He's a larger than life MMA fighter. She's a quiet paralegal. The world they live in is under attack. Will they survive long enough to get their HEA?
Malakai Palamo is the seventh son of a seventh son. He left his Samoan island home in search of his mate. Almost one hundred years later, he faintly catches her scent. Kai doesn’t give up until he finds her. That should be the end of it, but nothing comes easy for the Stone Society Gargoyles, and Malakai is no different.
Josie Pierson has spent the last ten years living in her sister Presley’s shadow. Both her sister and their father are successful lawyers, and Josie is their paralegal, working her ass off to make them look good. She’s quiet, underappreciated, and constantly wishing she had what her sister has. Until she meets the man Presley wants. The man who wants Josie instead.
When Drago takes his war with the Stone Society to the next level, lives are at risk in more ways than one. Malakai and Josie rush off to Samoa to hide out, but they aren’t as safe as they should be. The excitement heats up in book 13, and someone's going to get burned.
Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)
Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.
Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.
When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.
I’ve been with the series from the beginning and IMO they just keep getting better and better!! This author always has well developed and the storyline is intriguing. Kai just wanted to find his mate and be settled like all of the other mated shifters. At the family owned gym he thinks he found his mate in one of the women’s classes he teaches but to find out it is her sister. Josie and Presley couldn’t be more opposite, whilst Presley is outgoing and the life of the party Josie is shy and reserved. Josie is in the back at all family functions and basically looked over, but Kai sees her for the beautiful person and soul she is. He just needs to convince her of that and keep her safe because all of the mates to the Stone society have come into danger. I loved this book and highly recommend it!!
I just finished reading Malakai, book 13 in Faith Gibson’s Stone Society series, and it is AMAZING!
If you have not read this PNR series, you should add each and every book and audiobook in the series.
Love is Love is the ongoing theme throughout each of these books, as mated couples find each other and families overcome obstacles that could tear them apart.
Faith Gibson is a phenomenal author who reaches deep into our hearts and makes our days a little brighter with her storytelling!
Excellent read. Action from beginning to end. Lots of things going on so even though this is a standalone I highly recommend reading from the very beginning of the series. It's easier to keep up with everyone and everything going on. I can't wait to see whose story is next. I read an advanced copy of this book.
I really enjoyed Malakai and Josie's story. I like how the continuing story arc keeps going. I didn't like the cryptic messages being delivered on the bad guys part.
I really didn't like how Hagan was able to best Julian when in previous books, he was no match. How did he all of a sudden gain these new skills?
I also did not like how mean Josie's sister was. I don't like the notion that just because you are tough or good at your job, you have to be a b***h. I have always disliked where one sibling was just model gorgeous and the other a meek mouse that somehow against all odds lands the hot guy.
Josie was smart, funny, a dedicated employee, and, from her description, gorgeous in her own right. Malakai was super laid back and easygoing. I think the little twist at the beginning of their relationship was a great new way for a bond to me made.
The action is still great, and the changing landscape of the enemy is keeping my interest.
Malakai (Stone Society Book 13) by Faith Gibson is the next book in a series I just absolutely love. Malakai aka Kai knows his mate is someone who has come into contact with Presley, one of the ladies in his class. Eventually he finds his mate. She just so happens to be Presley's sister. Joselynn is the total opposite of her sister who is overbearing, emotionally abusive and thinks the world revolves around her. Josie is the paralegal at her father's law firm along with Presley. With serious self esteem issues she has a hard time accepting this good looking sexy guy is interested in her. There journey to each other is rocky especially with the fact Kai is the seventh son of the seven son which is a blessing or a curse. Due to the ongoing war it seems the mates are always in danger. Once again the author has written a story that I can't get enough of. All her characters pull me in and want me to know about them. Also seeing the other characters from her other books and what they are up to always is a treat. Like I say her character development is the best. An action pack story that had me on the edge of my seat. I have to say that I initially wasn't interested in Kai's story. He was a minor player in the other books but I was so wrong. Kai's story is all that and a bag of chips and a juicy. I am so looking forward to reading more about him and Josie. 5 exceptional stars for me.
Malakai and Josie were a sweet couple. They had a fairly easy time getting together. There was a good amount of movement in the overall story as well as a number of changes going on with their enemies.
As usual, there were grammatical errors and huge plot holes. One of the women flies oh a jet at 8 months into her pregnancy. This is at least the second time someone has flown in their 3rd trimester, which is a no-no. At least Sophia had a doctor with her this time. There are inconsistencies in time based on things the author spelled out herself. It also seems like it has been 2048 for a really long time. Considering the series started out in 2047 and this was book 13, for it to still be 2048 seems unlikely.
I did enjoy the book and plan to read the next two in the series and then probably the novella(s).
Josie, a paralegal at her family’s law firm, is rescued late one night by Malakai, MMA trainer with a hidden side, when she gets a flat tire a few blocks from her apartment. As the story progresses secrets are disclosed, rejection starts their woes, and there are too many unknown foes. Faith Gibson’s Malakai is an excellent addition to her near future post-apocalyptic romance series. While some of the major plots have ben resolved, there are still plenty of questions to be answered.
Of all the Books, Rafe and Kaya 's story has always been my favorite, followed up by Tessa and Gregor and then Tamian and Lucy, while I love all the Books in between and I gladly read them more than once, this one is the one best one out of all! Their story is, was amazing, you did a wonderful job on this book after Spade and Deacons books I was feeling let down, while I liked them both it felt like something was missing.. You more than made up for that with Josie and Kai's story, thank you!
