Ash Park #8

A ruthless serial killer. A tormented detective. One chance to save his best friend.

Fresh off leave after a justified shooting, Edward Petrosky is battling his own brain as much as he is the world around him. His ex-wife has finally stopped calling, and he’s even pulled away from his neighbors. The chief of police might be the only person helping to keep Petrosky sober.

When a woman is found dead near a local running trail, the city goes on high alert. Not only was the victim posed, but her body had been altered as if a crazy plastic surgeon had taken a scalpel to her. This killer is meticulous, careful—in Petrosky’s experience, the most dangerous kind of psycho. But then a second victim turns up, and she hasn’t been mutilated in quite the same way. Strange for a perfectionist suspect. Had the perp been interrupted, or is there a more sinister explanation? Perhaps they’re dealing with a copycat, or a pair of killers—the citizens of Ash Park might be in more peril than Petrosky had anticipated.

But when the chief of police is abducted, the case shifts into unchartered territory. The killer they’re after doesn’t just want to play with his victims—he wants notoriety. And the only way he’ll get it is if Petrosky opens up about the case, a move that could put the chief’s life in more danger.

And that’s a risk Petrosky cannot take. Petrosky’s only shot is to find their perp before the maniac slices into his boss—the only friend he hasn’t managed to push away. Can he catch the killer and muzzle his demons? Or will this case awaken the devil he’s been trying to silence?

Dark. Twisted. Sick. Visceral. Awesome. This a real nail-biter of a story. The killer is a seriously messed up dude. Petrosky definitely has a one track mind and a laser focus. He won’t sleep until he has the perpetrator behind bars. I like him. One seriously intense book. I loved it!

Just another disturbing, suspenseful day in Ash Park. Petrosky as always on the verge of falling apart, but not. He's good at his job and has a big heart, so all his flaws and struggles just make you worry over him like family. But anyways, he and his partner have a case to solve!

There's a serial killer out there, and all his victims have different but horrifying things done to them. Especially the first one. That one may creep you out and make it hard to sleep. And one of the victims is someone unexpected.

Composed has just the right balance of scary, action, and mystery to keep the pages turning fast for me. I'm kind of addicted to the series.

Composed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 8)
Composed is the gripping eighth book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. This series just seems to get grittier, and more compelling the further we go. Each instalment manages to slightly eclipse the previous book- leading me on an intense, thrilling, mind-boggling ride- and giving me many chills and thrills along the way.
As with all the other books in the series, I was completely invested and entirely absorbed by the story. I gave up valuable sleep time to stay up reading, because I couldn’t put it down for a minute, I just had to know how everything played out before I could ‘let go’. But even after closing the book, the story stayed on my mind as I appreciated how cleverly crafted it was- while also anticipating what Book #9 may hold.
Detective Edward Petrosky has been battling his demons, through the series, but even more so in this book. He is put to the test when he has to hunt down a cold-blooded serial killer, deal with his personal issues, and try to save his only ‘real’ friend. The stakes are high, time is of the essence, and the killer is a twisted psychopath. So, with a lot hanging in the balance, everything hinges on Petrosky- and whether or not he can wrestle his demons into submission.
Compelling Reading!

Thank you, Meghan O'Flynn!

This has been one series that I have loved and enjoyed from the first book. I highly suggest reading all the books in this series to help you see where the characters are coming from. This author has continued to impress me with books that pull me into a suspenseful-mystery from the beginning. They are engaging and the characters make the story easy to read. This book is no different. It is fast paced and a page turner. I had no problems connecting to the characters as they brought the story to life. Petrosky is back in another page turner. In this book not only is he fighting himself but one of the most dangerous types of killer. A woman is murdered but when a second woman is killed, he starts to wonder if there is a copycat. But when his boss is kidnapped the story takes on a new meaning for him. When he refuses to do what the kidnapper wants, he is faced with having only one chance to find the killer before he loses the one person who has been there for him. Will this case wake or silence his demons? You don’t want to miss this book and the twists and turns that will leave you turning pages to the end. I lost track of time with this book and felt I was right there. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is book 8 in Meghan O’Flynn’s ‘Ash Park’ series but each book can be read as a standalone story. This is a gritty fast paced crime thriller which had me gripped from page one and which had so many clever twists and turns that it kept me hooked and guessing until the very last page. The main character, Detective Petrosky was a great character with so many layers to him and an intriguing backstory of his own. Composed’s storyline is chilling and dark, and I became fully immersed in the story. The writer has amazingly detailed descriptions, so I felt as though I was there along side Detective Edward Petrosky.
In this novel the Detective is tormented after a justified shooting in his previous case and fresh from leave his next case is a ruthless serial killer. With the citizens of Ash Park at risk Petrosky investigates, however when the Chief of Police and friend of the Detective is abducted the case becomes personal. Detective Petrosky must discover who the murderer is and stop him before his friend becomes his next victim. As described this is definitely a “dark, twisted, thrill ride”, and I could not put it down. I am already excited for the next book in Meghan O’Flynn’s ‘Ash Park’ series.

