He was an angel that night.

I’ll never forget the way his eyes scored my soul. Or maybe that was the drink and drugs clouding my vision. I really can’t tell you. All I can tell you is that he took me back to a mansion in the hills overlooking LA instead of returning me to my camp in tent city.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m homeless.

But everything that haunts me takes a backseat because the morning after, I’m confronted by a Russian male model and a bad boy with shades. They say they are my savior’s “roommates.”

Hah. As if I believe that for one second.

I doubt them all, and I would have left…I really would have. If it weren’t for the offer he made.

Shawn Van Doren, as I come to know him, is a billionaire. He owns the world’s most renowned chain of hotels and seeks control like it’s his drug. When he offers me ten-thousand dollars to pose as his socialite girlfriend…I say no.

Sike. I said yes. You think a hungry homeless girl would turn that down? Not in a million years.

But this choice proves to be my deal with the devil. This choice seals my fate. This choice is what catapults me into a world of danger, money, mobs, and lies.

But I’ll tell you a secret…

I have nothing to lose. No home, no family, nothing. I don’t fear them, and I don’t fear death.

I’m not the innocent little girl that they think I am, and this? This is exactly what the wicked girl inside me craves.

Dark Cherries is a full-length reverse-harem billionaire romance and may have triggering themes for some. Audience should be 18+

Different than other RH’s

I received this book for free and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Allie is not my favorite type of FMC, she’s just slightly too childish, she gives in too easily even as she is thinking in her head the opposite, she doesn’t really stand up for herself and when she does she’s quick to apologize for that very thing. I couldn’t connect with her as a FMC.
Now the me, wooow, those are the types of men I like in my harem. I didn’t feel like we got enough of Rhett and Alexei. But the small fractions we got had me begging for more.
The story is a different one and while I loved the plot, it was a little confusing and Incomplete. I’m hoping that this isn’t the end of their story, I want more time with Shawn, Alexei, and Rhett. And I want Allie to grow up and learn about Penny.

This book is actually a dark version of pretty woman to me. Allie is a young woman and she is not having the best of luck lately. She is found by Shawn Van Doren and he takes her and makes a request and she can earn $ 5000. Being homeless she accepts the offer and she has to pretend to be someone else, a socialite. Will she keep her end of the deal? The men in this book are dangerous and that is so good! Need more of them please.

=This book was amazing. Perfectly dark, twisted, and angsty. The world Eve built for them was so vivid I felt like I could plan a vacation there myself. The best combination of men for Allie. Their relationships, attitudes. Love and hate amongst all of the characters worked effortlessly towards the finale.

I have to say the fmc is a bit different from the usual heroine I would read. I can say that this an interesting read with a plot that you wouldn’t except. The heroine herself is similar to the real life situation that a lot people face especially with life. We see her mostly distrustful of the people around her but she slowly cracks open that wall. This book does leave with a bit of questions unanswered that I could not wait for the next book to unveil. I hope to read the next one as soon as possible.

ehhhhhh I wasn't a huge fan of the reveal. This is okay, the dark and such didn't really work for me.

Allie was picked up in a drunken stupor on the side of the highway where she had given up on any form of self-preservation. Her savior seemed willing to take her in even without having truly known her. He was willing to let her sober up and walk away the next morning. But the longer he spent with her the more intrigued he was by her. That was when he offered her a proposal she couldn't turn down: pretend to be his girlfriend and meet some shady men and earn $10,000. What is a homeless girl to do but to accept the offer without care. It is only after she jumps feet first into the offer that she comes to realize that it comes with a lot more danger than she would have thought. Between her budding feelings of attraction for the three men that she shouldn't feel and the other men who want her dead, she may have made the wrong choice when she allowed her angel to save her.

Lord have mercy on my soul. This book was all over the place. First it opens on a homeless woman drunkenly stumbling along a highway and some man just pulls up beside her and says, 'hey babeh wanna ride?' (he didn't really) and she just... gets in the car and goes? What in the world? Then she goes home with him despite her having asked him to take her to the airport and just... accepts this is fine. Sure. Why not? When she wakes up the next day all sober she meets two more of the trio and still is not unnerved really. She doesn't hit the door and peace out. She sticks around. They offer her a way to make easy money and she goes along with it. No questions about what the catch is or why they are willing to give her $10,000 to act like another person and go clubbing. Nope. Then she starts sleeping with her "angel" and feels guilty about wanting the other guys too. But Shawn says, 'go do ya thing, dollface' and she jumps at the chance. No suspicion or questions. I am not even going to touch on the rest of the story because that was a cluster too.

None of what I read made any sense and it made even less sense when I got to the end as they throw one more mystery into the mix. What do you mean she has memory loss? Why? For what reason? What happened? Who in the--I just--help. Just help me. Help me understand this mess.

I know my review is not as analytical or helpful as it normally is when I try to review a book. I tend to try to offer some advice to the author on ways to improve but I am having an incredibly hard time with this one. I will say that some of the drama and intrigue was good. It is what kept me from DNFing the book. But there was too much going on and too many twists and turns. Too much acceptance from Allie. If she was meant to be played naively and like she was an airhead it would have worked. But you can't portray a character like a street savvy woman who just... accepts things at face value. That is not how a woman would survive on the streets. It made it all very unbelievable, unrealistic, and fairly corny.

The saving grace for the book is that I can see the meat and potatoes of the story and think it could be good, but there was so much fluff and so many inconsistencies that it was hard to enjoy the read. I will likely try the second book in the series and see if maybe that one will be a little better than the first.

