The author seamlessly weaves different strands together to create a unique narrative. The plot pulsates, the pace is relentless , but it is the 3D characters that draw the reader in. So accomplished, so accessible. Loved it from the first word to the last ." Shaun
What a roller coaster of emotions, I chuckled, I had tears. I won’t give a description just to say that it is well worth reading. This lady is a great writer I thought that the Erica Cooper stories were great but this is even better.
I'm a perpetual series reader but couldn't turn down the opportunity of reading a standalone from one of my top ten authors. Loved hearing all about Athena. Faye proves, once again, she's a cracking storyteller.
I live and work in the North Shields area so the setting was great. Really helped me set the scene. Good story and a bit different from the police procedurals I normally read.
This is the fourth book by B Baskerville which I have read and once again I have loved it. This differs from the DCI Cooper books as it is set in the world of Martial Arts. The characters are brilliant and I was instantly intrigued with Athena and her backstory. The plot has many twists and different elements which keep you guessing the whole way through. Great, gritty writing. Hugely recommend this book.