Composed is the 8th book in the Ash Park series by Meghan O’Flynn. This is a series set around police detective Edward Petrosky. Each book is written as a standalone and contains one complete story so can be read in any order. I have not read all the books in the series so far but have loved the ones that I have read and this one was no exception.
Meghan O’Flynn sure knows how to write a detailed, intricate storyline that has so many twists and turns and has you gripped from the very beginning and does not let you go. Composed is dark and gritty and I absolutely loved it. Petrosky is an old school detective and I love being inside his head and seeing just what goes through his mind, how he thinks through his cases and gets his ideas. One thing I loved about this book was the camaraderie between him and his partner Jackson. They are both so in tune with what the other is thinking and the banter between them is so entertaining.
In addition to the case that Petrosky is working on, I loved reading about his own personal demons that he is working through as this adds a great deal to the story and gives us more insight into his character.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing what Meghan O’Flynn has in store for Petrosky next.

Composed (An Ash Park Novel Book 8) by Meghan O’Flynn. This is one of my very favorite series and I love Meghan O'Flynn. I would suggest you read the books in order to be able to better understand the series. These books have caused me more than one nights sleep because once you begin them you don't want to put them down. Its the continuing story of Edward Petrosky who is a Detective that is just coming back from leave for a justified shooting. He has several demons he is continually fighting and staying sober is the most prominent one right now. This book is the same in the fact that there are multiple murders and he realizes he is probably dealing with another serial killer but when his only real friend/Chief of Police is kidnapped then all bets are off. He will move heaven and earth to save her and if not he will die trying. Edward has pushed every person in his life away dealing with things on his own but when the only person he really cares about it put in a life or death situation he will do what it takes to save her. Will Edward find the killer before its too late? Read Composed to find out you won't be disappointed!

These books are so fabulous that I am often at a loss of words for how to review them without giving away all those gritty and juicy details but I alway try because they are too good to miss out on. Composed is the 8th installment in the Ash Park novels and I would highly recommend that you read the books in order before diving in or you may be a lot lost. These books build and we have the steady character of Detective Petrosky that changes and grows as a person throughout. Like in the previous novels his own dark demons of his past will come to light in the present murder case he is trying to solve. He once again finds himself hot on the heels of a serial killer terrorizing the people of Ash Park. I won’t divulge more because that would be a disservice but I cannot recommend these books enough. If you love a dark twisted murder mystery these have it all and more! Prepare yourself time to completely devour the novel because if you are anything like me you will find yourself up well past bedtime to figure out how the book will end. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!

By Meghan O’Flynn
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Composed (An Ash Park Novel Book 8) by Meghan O’Flynn. It is the next amazing story in the Ash Park series that I have loved since I read the first book. It pulls you in and didn’t let me go until the final page. I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Edward Petrosky is back in action and ready to bring a killer to justice. Edward is a man who is haunted by the past. He trusts his instincts when on a case and is determined to stop the killings that are being committed. Will the killer be stopped? Read this book to find out. This story had me on the edge of my seat. It is suspenseful and keeps you guessing. I love how the author makes me feel like I am right there with the characters in their investigation trying to put all of the clues together. Both the storyline and the characters come alive on the page. Don’t miss out on an intriguing crime story that you won’t be able to put down. I highly recommend both the book and the series.

Whew!! Petrosky is back and with a bang. I love this guy, even as broken and messed up as he is I love him!

This case made me truly cringe and I'm thinking that is exactly what this author wanted. That part of the story is as usual everything you expect from this author, but the part that has me completely invested is Petrosky fighting his demons every minute of every day. It feels so real and I can almost feel his struggles within myself. This to me makes a good author a Phenomenal author. I never want this series to end and was so so happy to see a #9, but I must admit I can't wait for it to end so I can sit and read every one of them back to back all over again!

If you have not picked up any of these and you even kind of like this genre, you seriously must read this series. It is in a class of its own and this author can write like nobody's business and I would put her up against any of the big names you associate with this genre!

Loved It!!

This is the 8th book in the Ash Park series and just like the others are gripping from the beginning.the characters are so well written you can't help but feel the same emotions as they do. Even though this is the 8th book you can read it as a standalone as the characters are clear to understand however there are little flashbacks to previous books that may not make sense if you haven't read them. That being said they don't take anything away from this book or make it confusing.

