The first three books (The Way Home, The Way Forward, and The Narrow Way) in The Amish Millers Get Married series. Each book of the 3 books is a full-length novel.
Clean and wholesome, happy, feel-good, Amish Christian romance.
Harlequin Love Inspired publishes the mass market paperbacks of The Way Home, The Way Forward, and The Narrow Way.
USA Today Best-selling author Ruth Hartzler spends her days writing, walking her dog, and thinking of ways to murder somebody. That's because Ruth writes cozy mysteries and adventures. She is best known for her archaeological adventures, for which she relies upon her former career as a college professor of ancient languages and Biblical history.
It was a very interesting story about a young woman who has no idea what the real world is all about. It was nice to see that she was able to call on her family and friends from her community. It would have been like if we could all have that support in our every day lives. If you are looking for a light read this is a good book as are all Amish stories. I enjoy how they can live their lives without all the modern day convinces.
I enjoyed the first three of this five book set. I enjoyed the story lines. One family had 4 girls and another family had 4 boys. In the first book the buggy with the girls in it was hit by a car driven by Noah. Noah was Hannah's best friend and she had a crush on him, but after the accident Hannah was scared to ride in a buggy and refused to forgive Noah for what happened to her sisters and her. Hannah's Dad gives Noah a job and her mother tries to set her up with someone else. the other two books in this set are about the next two sisters. I will let you read them for yourself so that the story lines aren't given away. Each book runs into the next book with the characters and such. You are given a little more about the rest of the family. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that the writer confused the names in a few of the spots. Otherwise I enjoyed them. I have already started books 4 and 5 and intend to read more by this author.
I love to read about the Amish, so I chose this box set. It was light reading for a Senior like myself. The person who did the proof reading did not do a thorough job as I found quite a bit of grammatical errors. Words were misspelled, and sentences repeated. Also the ending of each scenario was very obvious. I sure I get what I paid for. Maybe the next series will be better.
This is the first time I have read books by this author and it will not be the last time. This was a boxed set of three stories about three sisters. I am going to get the book set with books 4 and 5 that are about the last two sisters in the family. This book can stand alone but the author tells a good story.
These stories are engaging and the characters are likeable. I enjoy that each chapter starts with a scripture verse. However, sometimes I felt that the story jumped around too much like there were parts missing. I did very much enjoy the stories so perhaps that is why I wanted more.
This was a good story line, but the writing was not great. The author seemed to repeat a lot of things as if to get so many words or pages written. She also mixed up the names of some of the characters a few times. I did still enjoy the set and will finish reading the next two as well.
Reading about the Amish has become some of my favorite reading. The life style seems so relaxing. Thru their troubles , illnesses, love, and hard work they find hope in the community but more important the believe in GOD.
Enjoy reading about Amish. The books seemed short and could have been one book. More about Amish life would have made it more interesting as would the development of family members lives included in the story. There were too few characters.
This 3-book set is an easy read with sweet endings for each of the three sisters whose story is told. I recommend this series for anyone who likes a quick read.
