This collection of poetry, featuring the best of Mr. Manning's eighteen previously released chapbooks--is a marvelous statement of the underlying tragedies, the pain of lost love and the observance of everyday life within the reality that death is an assurance in the future. Mr. Manning's words are blunt and to the point, using, at times, his own experiences to portray the darkness we all share but try to keep in the background.