Steamy wild ride

This story starts off with an opportunity for a homeless girl to get clean and to start over with the help of a billionaire and his two best friends. They are also his team to take down underground operations of trafficking and drugs. Allie is 19 so she makes the decisions she can with what information they give her which isn't a lot in the beginning. Once they all start trusting eachother it gets steamy. So honestly I can never decide which guy I like in the stories I read so I guess I'm into the RH genre, who knew? You learn new things about yourself everyday?

It ends with a shoot out and a huge twist going into the next book. There's a lot of secrets we don't know about with Allie (cover name in book Penny) and I can't wait to find out more!

🍒

Quotes:

"I’ve never been caught between three men who equally have made my heart stumble with feeling. I haven’t ever cared for anyone like this, and although I feel more connected to Shawn, it could be either one of them who offered me the bait first. Shawn just so happened to reach out and take what he wanted, which in turn allowed me to give in to my own desires. Can they blame me for that?"

🍒

"You know what they say, that change is the only constant thing in life. Every other stable thing in our world is an illusion, and the only thing we can count on is the shifting tides of life."

🍒💋

I recommend for those who love romance and can't decide which alpha male they like especially when they are so different. Also for those who like intrigue and action both in the bedroom and out.

Extra bonus recommendation : read in the bath tub with a glass of wine and a candle once they move into the mansion. 😉 I did that by chance you won't be disappointed.

Thank you for the ARC copy for an honest review!

Received an ARC copy in exchange of an honest review.
Homeless, drunk and drugged, Allie is rescued in the streets by the misterious bussiness tycoon Shawn Van Doren. Handsome, owner of an chain of hotels, with and dominant personallity, Shawn and his two friends, an russian model and a shaddy bad boy, rope Allie in an scheme where she's to pose as mr. Van Doren girlfriend in exchange of ten thousand dolars. But how hard is to play the billionare girl when his friend are just as sexy and you don't know what you're really getting into?

Dark, sensual and full of twists, this is the first book in the Conmen and Billionaries series. It has some triggers, like drug and alcohol usage. Three very sexy men and a girl atracted to every one of them. I loved this book. It left me with an sense of 'I need more!!' even though it doesn't end with an cliffhanger. Good plot, if a little hurried, with characters that we might need a little more in depth development.

This is an intriguing new entry in the RH world. Allie/Penny is an FMC with a mysterious past, who has been homeless most recently. When she’s seemingly saved by a handsome, wealthy man, it’s clear there is more going on with him and his friends than meets the eye. When she becomes entangled in an elaborate hoax that goes sideways, the secrets they’re all keeping may draw them closer together or tear them apart forever. If the mystery of it all is what initially draws you in, you’re still going to stay for the games that are to come...

Billionaires, con men and homeless girl. Sounds like 3 completely unrelated things - but this book mixes them all up into a fantastic, steamy read that I couldn't put down. Just when you think you've got this book figured it out, it flips you over and you love every minute of it. This is definitely one I am going to be rereading as well - I'm pretty sure I'd pick up different things each time and I love that in a book. I'm officially a fan of Eve Bradley.

3.5/5 stars

There are some dark themes that may trigger some readers and is definitely for 18+ due to language, topics, and steamy scenes. There were parts of the story that left me confused, hence the 3.5 star rating. I liked that the story was dark and twisted! There was lots of steam and sexy, angsty men. It definitely gave off Fifty Shade vibes!

Thank you to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a little confusing. It starts off kind of “Pretty Woman” meets mafia but it turns into something much more complex and interesting. The men are enticing characters exactly who you’d want in your harem. Ally is a bit immature and annoying but she grows up towards the end and I think there is high potential for her in future books. I will definitely be looking forward to seeing what comes next.

When I first started this book I questioned the reality of a billionaire picking up a girl from the side of the road and taking her back to his home. As the story continued though you got to see character growth and unravel both dynamics and connectivity between them. I recommend this book and hope to see Allie's story continue.

Delightful and Twisty ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️

Loved this book. It's sexy and fast paced with an original plotline and characters I actually want to know. There's an air of darkness and power exchange that really works for me. And some twists and turns that make me anxious for another installment!

This is a Rh harem book, but it takes a different approach in that the men are all friends, but the MC's relationship with each character is independent. It starts off as a Pretty Woman type romance, but soon some dark twists and turns unravel a mystery about who the MC really is. There isn't really a cliffhanger, but there are a lot of unanswered questions about who Allie really is that I am hoping will be answered in the next novel. I also want to see more of Alexi and Rhett!

I really enjoyed this RH Contemporary! It reminded me of a darker version of Pretty Woman but ended up way more dangerous and entertaining. The FMC is "saved" by a mysterious billionaire and soon ends up in over her head when trying to make money to get herself off the streets.

This is a dark and twisted reverse harem. Allie is an enigma, a homeless girl that is taken in by Shawn for a con. What happens next is a slippery slope that leads to the past while pushing her towards her future.

This book will take you for a wild ride. The guys are hotter than sin. I really did fall for them. Allie is homeless and very insecure. She does do some growing along the way . There is a major plot twist I didn't see coming. I really enjoyed the story. Some super hot scenes too.

Not entirely sure what I think about this one. It just seems weird, no mention from any of them about knowing her from before (not even the guys talking without her around). So many questions. I did like the fact the story was much different from others. Hopefully book 2 will hold the answers.

A story with a different kind of plot and a slightly different version of RH. It is dark, twisted, suspenseful and has a few reveals that come by surprise. A story that doesn't disappoint and takes you on a wild ride. It's an excellent read.

3.5 stars. This is my first book by Bradley and I enjoyed it. I love the guys. Allie is ok but I do find her a little frustrating. She is naïve and comes off bratty at times. I typically like my heroines to be really strong and fierce. I will say the twist in this book definitely surprised me!

Good

This was a good read. The plot line was different than a lot of RH books (in a good way) but it never really explained what happened to her.