I love this series. The storylines are intricate and well developed. The bond in this book starts out quickly and intensely, instead of building. It makes for the rest of the story’s edge-of-your-seat action even better! The whole Stone Society is back, and readers fall in love again with previously introduced characters, as well as route for the Heroes introduced in this book. We also meet a new clan from across the ocean. New goyle abilities abound. Fantastic.
Whew! Someone open a window! Cause it just got hot in here after reading Malakai and Josie's story!
It may have been a fast wind romance but the action, romance and thrills were non-stop!
Add in some Samoa Culture to the mix and wowza! Plus all the other couple come back and are together stuck in this beautiful island.
But have no fear, there is plenty of action back at home as the others try and safe their homes and try to keep their families safe from a unknown killer who is set out to destroy them!
Malakai is the seventh son of the seventh son and in his Samoan family, it means that gargoyle is special. Kai has an affinity for the sun rather than the moon. When he finds his mate, and explains shifters Josie thinks she's being Punk'd and leaves, causing them both pain. Drago starts attacking the Clan, and most of the mates and children are sent away. But the plane gets sabotaged. It's one thing after another in this Book, but the best part is Josie keeps getting stronger and more confident with Kai in her corner.
Malakai has been looking for his mate for over a century, so when he catches her scent he goes to find her. Josie has been used and manipulated by her father and sister into becoming their paralegal. Finding herself working over 80 hours a week with no social life she longs to leave. One night a sexy stranger helps her and she never looks back. Set against the gargoyles war with Draco and a new threat; Malakai and Josie discover that together their love can overcome anything. Thoroughly recommended
OMG!! I can't believe that, I'm in shock!! Malakai is very special being the 7th son and his mate needs 2 b just has special as he is but in different ways. Shit hits the fan but there's going 2 b others 2 step in and help and support anything or anyone that needs it. The 1 person is a asshole and is trying 2 make amends 4 past sins but when it comes down 2 it he decides 2 do a little worse by trying 2 prove his innocence but it could turn and backfire on him in the future. The asshole that did alot of shit of 4 his shit in due x with his accomplice!!
This whole series is phenomenal! Kai is the seventh son of a seventh son. That is a very important thing. This is the reason for several things that happen in this book. Josie is so loving and caring. She is being used by her father and older sister in their law office as their paralegal without even one word of thanks. Now that she has Kai things are going to change. We get to meet Kai's family too. Drago and his Unholy are again after the mates. Plus the goyles may have a new enemy.
Another awesome read. Again, this author has done a phenomenal job with her imagination and the world she has built around our favourite gargoyles. The storyline was intriguing, exciting and totally enthralling. Loved the characters. Malakai and Josie were so different but absolutely made for each other. It was also nice to catch up with previous mated couples and characters. And together had to overcome their obstacles and find their HEA.
This was a full lengthen novel that started of with promise. However it just fizzled off. There was no suspense.absolutely no chemistry between the main characters.Honestly this was no alpha. This was a wasted two hours of mommy time as i found myself skipping to the end and really not missing anything. I mean really, the author just needs to stop writing or start a new series.
Thoroughly enjoyed Malakai, the 13th book in the Stone Society series by Faith Gibson. I had not previously read any of the others so I was a bit lost but the underlying story was so good, I plan to go back and read them all. It was a unique, edge of your seat kind of novel and I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to reading more in this series.
With this being book 13 in the series you either love the series or nothing else because there is no way you read all this series and not liked it, so with that being said Ms. Gibson did a amazing job on this one. A hot, sexy, Samoan Gargoyle whats not to love. The tension with the under lining story comes to a head adding to the already dire situation with Kai and Josie. This book kept me up until 2am to finish it. A must read.
I love Josie. She has a never give up attitude. She is quick and resilient. Her sister is awful. Her father only cares that she helps him. Kai has a great family. I love them. Tessa and Trevor will always be my favorite mates! Kai is the 7th son of a 7th son. He has special powers. He is so kind and loving. A lot going on In this one!!!
This was different I am so happy that all the characters have different heritage and upbringings. Which to see more of this couple because I don't feel like we got to explore as much as we could and learn more of the auspice of seven it was intriguing, the bonds and flames.
My grandfather was a seventh son of seventh son and this book was very special. What a fabulous read to a fantastic series. There is action, adventure, mystery and romance. Has fabulous characters new and old with getting new information on them. Love the Stone Society reads from book one to now. Can’t wait for 14. ❤️ 📚 👍
This was a good book with lots of twists and turns but not one of my favorites in this series. The characters are really good and believable. The storyline was ok but I wanted more action and suspense. It is a book I would recommend because it is a great love story.
Wow I am absolutely blown away again by Faith Gibson. This book was everything and more than what I expected. Thank you for the suspense, love and mistery all wrapped in this one. Can't wait for he next one.
I love Kai and Jossie story. The story has the action that I expected from the goyles but added new characters and more. Like always the writer did not disappoint and left me wanting more. Can't wait for the next story.
Loved this series and was excited to see I missed this last addition to the series. Intense storyline and definitely filled with hot alpha males that aren't a-holes! Very refreshing lol. Great HEA too. I recommend this series for sure.
I love Faith Gibson's work. Every Stone Society book gives you all you want. Love, drama, suspense, alpha men and strong women culminating in a strong HEA