We are back with Petrosky on the hunt for a killer. When a woman turns up dead and mutilated he fears this maybe a serial killer. He thinks his suspicious are confirmed when another woman turns up. Is this the same killer or a copycat?

With no leads to follow things take another twist when his boss is kidnapped. After helping Petrosky battle his demons this case now takes on a personal aspects. When he won't bend to the kidnappers demands its now a race against time to save the one person who cared for him.

Composed is already the eighth book in Meghan O’Flynn’s Ash Park series! My goodness, Meghan has given us by now eight twisted nail-biting mind blowing stories centred around Detective Edward Petrosky! The series grows grittier and darker with every single book so be prepared, Composed is definitely NOT for fainthearted ones and do start from the beginning, do not read this story as a standalone, you will be totally lost now knowing the backstory and not having have been part of the crazy ride that we have taken through the first seven books…
Detective Petrosky keeps battling his demons and in this eighth book he has to hunt down a cold blooded series killer. The stakes are even higher as the killer has taken his only ‘real’ friend (the Chief of Police) so he has no choice … the time is about to run out! I would not have thought that there is so much more to learn about his past but the writer managed to surprise me, I expected it to be a ‘simple’ Detective Petrosky’s next case but that is not at all the case …

These just keep getting better and better. The author does an amazing job bringing these characters and story to life. I can easily picture Petrosky in my head. His gruffness, how he speaks his mind no matter what and how grouchy he comes off but is a marshmallow with those he cares about. Even Jackson I am getting to like. Still missing Morrison but a female partner brings out a new side of Petrosky.

This one shocked and surprised me. This author has a knack of telling a story but never letting the reader “figure it out”. I love that. She easily draws me into the story with the perfect amount of suspense and familiarization. Even the smiles all due to Petrosky’s smart mouth. When he became fixated on a wasp nest and Decantor in here. I couldn’t help but smile....big!

Overall another outstanding story from Meghan O’Flynn. Filled with gritty, sadistic, sassy characters. I can’t wait for more.

I had to go and read Composed, An Ask Park Novel because I read all of the other books. Meghan O’Flynn does an amazing job grabbing me from page one until the last word. Her plotlines often mirror-like a roller coaster. It has twists and turns that keep you on your toes. It is very important that you keep your eyes and mind focused on the book. Meghan gives enough clues to see what is coming. I know I had to reread parts of the same page because I missed a clue. Her characters are important. They have very important roles in the book. I highly recommend you read the other stories first so that you will understand the character development. In this story, Petrosky is back and he is trying to find a killer. There may be a serial killer on the loose. Has Petrosky met his match? Will he find the killer and protect who he thinks is the next one to be killed? I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more.

When your demons come back to haunt you, can you put them aside to help find your only real friend?

Detective Edward Petrosky is on another dark, thrilling case against a psychophy who is determined to make Petrosky hurt when the killer decides to make this personal will Edward fight his own demons and solve the case and find his friend.

I love this series it's a dark crime mystery with loads of intrigue and twists and turns. The character of Edward is flawed but it seems like the flaws add dimensions to him which enhances the stories as they go through the series. In this book it delves more into his insecurities and the emotions of the personal element to this case as his friend the Chief of Police is kidnapped.

The story was well developed and a great page turner, it will have you up past midnight reading "just one more chapter". If you are looking for a great storyline, with suspense and mystery this is definitely the book for you.

An Ash Park Novel
Volume 8
By Meghan O’Flynn
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
This is by far an edge of your seat novel. Not for those under 18 due to strong adult content.

Petrosky is back for the 8th instalment. When I say he is back I mean don't mess with him or any of his friends. He has nothing to lose. He's partner is Jackson, she seems to keep things moving. She is also the calm before the storm. With that being said The Chief has been kidnapped and time is running out. Can Petrosky and Jackson stop the killer before it is too late?

Meghan O'Flynn has caught me again with my guard down. This book is so Intense and fast paced. I had a hard time putting it down. The more I read, I wanted to help out. Nothing has been left out in this mystery. You Knew every turn that was taken. I fell in love with Petrosky books ago. But this has to be my favorite. He played his character to perfection. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Such a riveting book! Composed is book number 8 in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. On this adventure, Petrosky has the opportunity to catch what he thinks just might be a serial killer and save his only friend at the same time. One woman turns up murdered and then a second one. Petrosky might He is also dealing with his own set of demons that seem to be more prevalent in this book. This book along with the others is a definite page turner. The storyline is quite dynamic and believable to the point that you think you are in the story. There are so many twists and turns that keep you engaged and involved in the book. Like I always say, you should start with the beginning of this series, but you don’t have to. You can read this as a standalone, but to truly understand this series you need to read this from the beginning. This series just keeps getting better and better. The characters get better and better. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

