Jasmine is a fashion designer who wants her own design house, if she can just save up enough to quit her job at Dallaire Designs. Working on the wedding for a famous popstar could be a big step towards achieving that, especially with the time and half pay she'll get working the week before the wedding. When the insecure popstar suddenly decides that no one working on the wedding can be single, Jasmine blurts out that she's engaged!! She's not even dating anyone, where's she going to get a fake fiance in a few days?

Isaac's best friend, and Jasmine's brother, Quincy, recently died in a rock climbing accident. Isaac blames himself and has completely avoided all contact with Jasmine since the funeral. He's a fourth-year surgical resident working every shift he can get since he switched from plastic surgery to general surgery. He's trying to get a prestigious general surgery fellowship that Quincy was excited about. What's he going to do when he finds out he's Jasmine's fake fiance?

Poor Jasmine, I can't imagine working under the conditions she had to work with. A temperamental bridezilla topped off with a slightly jealous, passive-aggressive boss. No thanks. Jasmine was a super hard worker who went without enough sleep or food to get things accomplished. I wondered if or when she and Isaac would've worked through their issue (Quincy's death) if they hadn't had to pose as an engaged couple for a week? It made them spend time together, which Isaac had been avoiding. They had quite the rocky start as an engaged couple and at the beginning I wondered if they'd be able to pull it off.

I think my favorite part was when Jasmine had to work furiously to remake a bridesmaid dress (thank goodness it wasn't her fault) and Isaac brought her a bag of snacks to make sure she ate, and stood up for Jasmine with her boss. How sweet! I was happy when Isaac finally figured out he couldn't live Quincy's life for him and finally let go of the guilt he'd been holding onto.

This is the last book in the No Match for Love series. I received a complimentary copy. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Wow, the last book in the series! I can't believe it. But it was a great one to finish it all off. And the design aspects were fabulous. I really want to see the wedding veil that Skye was dreaming up for her wedding. ;-) So a question for the author...do you have any sketches that were your inspiration for that interesting veil? Or the bridesmaid dresses?

Jasmine was a spunky character and was great at navigating the twists and turns and emotions that life has thrown at her. Even when it means throwing out that she's engaged to her boss and a pop star! Ha! I giggled wondering how she was going to get herself out of her current predicament. Of course I figured that her brother's best friend (and her friend) would be the solution. I held my breath a couple times worried about a couple scenes when Isaac and Jasmine were supposed to be "engaged" and they sure weren't acting like it. Funny! And then there were those moments when they were definitely acting engaged and the walls and barriers they put up to protect their hurting hearts started to crumble and fall. Oh my!

Isaac was a charmer. But a sincere charmer who wasn't purposefully trying to charm anyone but just being himself. He's full of guilt and unable to see what he truly wants until he almost loses it. And his wake up call was full of sparks.

There were humorous moments and sweet moments. And on the flip side there were cringe worthy moments (certain characters that I didn't like...or rather A character). But I loved it all. I loved Jasmine's honesty and refreshing spirit. She was hurt but allowed her heart to let go of that hurt and heal. Her healing and love helped others in the book as well.

Even though it's the last book, there are so many great books in the story to go back and reread and enjoy. Or pick up for the first time if you haven't read any of them. This one can be read as a stand alone as can most all of the books in this series. I'm looking forward to what's next from this talented author who is one of my favorites!

Content: Clean. There are some kisses but nothing further. There is a side character who you only see a couple times who is caught in a situation with a girl. It isn't graphic, you just know they were together.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Jasmine and Isaac were good friends - heading for more - when Jasmine's brother Quincy, Isaac's best friend, died following a fall while rock-climbing with Isaac. Distraught, Jasmine initially blames Isaac, as a doctor, for not having kept Quincy alive, and the feeling that she is right causes Isaac to pull away. But when Jasmine's work as a dress designer suddenly requires her to be engaged, the only name that she can think of on the spot is Isaac. He is reluctant to get involved but agrees when he realises that it will give him a second chance at the fellowship he's applied for and been turned down - the fellowship that was Quincy's dream and which he now feels he needs to get before he can face Jasmine again. But their time together doesn't go quite as expected. Each is battling for their own career as if it's the only thing that matters - but is it really?

