When elderly Amish widow, Ettie Smith, was invited to the local fair to help judge the cookie contest, the last thing she expected was to find a murdered woman in the quilting tent. With so many people bobbin about, Ettie didn't want anyone to cotton on to what had happened, so quickly covered the body with an Amish quilt. Ettie forced her sister to inform the local detective, knowing he would only needle her about finding another murder victim. Can Ettie and her sister stitch the clues together, or will this be one murder that will leave them completely unraveled?

The author writes their verbal exchanges so well that I can picture them. Ettie is wearing lavender...it's the closest to pink as she can get. Elsa May in dark blue or green.
They forget some things but not the important clues. And wouldn't you feel that would be you?
I haven't read all of this series but this is far from my first. I enjoyed it. LOL at times. Chuckling. And smiling. A delightful read and Ettie would tell you to read it. Elsa May would pop in with a comment that Ettie already said that and didn't need to say it again.
Treadly Secret by Samantha Price is book 21, and the newest addition to the Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries Books. It will be available on August 22, 2019.
In this book, Ettie Smith has been invited to a cookie judge at the local fair. Her sister, Elsa-May is a little jealous that she was not asked to be a judge.
On her way to the cookie tent, Ettie gets turned around and enters the quilt tent by mistake. Upon trying to exit the tent, of course, she just happens to trip and fall over the dead body of a local quilt store owner who is also one of the organizers of this fair. How does Ettie always end up in the center of a murder?
You will find yourself totally absorbed in helping the sisters try to help detective Kelly find the murderer.
I actually found myself laughing out loud at some of the amusing behavior of the sisters as they tried to find the killer and discover why the murder had happened in the first place.
Would Ettie finally solve the crime? Read this wonderful story and find out. I highly recommend this series and this new addition. I was gifted an ARC by the author, and all opinions are true and are my own.
THREADLY . SECRETS.. Samantha Price Curiosity Mathilda asking the people as she meets them their age. Her Mother Kate wonders why a man judges the quilts, when he doesn’t make them. Ettie and Elsa May when meeting their new neighbor did Gabriel tell them about the murder associated with the house. Matalida telling the bishop about this dumb house, replied that it was not a living thing, for her it felt like it. One loves the bantering that goes on with these two sisters. As well as some jealousy when one is chosen to judge cookies, does she still feel that same way, when her sister stubbles over a body. Delightful, humorous and another winner Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
The sisters are at it again! In this new book in the series, the sisters are at the local fair showing their new neighbors around. Unfortunately, Ettie stumbles across a dead body after going into the wrong tent for a cookie judging at the fair. This causes the sisters to become in involved with helping Det. Kelly to solve the murder. The sisters send you through hilarious moments on their way to solve this awful crime. If you have read the other books in tjis series, then you must continue with reading this book!! A great read that I was lucky to receive an ARC copy.
There's a large pool of people who may of murdered the owner of the local quilt shop each with a reason to kill. Ettie and sister, Elsa May seem to have a hard time figuring out this one, possibly because of so many suspects. I had a hard time putting down this Ettie Smith mystery. Not only because of wanting to know whodunit also to see what the sisters would do or say next to have me laughing and them in hot water. I recommend Threadly Secret to you.
I was given an ARC to review giving my honest opinion.
Threadly Secret by Samantha Price The books revolving around the two elderly, widowed, amateur sleuth sisters are always so enjoyable. The repartee between the sisters is down-to-earth and always worth a chuckle. The really enjoyable part of these books is not being able to figure out “who done it” before it is revealed in the story. Threadly Secrets does not disappoint on either score. Who killed the woman lying in the quilt display tent of the fair? Follow the sisters as they solve yet another murder mystery in a way that will keep you coming back!
Once you start this book, it is hard to put it down. Samantha Price has a way of building her stories in such a way that you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Excellent mystery revealed in solving this murder case. The conversations between the two sisters is amusing at times. It is interesting how the detective depends on these two to solve crimes involving the Amish. I highly recommend this book. It can be a stand alone book even though it is in a series. My only complaint about this book is that there is no romance in it, but it was so good that I kept thinking while I was listening to it that someone should make a TV show out of this series. Everything is built nicely, the characters are written well, especially the sisters, their antics are funny and their investigative methods are genuine.
The two girls are at it again. I have so many laughs with them...laughter is therapy for the mind. I was totally in suspense until the end of who was the murderer. I am waiting for the next exciting book to come out with these two sisters.
It was so much fun watching these two elderly Amish ladies solve another murder a clear an innocent young man. Makes me wish it was reality! And they had such fun solving this mystery. I'm a huge Ettie mystery fan now!
Ettie and Elsa May are at it again they really get into some trouble in this one. Greta is killed at the fair and several people are thought to have done it. Entertaining as always
I just love these books! You never know who did it till the end! Ettie and her sister are the best detectives! I love all the characters and the Amish life! A great summer read’n
I enjoyed this book a whole lot. It was a great book and storyline and all of the characters were very interesting. I truly would recommend it to anyone.
I loved this book. So full of twists and turns. These ladies are so good at who done it stories. I laugh. I cry. Can’t wait to dig into more. Hallmark needs to make tv show about them.
I love the Ettie Smith's mysteries. She sure can figure out how to solve these murders even if she has to buy everything to make a quilt which she never intends to finish. Great Read.
Thready Secret is a nice clean cozy murder mystery by Samantha Price. I listened to the audio book and had trouble with the characters all sounding to similar.
Loved it! OOH! More suspense! Ettie and Elsa-May are at it again-who will solve this murder? My interest was kept from beginning to end! I received an advance reader's Copy of this book.
This was such a cute book. I loved the sisters banter between each other. Although it’s a murder mystery it never felt dark or eerie. The sisters are such a trip together and at times are very bold in their questioning. and you have to read until the very very end to even begin to figure out who it is!
This is just what I like in a cozy mystery: endearingly quirky characters, a mystery that can be solved quickly, a charming setting, and a satisfying conclusion. The elderly Amish sisters who solve the mystery are adorable. They make me think of the Baldwin sisters from The Waltons.
