Iris and the Secret Library

Rate this book
This is the second book of a new story in the Bright Hall universe. Iris is an awkward geeky woman who gives up on her parents plans and strikes out on her own when she decides to go to graduate school. Her plans fall apart when she loses her funding. Forced by circumstances into taking a job at the Bright Hall Academy library, she is surprised to find her life becoming sexually charged in a way she never expected.

In the second book, she discovers a book called Stories from the Secret Library in the special collection room. Reading it opens up an entirely new world to Iris - a world based in ancient Chinese tales, of strange creatures, ominous portents, and, of course, wild and unrestrained sexual desire.

After returning to the world of Bright Hall, Iris discovers more about Cynthia and Deborah, and a little bit more about the nature of the school itself.

All that she is learning is expanding her mind and experience, but she is still ignorant of the nature of the Stories from the Secret Library, and ignorant of the very real danger that is lurking just beyond the margins.

These books are a story-first tale of romance and sexual delight. This second book includes much more explicit sexual bliss, with erotic scenes between a man and a woman as well as a women only scene, with much more to come!

I'm just a silly 書癡 who had a funny idea for a story. The New Principal has blown up bigger than I had hoped, and I am so very grateful for the kind words, comments and messages. I read everything you send through emails and comments. I'm so happy to have such a great bunch of readers.

Our heroine continues to delve into the secret collection while also making friends on campus. One of these is going to get her into trouble.

This is book two of this spin off series. It stands pretty well on its own, but you will be missing our heroine's backstory.

This is an erotic story with supernatural elements to it. The story is well written and easy to read, with an interesting setting that we learned about in the original series. But if you have not read the original series, don't worry as all the essential bits are being introduced over time. Our heroine is well developed and growing with the series. The rest of the characters are a bit mysterious right now, but we are (re)discovering them as our heroine gets to know them, which works really well. There is also a bit of a mystery to this series and we are beginning to get bits of it here. Our heroine is also discovering herself and we get lots of steamy material as part of that. Overall, a very fun and engaging series and I look forward to the next book.

Highly recommended.

This is the second installment in the Secret Library series. It continues the slow burn started in the first installment but raises the heat level considerably and introduces level of symbiosis between Iris and other characters in the story, real and imagined. Iris gets a couple of encounters in the episode. In the first, there's a very nicely written transition from Iris's reading a story to inhabiting one of the characters which leaves you (and her) wondering if it was just a dream. The second takes the heat level to a full boil with no doubts about its veracity, leaving participants and readers satisfied, yet still looking for more.

Things certainly heats up for Iris in this new installment. It picks up with Iris going to lunch with Principal Lee. She has a couple unexplainable erotic occurrences throughout the day that just ramp her up for the following days. It all comes to a head when she’s invited to the spa to talk to the Xu twins about the Dionysius club. She finally embraces her sexual desires and gets up to naught fun with the twins. I enjoyed the short read as it’s really picking up Iris’s adventures I. The school. Can’t wait to see if she takes it further with the Principal and Ms. Rai.

This book starts off continuing the story from Iris and the Library. But I have to warn you, this book takes hot to a whole new level. This is not to say that it is all steam. We see glimpses of a developing story and I am anxious to continue in the story. The Secret Library has many more books to catalog and Iris is just the right person to do it.

So the book scene may be one of the hottest scenes Daizi has written. It's damn good stuff. The book is taking it's time in a way in drawing out expectations and it's almost painful (in a good way) wanting to get to the next step so you can figure things out. Great writing, need more
