Wonderfully written book written by the main character, Minka's, granddaughter. This book is an unforgettable love story for Minka's newborn baby. It captures her love, fortitude, resilience, kindness, loyality and love of God. Minka needs to give her baby up for adoption, her beloved Betty Jane/Ruth in order for the baby to have a life that Minka could not give her. Minka's love for Betty Jane never waivered. She prayed to God in her 90's that she could reconnect with her child and that prayer was answered allowing for the whole family to reconnect. You will definitely need kleenex for this book. Amazing story!!!

I didn't know I was in for such a churchy story. The first third was -paced. It really dragged after that.

This book was absolutely beautiful. I shed tears when I got to the last 10 pages and I hardly ever cry. I'm so glad that she got to see her daughter and have a relationship before she passed on from this world. And her heart? Such a beautiful soul, so forgiving and kind. Truly an amazing woman!