I couldn't stand working in that sort of environment! Nevertheless, though I could in no way understand Jasmine's drive with work, I enjoyed seeing their relationship unfold, and the honesty that's been lacking between them in the past gradually appearing. Isaac's working through his grief was touching too. A good combination of laughter and more tender moments, with a satisfying ending. Clean and well written, a good light read that still has some substance to it.

Note that I received an ARC from the author. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Mismatched.

Jasmine is a 21 year old wannabe fashion designer.
She’s far too frivolous for Isaac, a fourth year resident.

Isaac is well developed and mature and grappling with the death of his BF during a rock climbing fall and subsequent lack of medical care in the field and his mother’s cancer.

I liked Isaac and his dilemmas but it felt so juxtaposed in comparison to the flighty Jasmine.

Jasmine left college to pursue an internship at a prestigious design house. Her gamble paid off and now she has a budding career and is even working on her first high profile wedding. She’s about to spend a week with the bridal party on a private island in Florida, earning time and a half pay that will put her closer than ever to her dream of opening her own label. That’s all jeopardized when the would-be bride catches her fiancé attempting to flirt with Jasmine and decrees that no single women be allowed on the island at all. Jasmine is determined to go so she blurts out that she is, in fact, engaged, although the man she’d want to be with hasn’t even spoken to her in two months.

Dr. Isaac Sloan is still battling guilt since his best friend, and Jasmine’s brother, fell in a terrible rock-climbing accident and Isaac was unable to save him. Isaac decides Jasmine is better off without him, not wanting to remind her of her grief, so he avoids her, up until he bumps into her at a coffee shop, and she introduces him to her client and her boss as her fiancé.

Isaac is still not ready to come to terms with his grief and guilt, but he also can’t turn his back on Jasmine when she needs him. He already has two weeks of forced time off from work, so he has no reason not to accompany her on the trip, but as they put on a show of affection for the others, their feelings become very real. They just have to determine if these new feelings are strong enough to overcome their individual pain.

This was a fun story at times, but at others it was heart-wrenching given the grief both main characters were going through, and the survivor’s guilt Isaac was experiencing. The lack of steam here wasn’t necessarily a problem, but I think it would’ve improved the story by making the main characters’ connection more believable. As it stands, Isaac and Jasmine had a history as friends through his friendship with her older brother, but their friendship just with each other was tentative and there wasn’t enough foundation there for me to really consider this a second chance romance. Jasmine was very snappy with Isaac at first while he remained cold and aloof. Given the hectic work schedule Jasmine had during the wedding week when they were away together, she and Isaac didn’t have much page time together at all, with their conversations occurring only in brief snatches when neither was busy with other things. Because of this, I never felt much depth or real connection between these two, and the relationship’s conversion from fake to real seemed a bit abrupt. I enjoyed the story overall, but I still never felt the real romantic connection between Isaac and Jasmine even at the end.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an audio advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

And so the series ends...with a great story about characters who had at least been mentioned in previous books: Jasmine and Isaac. The best part about this series is the fact that not everything has been sunshine, roses, and unicorns. There has been plenty of laughter and kisses, but heartache has been dealt with as well. I've enjoyed each couple's story in this series very much.

This was just a good, sweet book that kept me up most of the night because it was an easy read and I didn’t want to stop. It’s the perfect time to read something with good story line, no use of the “f” bomb and no sex.

The story is about a young designer, Jaszmine, who wants to keep her job for the time until she’s able to open her own place. It happens that a music performer, Skye, is a client who wants something one time and then changes it many times more. Skye is what you would call a bridezilla!. Besides working long hours at the design studio, she misses her brother Quincy and since his death has had no contact from his best friend, Isacc. They were a trio that unfortunately lost a great guy after a hiking accident. Part of that trio was Dr. Issac Sloan in his 4th year of residency. He was going through a lot as well since his best friend, Quincy, died and he couldn’t save him and he pushed Jasmine aside thinking it would be too difficult to be friends. As the story goes, Jazmine has the opportunity to do Skye’s wedding, which would be a great opportunity financially and for her career but Skye wants only engaged women so Jasmine states she is engaged. Not true. Working such long hours one the dresses, she has no idea how to come up with a fiance. One day walking out of the studio she literally bumps into Issac. So all fun begins with Jasmine and her career and Isaac to get over his demons and decide what he really wants to practice in medicine. Then the story goes on and it’s wonderful. It’s a story you know the ending but reading from the start is great and as an added bonus, Dr.Isaac Sloan sounds dreamy and a person you would want to spend time with!

