A continuation of the Eden Chronicles - The Forces on Eden are licking their wounds following their victory over the Strema. Their new allies and neighbors, the Jema, are free for the first time in a thousand years - and they want payback. The Jema are going to take the fight to the Kaerin on Chandra, with or without the help of Eden. Meanwhile on Earth, the dumpster fire continues to burn as Sir Geoff and Task Force Chrome are being hunted by the ISS and the military. The fight for freedom rages across three worlds and the one group that is capable of travelling between them is out gunned and outmanned.

Good book with good story. Lots of action. But getting so tired of the female super hero's (Beverly) being able to make big men shake in their boots and cry with just a "look". Beverly can fly helicopters, jets, kill special forces with her pinky and make men faint with just a look. Maybe intended for comic relief.
I’m intrigued by the story and will keep reading the other books, BUT his editor needs to read the book. There are so many errors. It’s as if his mind is faster than his typing. I have to reread a sentence over again to understand what he is trying to say. I’ve read other people have the same experience. I would recommend he gets on editor like Grammarly and pay for the actual version, not the free one to help with catching all those errors. I think he would be surprised how many errors is so called editor hasn’t found. Good luck and on to Bridgehead.
I think that by the time you have reached the third volume, you are either a fan or you question why you are reading this book. I have to admit that I found this book better than the second volume, which was head and shoulders above the first volume. I am glad that I stayed with it because I really enjoyed this book.
In terms of storyline, it wasn't too demanding. The good guys are the good guys and the evil-doers are the evil-doers. It's a fairly black and white world in which there is little moral ambiguity. I find that refreshing, as it happens. Perhaps that's what appeals in these books? We know who the heroes are and we are easily able to root for them, secure in the knowledge that they will prevail in the end. As I said, it's a simple tale that is told well.
I started to get a bit confused with the plethora of characters in this volume. I suspect that we shall lose some of them along the way - there is quite a high mortality rate for the bad guys - so I expect to have a constant flow of new villains to be slayed. And that's what we really want. We want good to triumph over evil, which it does in this book.
I appreciate that this book won't appeal to some people. It leans towards a form of neo-liberal libertarianism, but it ties itself in knots a bit if we start to tease out the politics in the book. I didn't go there because there is enough politics all around me for me to be looking for it at bedtime. I see these books as a fun bedtime yarn, which is written well, which has a decent pace to the storyline, and which I can just enjoy. That's why I enjoyed the book.
3rd book in the series and for the first half I have to admit that this was heading towards being my least favourite, and then things turned around and I found it as enjoyable as the first 2. The story has 3 distinct arcs:
1) Focussing on Kyle who has returned to 'Earth' to retrieve the Phone Box translator that can be used to move between the worlds as it's going to be needed to support Audie when he heads to Chandra in order to try and foster a rebellion against the Kaerin. Whilst there he meets up with Sir Geoff and others in hiding from the ISS 2) Audie and Jake go to Chandra to set up a base from which Eden can resupply them whilst they try and see about trying to get a rebellion started 3) There is story of Sir Geoff and his handlers who are trying to evade the ISS and attempting to reach the location of the Phone Box translator.
At first the book is a bit disjointed but it comes together nicely. The actions scenes are excellent, the book moves along at a good pace. The only downside for me is the somewhat disconnected storyline back on 'Earth'. We are led to believe that the Eden colony has been founded because of the need to escape the totalitarian like state that was forming in the US. the ISS is portrayed as almost omniscient locking up dissenters and protestors for minor or imagined causes. Yet, Sir Geoff's group steal and Osprey and nobody can find them. This feels to me like a bit of stretch. Now that Sir Geoff is on Eden, it will be interesting to see if any further parts of the story are set on 'Earth' or is this the last we will here of it.

Can't wait for book 4! Extropolating current political trends in the West rang true without sugar coating either Alt Right or Progressive positions. Hopefully it's a warning to both sides that their political opponents do have valid concerns.
The action sequences ring true to this former Marine. Most importantly it's truly a great story with characters who develop naturally. A great yarn!!!
Don't care much for these now seemingly popular series reads, attempting to garner readership as "GAME OF THRONES" copy cats. This one is better than most and worth the time. I probably will not be back for more, don't like waiting. It was, however, a reasonably good time passer. Well done and entertaining enough. It only gets four stars because it's a wait for series soapy.
Simply the best author I have come across in a long time!
