Matt Armstrong is a man of mystery. Ex-Special Forces, he has spent the last 7 years living almost as a nomad .... few months here, a few months there ... and always under an assumed name.

Matt receives a message stating that his sister has been killed. When he returns home, his mother doesn't want to speak of her only daughter and his older brother wants him to hunt down the killer. Because of her chosen profession, the police don't seem too interested in investigating.

Matt doesn't find any clues, no leads, evidently there was no DNA to speak of, no fingerprints...and no real motive except for her lifestyle. One of her clients perhaps? Or a random killing?

He's bewildered until he accidentally comes across a clue .. something that will lead him in a totally different direction. Helped by an old girlfriend, the two of them follow a trail that leads to nowhere ... until an anonymous tip is thrown his way.

Matt is a tormented soul and vows to find the man...or men.. behind the killing of his sister.

This is a well written crime fiction with suspense starting on the very first page and holding steady until the very last. The twists and turns will leave a sensation in the reader's chest that makes you wonder how your heart can beat so fast and so hard, yet remain intact. Skillfully drawn characters and their actions within these pages will lead to nail-biting and forgetting to breathe.

Many thanks to the author / Bloodhound Books for the digital copy of this crime thriller. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

UNTRACEABLE is a crime thriller by Jake Cross.

Matt Armstrong aka Peter Jackson learns his sister, Karen had been murdered. It has taken seven years, but finally it had happened. He received a text message from an old army buddy, who was returning a favor, by keeping tabs on Matt’s family, and letting him know if anything bad happened to them.

He had to go back and contact the family and go to the funeral, but most of all find out what had happened.
When Matt returns home he is greeted by his mum and his older brother, Danny, a wannabe rock star who now enjoys a comfortable lifestyle.

The body had been found outside; an inquest ordered…his sister had been murdered…strangled!

Everyone assumed she had been a prostitute, based on the area that she had been found.

Had a client killed her?

Matt, the tough army boy would find out what had happened.

Helped by his ex-girlfriend, Lisa, he follows a trail of clues until the investigation grinds to a halt. On the verge of giving up, an anonymous tip is thrown his way which blows the mystery wide open.

Can Matt solve the murder and get justice?

Untraceable is a well written crime fiction novel that is sure to please, with a solid plot and gripping well-developed characters totaling involving the reader in solving the mystery.

Many thanks to the author and Bloodhound Books for my digital copy.