Jasmine and Isaac were best friends and then she lost her brother and Isaac blamed himself for not being able to save his life and they stopped communicating. Jasmine had left college to work for a dress designer as a protege and learn what she could. Jasmine's boss had taken on the wedding designs of her friend Skye and after they had got started Skye desided she like Jasmine's designs for her bridesmaids instead of the owners. Everything started to fall apart right up till the wedding when Jasmine found the groom in bed with a bridesmaid and told the bride. The wedding got called off and Jasmine's fake engagement to her best friend Doctor Isaac and then all of a sudden everything fell into place and Jasmine and Isaac left the island a couple. This was a very intriguing book on love and destruction as well as deception by the groom. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

I loved this trope. Started out as best friend's little sister, then best friend, enemies and finally lovers. Oh, and the fake relationship trope. Jasmine and Isaac sure had a lot to work out, but man did they work well when they decided to work together. This was a sweet story with all the feels. I laughed, cried, was angry, frustrated and incredibly happy. This was a good book.

Rcvd and advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. We meet designer Jasmine who is working for a prestigious designer on a celebrity wedding. She gets to spend a week on an island in the Florida Keys helping with the dresses. It doesn't help that he boss is mad the bride chose her design for the bridesmade dresses. When Jas meets the footballer groom, she's not surprised he made a pass at her and when the bride goes hysterical saying no single women at the wedding, Jasmines boss tell her she can't go but then blurts out she has a fiance. What a picklet jasmine has got herself into. We meet resident doctor Issac who is still reeling from losing his mom to cancer and his best friend to a mountain climbing accident. He can face Jasmine and he's been ignoring her for the past 2 months. He needs this fellowship in Texas to make things right. It was Quincys dream (aka Jas bro). But fate has intervened...he literally runs ibto Jasmine outside a coffee show where she introduces him as her fiance....what?!? Jas can't believe its him...and then proceeds to tell him her dilemma. What's a guy to do? But when he learns who the brides dad is, he can't turn her down. Will they made up for lost time? Will Jasmine forgive Issac for running after her brothers death? So many unanswered questions to deal with on an island no less.

Jasmine and Isaacs book.
Jasmine is making the bridesmaids dresses for the IT wedding - Skye and Drew. QB and superstar singer getting married. The exposure alone could help her start her own design studio. If she can only survive Sky's bridezilla ways, Genieve's passive aggressive ways because the bride chose her design and the groom's creeping ways.
On top of this stress Isaac, her best friend, has ghosted her since her brother's death. How much more can a girl take?
When the bride decides no single females can come to the wedding because her groom is a car, Jasmine quickly says she's engaged and Isaac is her fiance.
Isaac is still reeling from his mother's death and his best friend's death within months of each other. He has ghosted Jasmine because he couldn't save her brother and he is a doctor!
When they accidentally bump into each other and everyone thinks he is her fiance the story begins.
As these two go to the wedding together they start to rebuild what they lost. She needs to forgive him for ghosting her. He needs to forgive himself.
The wedding is a funny backdrop. If something can go wrong it does.
A sweet romance.

This story was full of wedding dress designs as a pop star and quarterback plan their wedding together on a beach in Isla del Amor. There was a lot of drama between the pop star, her bridesmaids, the dress designers , and a sexy surgeon that made the story a page turner. You never knew what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the two main characters of Jasmine and Drew, who had each lost someone dear to them. Quincy was Jasmine's brother and he was also Drew's best friend It was so interesting to see if their friendship would be able to survive their loss or if they could pursue their feelings for each other. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Romance, clean, contemporary; series but stand alone read
Jasmine and Isaac's story had some fun characters, and interesting back story. A complex situation and desire to do her best has Jasmine telling a white lie to go to work a celebrity wedding and complete dress designs that she designed for a couture house. The setting, gorgeous, side characters not as strong as some reads. Still a cute escape read. The stress of her job, Isaac's guilt and his desire to do right by her brother who passed, so many great situations, funny and romantic moments as Isaac and Jasmine realize that they are much more than friends. Cute, light romance. Medical back ground and destination wedding were a fun setting.
I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. My opinions are my own.

