It's hard to play guitar for many years and not know a few things about actually maintaining a guitar. But, as with anything, there will be a few blind spots in your knowledge. I had a few of those myself, and there was much to learn from this book. For example, restringing a guitar is something I should have mastered by now, but I learned how to do it better from this book. There is always room for improvement even with the most seemingly basic things. My only complaint about the book is that it doesn't feel like a finished product, more like if you printed off the content of a web page. There are a few typos, grammatical errors, or presentation oddities that slipped through the cracks, although nothing that would ever keep you from understanding what is being said. Overall, this is a highly useful reference for anyone with guitars. I know I will be cracking it open in the future any time I do a setup.
