puzzle pieces to understand either the plot or characters.
Miranda and her mate took some unexpected twists, and I find myself hoping they get a story as well.

Does Leah deserve a happy future after the mistakes in her past? by sewsummore
After spending the last ten years in prison, Leah was happy to accept the offer of freedom and a mate of her own. Jav had long dreamed of having a mate and family of his own. After meeting Leah, he knew his dreams would soon be a reality. Leah kept the truth of her life before Jay a secret, fearful that he would judge her harshly for the youthful mistakes she had made. The relationship between Jav and Leah progressed very quickly from strangers to mates but, the chemistry between them feed their yearning for a different life together. When the truth of her past is revealed, Leah thought her world had come to an end, but there were more shocks to come. I enjoyed this quick story of human/alien love. Both Leah and Jave had painful episodes in their lives and deserved a future filled with love and happiness. Does Jay forgive Leah the lies she told? You will have to read the book to find out. So very good! Sue Mercury has nailed it with this series! Full of vivid descriptions that bring her alien world to life, I hope this isn't the last book in this series! These "Martians", while depicted as savage to humans, are intense, protective, and loving. And I love that they come is a variety of colors! The human females in this series all have at least one thing in common, a willingness to face an uncertain future what a Martian mate. That takes courage. Leah is sweet and strong and hiding secrets. She's full of remorse over her past, but fearful of her new mate's reaction. Jav has pinned all his hopes for the future on his mate. Upon meeting Leah, Jav knows that he was right to, immediately become smitten, and determined to be the best mate. Intense passion, marital bonding, political intrigue, and more make this a very fun read!

Leah has spent 10 years of a 25 year prison sentence for being the lookout for a crime. She is called before the review board and learns that her sentence will be served if she will go to Mars and be a mate. She only has one minute to think about it and decides she will go. She is hopeful that it will be a new start for herself. She lies to her mate Jav about her life because she is afraid he will send her back to Earth. Jav is excited to have a mate. He was raised on an orphanage and wants a family of his own. He realizes that Leah is lying to him about things and tries to find out about her past and is unable to initially. When Leah is accused of a crime on Mars, all of her history comes up. She must now tell Jav everything if he is going to clear her name. Will there be happiness after her lies. Must read to find out. I am in love with this series.

The best alien of the three The genetically enhanced Jav is a fearsome warrior and his dearest wish is to start his own family ... because he is an orphan. As soon as the Martian king orders him to take a human bride, he immediately agrees. Leah, 28, is unlucky in life. As an 18-year-old she helped her boyfriend Steven at the time as a look-out. They were caught and after 10 years in prison, she has the option to end her 25-year prison sentence immediately if she agrees to marry a Martian. Of course, she agrees and cannot believe her luck when she gets the stunning and tender Jav as a husband. However, she keeps silent about her past and this leads to problems. As always, it's beautifully romantic and sexy, and the excitement is amazing. Of the three books in the series of the Alien Mail Order Brides, this is my favorite.

Leah made a foolish mistake when she was 18. She was paid for it for the past 10 out of 25 years. Upon her good behavior she has the choice of going back to jail or pleading her case for early parole. She is given an offer she can’t refuse. Be a Marttiaxoxalian’s bride or go back to jail. Well with that no brainer, she becomes a mail order bride. Jav, one of the King’s elite Vash’arr warrior was given time to meet his bride. He is attracted to her and knows upon arrival that Leah is his mate. Jav being one of trusted warrior with secret missions can’t wait to meet his bride. Leah was given the suggestion to never look back and accept the second chance to a new life. She is worried that stretching the truth about being incarcerated will effect her Mate from accepting her and sending her back to jail. What’s a bride to do? No cliffhanger, just a lot of steaming interludes

Leah is a prisoner granted early release in exchange for becoming a bride to a Martian warrior. Jav, a great warrior and friend to the king, is longing for a family of his own. Leah is ashamed of her criminal past. Will she be able to keep the details away from her new husband? Will he still want her? “Ravenous Alien Mate” is sweet yet extremely passionate. Jav is so enamored of his mate that he will do anything to keep her happy and safe. While no pushover, he is fair even when faced with her deception. This book kept me intrigued until the last page with it’s tension and emotion. Great plot with themes of moving forward, honesty and loyalty without judgement. There are 2 stories before this one with shared characters - I have to read those, too! This one starts off dark but ends with the reader feeling the love in this romantic sci-fi adventure! 5 stars.

