Friendly Indians

This was a very good book written by Indiana Wake and I really enjoyed reading it. A young abused woman, abusive father and three brothers, frightened, a slave, can't leave, have to leave or die, mail order ad, answered, walked all night, afraid of meeting, freedom, marriage, getting use to not being frightened, friendly Indians, trading with the
Indians, threaten, starting to have feelings, making a new friend, meeting the Indians, making secret trading arrangements, going well, confessing their feelings. Will the Indians attack? Will the trading continue? Will there be a happy ever after? I would recommend this book to everyone. Buy the book to find out what happens and enjoy reading it.

Lily's mother died when she was 5. From that time on she was forced to wash clothes, cook and clean house for her father and 3 brothers who worked in a coal mine. Lily is now 20 and she comes across a discarded newspaper containing an add for a mail order bride in a nearby town. Daniel is a merchant who has worked hard to build up his business. He us 35 and looking for love. Will Lily and Daniel be able to adjust to married life as they deal with challenges to come, I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

The Trader and the Rescued Bride

This was a very interesting short story on how a young girl was forced to do her families bidding, in doing the household chores and baking as well as anything else they needed done before they came home from work. Her father and 3 brothers were very abusive to her and one day she found the courage to run away and get married. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Wonderful way to relax reading this story.

The story is a wonderful way to relax and take a journey to another time. To follow along and see how a couple come to terms with their situation and find a solution that suits everyone. It has some twists and turns along the way, that only add to keep you turning pages.

Good

This and the other books I have read by Indiana Wake are just about the right length! They are well written, interesting, short, and have a good plot. I like that the books continue the saga of the town and includes added information about the people in the books before. No proofing errors which is wonderful!
