James Lee Lindsey Jr., better known by the stage name Jay Reatard, was an American musician based in Memphis, Tennessee. Lindsey was signed to Matador Records, and recorded songs in punk, synth punk, power pop, and straightforward rock & roll. He released recordings as a member of the bands 'Reatards' and 'Lost Sounds', as well as working as a solo artist.