Leah (with the help of a terrible boyfriend) made a mistake and has spent the last ten years of her life suffering for it. Given a chance to get out of prison early she takes her chances and decides to become a bride on Mars.
Jav, the easy-going gentle giant of previous books, has had one wish his whole life - a family of his own. Now he's eager to start anew with his human bride.
This is a sweet entry to the series and a nice easy read. Leah is cautious and nervous but trying very hard and Jav is kind and determined to make things bright for his young bride. Lots of hot scenes and the plot moves at a quick pace but without rushing or omitting details. I do wonder what happens to the "bad person" in the story but that's a minor issue.

Jav is quite the charmer. Heck, he had me falling for him after just a few words with Leah. He's too perfect to be anything but fiction and I was swooning the entire time. Leah is just as taken with Jav, but is haunted with guilt that she hides from him the fact that she came to Mars in exchange for a shortened prison sentence. She had gotten involved with a xenophobic crowd who took things farther than she expected, and was given a harsh sentence. She faces accusations planned assassinations from other humans, other Martians, and surprises from her past. I have to keep the review short to avoid spoilers, but in short, I really loved it. There wasn't that much that set the Martian culture apart from any of earth's cultures, but the story was too enjoyable for me to care too much!

Leah only had two options either stay in prison and serve her 25 years or marry a Martian. She had been locked up for 10yrs and knew she would never make it any longer. Jav didn’t need a mate. He was a warrior and build to fight and defend. Well he thought he didn’t till he saw his friends and others happy with human mates and having families. He now had a chance at happiness, family.
First let me say that these two are hot in bed and everywhere else. There was some serious sex. It was steamy. I did feel for bad for Leah. She never wanted to look back but the past sneaks up on us. She just wanted to find love and move on. I love that Jav was always aroused by her. This is a great story. I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. Keep making them steamy.
I enjoyed this immensely, it was a beautiful romance right from the start.. I loved Jav for Leah because he made her safe and was kind and considerate for her. Leah has been imprisoned in jail for twenty five years and has so far only done ten, when she is sent up before the parole board and given a choice. To be a mail order bride to a Martian or stay behind the bars for the reminder of her years. For her it was a no brainer, go and marry a Martain they cant be that bad. But when Leah mets Jav he treats her with kindness and makes her safe. But after a time a secret comes to light that she hasnt yet told Jav and that is where she was from before she was a mail order bride.
Couldnt put this down once i started, its definatley worth 5 wonderful stars.
Sent to prison at 18 and spending ten years of her 25-year sentence behind bars, Leah is offered early release in return for becoming an alien mail order bride. Her mate will be a huge Martian – and they mate for life. But she is desperate for freedom and finally agrees.
When Leah meets Jav, she is treated kindly and with affection, not what she had expected. But what will he do if he finds about about her criminal past? Jav adores Leah, but he senses she is keeping a secret from him. Then suddenly, Leah is falsely accused of a plot against the Martian king and queen. Will they be able to clear her name? Or will he lose his wonderful bride before they can even start their lives together?
This is an amazing story! I loved every second of it. I was so glad to see Jav finally get his story. He was one of my favorite characters from the other books in this series.
Jav has been alone since he was a child. He had a chance to become a Vash'arr warrior to help his race. He finally has a chance to get a mail order bride from Earth and get a family that he has longed for. Leah has been in prison for 10 years for a crime. She is offered a chance to get out of prison and go to Mars. She takes it and hopes that her new mate will be kind. Jav and Leah connect quickly but she decides to leave her past 10 years a secret. When her past is discovered what would happen to them?

