We get to find out a bit more about Blade, Hickock and Geronimo, and that the Home has been being watched by, appropriately enough, "The Watchers." Lots of action, new stuff in the post-apocalyptic world. Enjoyable read.

Betyg: 5/10

Entertaining little series. Not the most epic of story telling but the prose is solid and economical. It seems the author is developing each character slowly over the arch of the series rather than devoting too much to it early on. Since this is free from my library, I give it 4 stars. If I had to pay, 3 stars. :)

- My Description -
This one begins where the last book, Fox Run left off.

- My Review -
This book has everything: drama, comedy, horror even romance.
I love this series. This needs to be made into a TV series.

I'll be reading Twin Cities Run next, book 3.
Hopefully they make it The Twin cities...

A pulp series that I read through junior high and high school. Even then, I knew it was a formulaic series, but it was fun to read and having found them recently in a box from my parents' house, I am thinking of reading them again.

Edit: Re-reading the series. June 11 2010. Add homophobia to Robbins' list of faults. Also - some ridiculous racial moments in this one.

Ignored, though, the series really starts out with a good slow-burning-fuse. There's a good bit of mystery and action in this one and I can easily see how teenaged me got sucked into the series so deeply.

Book two picks up from book one in a big way. The triad returns to "The Home" to rest up from their battle with the trolls. They head out to the Twin Cities, but yet again they hit a snag in Thief River Falls. The Watchers are in control of the town and box the warriors in. A battle to the end ensues.

This book was much better than the first in the series. More action this time around. The characters are starting to round out. This series seems to be clicking together nicely. Book three should be good.
