This was a good start. I'm interested in seeing what other books this author has to offer! 3.5 Stars

Apt 103 is a short romance book that I found for free via a romance group that I'm a part of on discord. Its about a woman named Logan who is attracted to another woman, Natalie, that lives in her apartment building. While she feels this strong connection and attraction, she is unsure of whether the other woman feels the same way. What is so interesting about this short story is that it's written in second person. While I don't necessarily have an issue with it, I know that it can be an adjustment for people who are not used to reading from that perspective. I think it was an interesting way to tell the story. I believe I understood what the author was going for; however, I can also see how that could take a reader out of the story. Overall, I thought it was cute. There could have been a little more background information on each character. I feel like it was glazed over some really interesting parts. I can't wait to pick up more from this author. The writing was great and I would love to see what she can do with a full length novel.

Apt 103 is a little unusual because it’s told in the second person, present tense. This means we get lines like “You see more of her. On purpose. By accident. You say nothing.” So, we get Logan’s perspective and it’s as if the reader is Logan. I wasn’t sure if I would like that, but it was pretty easy to get used to after the first few pages.

This was a simple little, short story that hit all the marks. It was an interesting and page turning. I like that Shea did not add any unneeded fluff. She just stuck with the basics and those basics were hot. Great job by Shea and I look forward to reading more by her after this little gem of a sample.

I’m generally a big fan of second person, present tense but I’m not convinced it was the right choice for this piece. Overall this short story was cute and sweet but there were several throw-away threads that didn’t seem to add anything or get resolved and the writing was unimpressive and awkward in places. Solid ideas, believable characters and sweet queer joy vibes but execution left a bit to be desired.

Please take my review with a grain of salt and don’t let this deter you if the story interests you - I’m not generally a romance reader so I’m prone to failing to click with the genre when I read it.

I think this is the first story I’ve ever read that was in second person, present tense and it took me a little while to get used to it but it was a cute little journey and quite different from her other work that I’ve read.

It is very short though, half the page count is actually a sample of another of her books, Chef’s Kiss so I was disappointed we didn’t get more of Nat and Logan.

That said, Chef’s Kiss was a 5 star read for me so if you haven’t read it already you might get more out of this one.

Sweet!

Logan has been pining over Natalia, the girl in apartment 103. When she gets invited to spend time with Natalia she realises there is more to the girl she has been admiring from afar, and that her affections might not be so one sided after all.

This was a really short, simple, sweet little story. It had an interesting tone and although not overly detailed due to the length gave enough emotion. It felt like a series of linked moments, snap shots and worked well as a short introduction to Stephanie as an author.

Short and Cute!

This was a quick run of the mill mutual attraction. What you have is one tenant of an apartment building attracted to another tenant. Rather than be direct with courage she takes to watching the tenant who catches her eye. Logan knows how she is watching Natalia is bordering on stalker but she can’t help it. When Natalia turns the lid on her and invites her to game night with her friends, Logan goes but she doesn’t really want to. She shows up at Natalia’s apartment late, but forcing herself to deal with this attraction head on. Natalia who is very forward in hugging Logan and sitting next to her the whole night, quick kiss her as she is leaving. The next morning Natalia reaches out again and Logan takes the opportunity to invite Natalia to dinner. After small talk and learning some things about each other it becomes apparent that Natalia has feelings for Logan and is not afraid to make it known. Logan realizes Natalia knows she has been watching her because Natalia has been watching Logan. What transpires is two people who want each other and doesn’t want to wait anymore! Great romantic dialogue.

Short. Very short. But left me wanting to read more from this author.

Told in second person present tense POV, which took me all of a single page to get used to. It puts the reader in the position of Logan, who has been watching her neighbor Natalia, intrigued. When Natalia invites Logan over for game night, their relationship progresses past two strangers noticing each other.

Apparently the author has a full length novel on the way and I hope that is the case. For now, I'll content myself with her other short story.

Longing is the most powerful aphrodisiac.

Natalie is the beautiful neighbor down the hall. Logan has been watching her for months. What will happen when they openly share their longing. This is a must read full of a hot connection that leaves you warm and flushed. A great short story, I would love to know where these girl go.

3 stars. The writing is really good. This is my first read by Shea though I have a few books by her on my kindle. I'll definitely get around to them because I liked this. I liked that it was in second person and the plot was interesting. I wanted more by the end but as it is it was pretty damn good.

A very cute and easy reading that if I'd known was in 2nd person, probably would've missed. It usually makes me cringe and I'm glad I didn't. Still not my thing, but if in small doses can be quite enjoyable.

Short but Packed

This short story is packed so full it's amazing. Shea is an artist with words. She paints a masterpiece with so few words, so much meaning in such a brief space. It's really good.

Good,Not story

I really enjoyed this story. I think it would have been even better as a full book not just a short story. But still well worth it!

No muy creíble, puede que la causa sea que al ser muy cortita la historia, la autora no pudo desarrollarla mejor.

I like that this was second person pov, it made a lot of lines hit really nicely. Like the impact of the book literally starting with the line 'You are a stalker.'