Composed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 8) by Meghan O'Flynn is darker, more twisted, more enthralling and compelling read than the others. Meghan knows her craft in this genre and isn’t afraid to put everything on the table to give the reader a compelling and spellbinding read. Just when you think she has out done herself with the last book you read, she manages to top it each and every time. You think you know what is coming but Meghan cleverly weaves her web in an entirely different way.
If you like something a little dark, something engrossing and something a little twistier than before, then Meghan is your girl.
Detective Ed Petrosky never thought he could become a monster but his demons and the job he does seem to make those demons just that little bit darker. Will he make it out the other side?

Composed by Meghan O’Flynn is the eighth book in the Ash Park series. This is quite a dark and thrilling series that really knows how to keep you coming back for more. I usually struggle a bit with a series when it starts getting into this number of books. However I have to say that this is my favourite book of the series so far. It really felt like you were getting to see even more into the main character than previously which is impressive for so far down the line.
I loved the story line to this book as well. It felt gritty and exciting. I was hooked almost instantly. It was full of suspense and intrigue, and that was before the chief of police was abducted. The really felt like the pages were just turning themselves and I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen.
This is a brilliant book and an amazing series. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Composed: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O'Flynn is the eighth book in the An Ash Park novel series. Let me tell you that I highly recommend starting at the beginning of the series because it helps to have all the background and info concerning Detective Edward Petrosky. This character is great because he is not perfect but flawed and but still an amazing detective. This series is dark, gritty, and full of suspense and this book doesn't let the reader down. I will not reveal the plot but just know it was hard to tear myself away while reading. This explores the dark minds of people who are working to help us and those out to hurt us. I enjoy the level of description and the development of the characters. The stories keep getting better and better. I look forward to reading more from Meghan O'Flynn in the future.

The characters are complex and easy to connect with. The author is great at pinning down even the smallest details which I appreciate greatly. Excited to see where this author takes readers next. Composed: An Ash Park Novel is the 8th book in Meghan O'Flynn's Ash Park series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone book. I have read others, but not the whole series. This book is a wonderfully written crime mystery suspense book. It follows Detective Petrosky as he recently returned to work after an officer involved shooting. He is hunting a serial killer this time, and struggles with flashbacks from his last case. I love reading about the case and seeing it unfold. As they try to profile their killer, and track down the location the victims are being kept. The book gets pretty graphic at times, so reader discretion advised. I love this series and highly recommend. Think of it as a book of Law and Order SVU.

Yet again I was brought into the world of Petrosky and the evil that resides in it. I was once again right along side him as he not only investigates the crime but also battles his own demons along the way. I was not disappointed. Although I do have to admit this is not one of my go to genres but I was definitely hooked and each book just gets better and better.

Petrosky has a lot of inner demons he is battling and I like how this helps to form his character but doesn't distract from the main story. The author has quite a unique style and if you are into serious crime and thrillers then this is definitely the book and series for you. I will definitely be reading more from this author in future.

This is probably one of my favorite series to read as it keeps you hooked until the last sentence and you can’t help but sit on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book. However, you should read every book in this series to ensure you understand what has happened. Detective Edward Petrosky is back with a bang and ready to start bringing justice while trying to save the Captains life. Can he beat his demons? Will they catch the killer? This author has a way of writing, so you feel like you know what’s about to happen and then throws you for a loop. Highly recommend this series as you wont be disappointed

This book is mystery, suspenseful, and action-packed. I am a huge fan of the author’s as the descriptions take hold of you and don’t loosen its grip. You follow Petrovsky in this book that seems like a twisted horror movie. As the detectives lead you down the race to save their captain, your head will be spinning just as much as theirs do in this thriller. The author knows how to string the reader along to seek justice for the victims as much as partners Jackson and Petrovsky. I love how original every book in this series is and as a fan of criminal stories, this one had me hooked from the first chapter. Great and heroic characters with a great balance of action along the way.

I bow down to the almighty pen wielded by O’Flynn. She is so extremely gifted. The stories that she puts in your hands... if you are craving an amazing story, filled with twists and turns, and then some more, criminal minds, mayhem and murder - RUN and pick up this latest treasure. Each book stands on its own well but I will tell you now, you will want every single book O’Flynn has written. I was left breathless with every page and simply couldn’t put it down until I finished reading. Haunting, suspense-filled - I simply loved it. I can not recommend it more highly. Five stars doesn’t do it justice.