What a wonderful romance deftly crafted by Ms Armstrong! I could literally feel the tension while Jasmine was under a tight schedule to create and sew up her design for bridesmaids dresses. Losing sleep almost seemed the norm for her. Plus, it didn’t help that her boss was a difficult person to work for. Factor in the bridezilla named Skye who was a famous pop star and you have a recipe for a potential meltdown. However, Ms Lindzee being the talented writer that she is, manages to turn everything around and create a wonderful epilogue tying everything up in a nice little bow. That’s not to mention the wonderful HEA in this romance. Oh, did I not mention the guy in this tale? He was wonderful of course albeit the figurative knock upside the head to get him there. You have got to read this. You will love it.

🌴Sweet, clean romance develops from a bit of deceit!😉

💗4.5🌟stars
This story has a good plot and really likable lead characters. Their connection through Jasmine's brother Quincy who was also Isaac's best friend, crashes when Quincy dies before Isaac's eyes. But Jasmine's ambitions as a dress designer for a high profile bridezilla's wedding party lead to some quick-thinking deceit and the two are reunited. Both have some major career issues to work out; I found that enhanced the romance side of the story.

There's enough grief in the leads and variety in the supporting characters to keep their story compelling. This was a sweet story that I thoroughly enjoyed, right down to the bridezilla's chaotic wedding day. And the epilogue was just the right touch: a brief, happy peek into the future.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review and the opinions expressed are my own.

Jasmine is a junior designer at a high end design company. She is asked to participate in a celebrity wedding. It's her chance to prove herself and she is so excited. When the groom flirts with a single girl, the bride announces that no single women will be allowed to go to the wedding on an island off the FL Keys.

Jasmine invents a fake fiancé so she won't miss her chance to really shine.

Isaac and Jasmine have known each other for years. They had become best friends until Jasmine's brother, Quincy was killed in a climbing accident. Isaac feels that it's all his fault. He should have been able to save Quincy.

There are characters that you will love and those you will hate. Such a good book that delves into the fashion industry. Jasmine's boss is not pleasant. The bride is a bridezilla. Drama everywhere, but the calming presence of Isaac is exactly what Jasmine needs. And, Isaac needs Jasmine to get over his survivor's guilt. Such a wonderful read.

Sweet Fake Engagement Romance

I was really excited to read Jasmine’s story after she was introduced in her brother’s, Mitch, story. Jasmine recently lost her other brother to an accident. He was in the military and a doctor (resident). Her brother’s best friend, Isaac, also went to medical school and was there when he is best friend died. Isaac was so distraught he changed his focus and stopped contacting Jasmine, who he was developing less than brother-sister feelings toward, feeling he was to blame for her brother’s death. Jasmine gets put in a difficult place with Skye (introduced in other books in the series) and her own boss and has to quickly invent a fiancé so she can get the overtime pay and experience preparing for a wedding. She runs into Isaac with her boss and others she had to tell very soon after naming him as her fiancé and what follows is a whirlwind story.

This was a fun and easy read. Great book.

I don't know how Jasmine could do her job working so many hours for an ungrateful boss and demanding selfish clients. Skye and most of her wedding party were annoying with their attitudes and the changes she kept making to the dress designs. The only redeeming one was Amber. Jasmine and Isaac were forced into a fake relationship by Skye' jealously over her cheating lecherous fiance. Drew was a self centered playboy in Match Me if You Can and I have no idea what Skye saw in him. Isaac kept beating himself up over not being able to save Jasmine's brother and his best friend Quincy's life. He decides to give up his dream and follow Quincy's as a way to atone. Even though Jasmine and Isaac were friends for years their relationship during this trip had an instant love feel to it.