I very rarely leave reviews but I had to this time. I was so intrigued by the authors writing style and story lines that I have devoured every book he has on the market and an impatiently waiting for sequels. You won't regret reading these books.....as long as you don't mind staying up all night page turning because you just can't put them down Well done Mr Anderson! Well done. Now write faster
Usually when I am fortunate enough to discover an exciting new author (new for ME, I mean) it's after they have completed an entire story arc. With The Eden Chronicles I came in after book three, and I believe I will go NUTS while waiting for book four.... This is undoubtedly one of the freshest, most exciting stories I have read in a long time. I highly recommend it.
But it could use a better technical proofreader. I get pulled out of the story when a vehicle is described as a “Hi-Lo” when what is described as a HiLux. Vehicle machine gun mounts are pintles not “spindles.” It’s a nitpick, but I find it jarring.
Having said that, I’m really enjoying the story, excepting the accurate prophecy of what’s happening here on Earth Prime. Too believable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written. The story was interesting. The characters were engaging. I believe I have read all of the Seasons of Man and Eden Chronicles books. They were all excellent and I am eagerly awaiting more! Additionally, I wanted to say how much I appreciated reading an author who shared my values and did not insult my intelligence with politically correct / woke garbage. That is really rare these days and I am so thankful I found S. M. Anderson’s books.
Sometimes the third book in a series is just a place holder, going deeper into characters and the like. Not here. Book 3 is action packed from the start to the finish. That said it was difficult remembering what world was currently being used and who was where. Some characters from books 1 and 2 have only made it into book 3 in name. It is a good read and points to a good 4th novel
The character building and story lines are exceptional, the editing needs some work but not too disruptive to reading flow. The story makes you wish inter dimensional travel was a thing, I would love to "start over" on Eden. If you are looking for a break from reality I highly recommend this series.
Great action. The multi-dimensional world war story has a fully fleshed out backstory that lends great detail and explanation for some events and character choices. Some more minor characters from previous books in the series take more centre stage here. This book has left me wanting more.
Fun concept and well executed. Lots of surprises along the way and very few grammatical errors. One of the very few books of this genre that spends more time building characters than going into munitions detail. An idea; add one gun nut character and let him go on at length about his equipment.
Just finished book 3. The world and character development is engrossing and gains more depth with each book. A different spin on what caused this dystopian world but again quite topical with some of the autocratic, totalitarian and theocratic governments on our planet. Great writing and very much looking forward to book 4.
Great book/series,well written with very few typos, well developed characters who respond in a very real very human way, none of the "normal man suddenly turning heroic while performing superhuman feats"stuff that so many of this genre is overloaded with, you won't be disappointed with this series
Just finished reading all three books in the series and really hope that the author writes more in the series. Right from the beginning this series keeps you intrigued with plenty of action and lots of science it also reflexs on the way the governments of the world are going. This is a must read for all lover's of great stories.
Well, S. M. Anderson continues to produce literature that not only satisfies, but causes disruptions to people’s daily routines. Three worlds, different peoples, and excitement from page to page. If you like adventure, this series is for you. Enjoy! Bravo Zulu, Mr. Anderson!
Enjoyed this series of books on inter dimensional worlds book one was excellent book two started slow but soon picked up and book three tied up the trilogy nicely although saying that Mr Anderson left it open for a follow up,well worth a read brilliant series.👍👍👍👍👍
Bringing the fight to New Shores. (Get it like the title). Audie and Jake go to chandra to start the work to tear down the big bad guys. And an excursion back to good ol earth ends in pain and two new annoying tag-a-longs. Best book in the series so far as it avoided most of the crazy political stuff, focused on action, and sneaking around in world lost in time.
I actually preferred this to the other 2 books in the series as there was even less right wing preaching and more tactics and a lot of action. The story all makes complete sense in their universe and is really ingenious and thought provoking. My only critisism is that the book is a bit short and that it really is a bit 2 dimensional with people either being supremely good or horrifically evil.
Well written, good plot and good character development! Looking forward to books 4,5 and 6! I enjoy a great story and this is one of the best! Up there with David Weber and John Ringo!
I really should’ve left reviews for the first two books in this series too, but at the end of each, I was in a hurry to start reading the next. What can I say? Read them. Read them now. You will not be disappointed.
Another good story and it was clear quite quickly that it would not be the last. However, again the book desperately needs proofreading and a little editing as some parts didn't flow as well as they could have.
One of the most enjoyable books that I have read recently a lot of authors can write edge of the seat thrillers but not that many can find yourself with a good bellylaugh at the same time
This story is far better than I had hoped. Elements of everything type of situation that interest me are present. The elements are woven together to create a tale too good to put down.
I really don't like to start series, most are chunked up and together wouldn't make a decent book. But this is good! Great characters, interesting plot...well written..and if there was a typo, I couldn't find it. Enjoy this series..I'm off to hunt another
