The Billionaire Op by Lori Ryan is book Three in The Sutton Billionaires Series. This is the story of Chad Thompson and Jennie Evans. I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Jennie has lost her husband and she feels that she can't and wont give her heart out again. So she has her job working at Sutton Capital and of course her friends. But Chad her boss does feel very attracted to Jennie but he senses her sadness and he doesn't know how to help her move past her lost. Chad has been attracted to Jennie from the start. When they are sent on assignment to check out a resort they start to let their feelings show but they do run into danger also. Enjoyed their story!

Doesn't stop them from getting busy....one time, but as momma always says one time is all it takes to get pregnant. Plus they are on the run from bad guys. Loved the letter, almost made me cry. Loved seeing the other Sutton peeps again plus the intro to a new guy.

This is a good romance, with a likable couple, but it bothered me how much Jennie hurt Chad before she finally admitted she cared for him. I get that she was still dealing with her grief over her husband's death, and probably didn't realize how badly she was hurting Chad -- but she should not have gotten involved with him until she was ready for a real relationship.
I liked both Chad and Jennie, but thought Chad didn't deserve how Jennie treated him. I was actually surprised at how forgiving he was, when she was so determined to deny her feelings for him.
I enjoyed the story, but was annoyed by Jennie's treatment of Chad. It gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.
For those who care, this book does contain sex, so it might bother anyone who prefers clean romances.

5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

At the end of this book, the author mentions something about Chad starting off as a bad guy (I am paraphrasing here) and I was glad that the author decided to not go down on this path. I am in love with that guy and I honestly thought that he deserved better than Jennie. He kept trying and trying and trying to get past her barrier and the walls she built and she was always refusing to let him in. For most of the book, I kept thinking that she was in love with her dead husband and that Chad was always going to be in the second place, which was great for angst, but I hated how it made Chad (and me) feel. This is Jennie and Chad's story. Jennie lost the love of her life when her husband died. Now she has her heart closed off and is not looking for love. Chad can see that Jennie is hurting and wants to help her. He knows he can’t push her, or she will build up more walls around her heart. With the chemistry between them he knows they would be good together, but he knows he has to move slow. When friends push them together, they still try and fight the pull but when danger comes there is no stopping what Chad will do to keep her safe. Even if he has to lose himself, he will make sure she is safe. But will it ever be enough for her to let down her guard?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.

This is the second book that I've read by this author and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
This book is part of a series. This is book three in the Sutton Billionaire Series.
Jennie has been through immense loss in her life when she lost her husband. She works at Sutton Capital a job she really enjoys and this is where he caught her eye. But she has vowed never to love again.
Chad is Jennies boss and he can see the hurt in her even though she tries to hide it but he's not going to pressure her. There are both hurting and are struggling with feelings of guilt.
After their friends interfere with these two and try and get them together no one could of seen how things would end.
Can these two souls help heal each other's hearts and look forward and leave the past behind?
This book will keep you on your toes and will keep you guessing with the suspense.
I loved the characters they have great chemistry and I was really rooting for them both to forgive themselves for living. This book deals with loss, heartbreak, guilt love and hope. This book will have your emotions all up and down and will really make you feel for these two characters.

A beautiful written story one in which you won't want to put down until the end!
If there was any hero that I rooted for then it would be Chad but he is battling a ghost one that even he fears he has no chance of winning against . Jennie believes that she had her one chance at a 'happily ever after' but that ended years ago with the death of her husband.
Jennie's feelings for her boss and co-worker Chad have been changing but when ever she lets herself think of Chad as anything other than a friend she quickly shuts it down - one kiss months before has started to crumble those walls but she is determined to remain true to her husband.
Chad cannot deny his feelings for Jennie any longer but he isn't sure how he can win against a husband that is no longer there.
When Chad and Jennie are sent on an assignment to a honeymoon resort Jennie starts to open herself up to Chad but when guilt sets in her walls go back up even higher. Another great read by Lori Ryan who once again brings strong,well developed characters and weaves an exciting story filled with danger and suspense. She pulls you in with her descriptive scenes as well as the intense story line. She had me glued to the pages with the twists as well as the slow burn romance. It's an action packed story , moves fluidly and I loved reading.

Both Jennie and Chad work at Sutton Capital and sparks are flying between them but after her husband died, Jennie isn’t looking for love. When they are sent off to a honeymooner��s resort for work, the attraction is heating up but will their pasts keep them from finding a future together? Fast-paced read with lots of drama and suspense. The chemistry is steam and the story entertaining. I liked it.

This book is OMG Exciting! Read it!
The first book in this series was fantastic, and each book has gotten better. This book was so exciting, sexy, and so suspenseful, I put it down - but I couldn't put it down for long. I had to know what would happen. I will be reading this book again - after I read all the next books in the series.

the story i’ve been waiting for !!!
literally wanted chad and jennie’s story since the first book and i finally got it! and it didn’t quite disappoint
loved the story in this one both romance and mystery. kept me on my toes as i watched the mystery unfold and watched chad and jennie open up to each other

Really good, clear plot with drama. It didn't feel like the first book where it seemed like so many different plot points were thrown in, this one had one little twist but it didn't overwhelm the story. Jennie got on my nerves just a little bit, but she worked it out in the end.

I enjoy the writings of many authors, including author Lori Ryan. Some stories float along pleasantly while others zip right along. Author Lori Ryan jumps right in and brings you along for the ride! Her characters are very well written, making you feel – love them or hate them either way, you’ll care. The Billionaire Op is no exception. Chad and Jennie overcome past baggage and friendly interference, along with some bad guys. Chad overcomes his stand-offish arrogance, and Jennie overcomes her will to live in the past. With great friends, lots of chemistry, a bit of intrigue, and family that loves unconditionally, this is more a relationship story than a billionaire story. An earlier (shorter) version of this story was published as Negotiation Tactics by this author. This story has more.