This series of books by Lindzee Armstrong are books that always give me the idea from the cover that there's not going to be much to them, or that they will be "fluff". Nothing could be further from the truth with Matched by Design. Ms. Armstrong takes us into the world and the pressures of the design industry without pulling any punches. Part of the plot involves death and survivor's guilt, but there is certainly enough levity and romance included in this book to make it an enjoyable read. There are the characters of the boss lady and the bridezilla that you would gladly slap upside the head, but also characters that you really find yourself rooting for. Great balance in a very enjoyable book!

This is a sweet, very engaging second chance romance with lots of laughter, and touching moments that pull at your heartstrings. The death of her brother was a blow to both Jasmine and his best friend, Isaac. His feelings of guilt have led to him distance himself from Jasmine, but Isaac can’t refuse to come her rescue when she needs a fake fiancé in order to secure the business opportunity that could establish her as a top designer. They begin to rebuild their connection, a connection that fosters forgiveness and lasting love. The antics and details surrounding the wedding of her client are hilarious and will leave you in gales of laughter. Truly an enjoyable and delightful book!

Wow! I have only read a couple of these books by Lindzee Armstrong and the storyline in this one is catching, gripping, whatever word you want to use. There was TONS of estrogen in this book and a bridezella that was off the charts! Add in a huge masculine bridegroom ego and the demanding and unappreciative designer boss and the couple in this story take on HERO status for this delightful read, which it was at the end! I was exhausted just reading some of the situations that transpired. No problem reading this as a stand alone. Great job Ms. Armstrong!

I received an ARC copy of this book. This is my voluntary, honest completely personal review.

What another fun book in the No Match series. This is Jasmine and Isaac’s story. They have a mutual loss. Her brother, his best friend. Isaac wants to do right by Jasmine and changes his future in order to do that. Thinking this is what is best. Jasmine is a designer who is struggling not only at work but with the loss of two important people in her life. In the hopes for a promotion, Jasmine makes up a story about her and Isaac. And because of this little lie, it brings the two of them closer. Isaac starts to doubt his change of plans. Are these two destined to be together? Even though this is 12th book in the series, they can all be read as stand alone’s. This is another must read.

This is the last book of a series, but also a standalone. It's a clean romance with a lot of extremes. Everything that can go wrong does and the unrelenting boss, the bridezilla superstar, and the playboy fiancé are all heightened characters. If you find the fashion industry interesting then you'll enjoy all the details that take you into this world. I felt that there weren’t enough feel-good moments between Jasmine and Isaac. Too much was spent on dealing with the stress of her job and his future prospects. The ending doesn’t quite play out how you would expect and I won’t say more to keep that a surprise.

As well as her previous books, this one could tie me up again. The story is very emotional and hits right into the heart. The book is well written with complex characters.

You’ll love Jasmine the fashion designer and Isaac a surgeon with all their little mistakes, doubts and uncertainties.

I recommend this book. So go ahead, grab the book and enjoy your readingtime as much as I did.

This was great in that this couple started as good friends but a tragedy pulled them apart. When Jasmine needs a fake fiance, Isaac is the first person she thinks of. But will he agree and can she forgive him for his silence when she needed him most? Jas has so much going on with a snarky boss, a bridezilla, getting dresses ready for the wedding and her deep feelings for Isaac. This is one adventure she did not need but in order to make it in the fashion world she must persevere and hope everything works out. I am voluntarily reviewing a complimentary copy.

A good clean romance about Isaac, resident doctor who couldn't save his best friend after a cliff fall and plans to live out his best friend's dream; and Jasmine, is best friend's little sister, who is a fashion designer which has gotten close to Isaac before the death of her brother. Now he lives with the guilt and has ghosted Jasmine until they run into each other. Did she call him her fiancé?
I enjoyed this story as we see if Isaac will live his dream or someone else's. Will he forfeit Jasmine's love for it? I would highly recommend this book.

I feel like I’ve been waiting almost a year for this story. I loved the fashion design element to it. It had some Devil Wears Prada kind of characters and the Bridezilla. I enjoyed the story. The chemistry between Isaac and Jasmine even when they were upset with each other couldn't be ignored and they finally decided to give a relationship a go. Sweet story, lots of things to love. Except for the creepy groom to be Drew of course.
Rating: PG-13, there is a couple caught in the act of cheating. Not a lot of details given but enough tangled sheets to know what is going on