These books are getting better. I’m so glad I have kept reading the books in this series because they are getting better. Jav is such a great hero. All he wants is a family and to protect his world. He has done so much for his people, he deserves to be happy. Leah made a mistake, a big one, when she was younger and got caught. I understand her not telling Jav about it in the beginning (she was frightened and wanted a new start) but I really wanted her to be honest, instead she lies and lies. All he wants is to have a real, true relationship, he shows his character, but she hides herself. She doesn’t even tell him the truth, it comes out and he is incredible in his response. They get their HEA, but in a lot of ways I wish she gave more back to him.
Jav is a sweet, sexy orphan teddy bear who has hope for a family. Poor scared sweet Leah is hoping for a future. They need eachother and are so sweet together. This is the third book in the Savage Martians series. It can be read as a standalone but I personally recommend all three are read. All the characters are very well done, real and rounded. There are lots of hot sexy scenes and other elements to hold the readers interest. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This story will give you a big hug. A very enjoyable story and series. I loved it.
This is the third book in the savage martians series.
Jav can't wait to meet his bride. As one of the Royal Warriors he was ready to settle down and start a family.
Leah was serving a prison sentence and was due parole. Her choice finish her sentence on Earth or agree to be a Martian Bride. She signed up and was taken to Mars. Leah wanted a fresh start and to forget her past.
Jav and Leah are quick to fall for each other but Leah hasn't been honest with Jav about her past and a tricky situation involving a plot to assinate the King and Queen puts their relationship to the test.
I hope there are more books in this series and I look forward to reading the next.

This is a great addition to the Savage Martians series. The parole board gives Leah the chance for release if she travels to Mars to be mated with a Marttiaxoxalian warrior. Jav is a genetically enhanced warrior who is waiting for his human mate to arrive from Earth and when he sees Leah he knows she is the one. The mating between Jav and Leah is fast and furious, nonstop for three days before they finally come out of their apartment. There is danger lurking and Leah is named as the suspected rebel. There are dome tense moments but everything works out. I loved their story along with the two previous books. I would highly recommend this series as a great read.
This was a fun and fast paced story that takes a prisoner off to be a bride to a Martian spec ops warrior. Again, I easily placed myself in this book because of the fab world building. There was angst, trust issues, danger and steamy romance to keep and hold my attention, making this another one-sit read for me by this author. And I have to say, 'Ravenous' is a great reflection of Jav and a perfect title. He really did consume her with a ton of hot smexy times. Leah, feeling the attraction and heat between them, from the get-go, was happy to go for that ride and I do not blame her at all. Lol!
I enjoyed this book and its characters. The story was fast paced as was the love that developed between Jav and Leah. Both have suffered losses and are alone in the universe but together they are whole (and endearing). I recommend this continuation into the Martians that now live in the Milky Way and rule over earth. Jav is “ravenous” for Leah (which is shared in 18+ rated scenes); and Leah finds redemption in his arms. If only all single earth women could find such devoted, attractive and loving aliens of their own.

So I read until the 3rd book, hoping that this last book will be much better than the last. And it did. I like this one much better compared to the last two. For one, it was much smuttier and passionate. Second, the H showed how a real alpha alien H was by showing affection, trust, and commitment toward his mate. Third, the MCs character complemented each other nicely. I like how the story played out too. And how small drama twist nearing the end give nice addition.
Virgin h, (not sure on the H) Ex-con human h, warrior alien H No contraception No OW/OM HEA. one mating for life Mail order bride Overall score: 4 mail order bride stars
This book 2 in the Savage Martians Series is a very well-written story with well crafted characters. These wonderfully written characters, flaws and all, will make you feel their emotions and you will root for them to make the connection. They have wonderful chemistry. I cannot wait to read more. She is promised parole if she becomes a Martian bride. They mate for life but cannot stand another day in jail. Her mate is not what she expected. He is kind and caring but will she be able to tell him the truth before it is too late?

I really enjoyed Jav and Leah's story. Something about second chances and starting over just kind of resonates. However, when it starts on a lie and seems to snow ball out of control, it seems like Leah's "Happily Ever After" was disappearing right before her eyes and the guilt gnaws at her because Jav is so wonderful to her, not the savage conquerors that they had been lead to believe when they took over Earth. Well written, great characters and some unexpected twists and turns. This was a great read.
