Some things are worth fighting for.

Riley's life is better than it's ever been before. She has the love of her life, a family made from those she cares about, an adorable "little" rescue dog, and even her horse business is doing pretty good. Everything is great. Everything is wonderful. At least on the surface.

But an online hate group has her in their crosshairs. She's made a fool of them too many times, and now they're out for blood. The literal kind, not the virtual stuff. When they say they want to "frag" her, they aren't talking about online kills in a video game. Now, the threats have moved to real life – with real guns.

While she has an army of friends willing to fight beside her, she wasn't ready for this. She'd prepared for some bullying. Maybe a few more embarrassing stories to come out. But this?

Real people are being hurt. People she cares about might be next. Picking a fight online is one thing, but is her need to prove that women deserve respect really worth taking a risk this big?

Someone's going to get hurt.
And she's terrified it won't be her.

The Gamer Girls series features strong women and the men who love them. Knowledge about gaming and/or gamer culture is not necessary to enjoy this story. Graphic language and situations that are suitable for a mature audience are included. FRAGGED is a standalone novel which moves forward a larger story.

TRIGGER discussions of gun violence, bullying, cyber harassment, stalking, slut-shaming, and more. This is a love story, but finding love isn't always easy.

I love the Gamer Girls series. I like that there is a series about a group of gamers, and the girls are into the tech as much as the guys. I love that the girls do stuff they love. And because I'm a science nerd, I enjoy a different picture of women which is drawn here.

I really enjoyed how Riley and Kitty build their own family of flawed persons. They fit and they are good people.

I highly recommend this series and I'm sure I will enjoy the other three books in this series. Auryn and Kitty capture me with their writing style.

Edit 2024:
I felt like rereading Gamer Girls. I really forgot, how long this books are but they are so worth it. I love this series.

Mini-Review:

I was a little surprised to see that #4 was returning the focus to Riley, but it made sense. I loved the 1/3 of the story because it felt like a good continuation of the series & plot. The rest of the book? While small chunks were great and the overall message is cool, the story stopped being a romance. Heck, this one didn't even try to be a romance novel. It is a story about friends, family & love but it's not a romance about two people falling in love.

Here's the thing, as a story? This book was not satisfying because the plot, action sequences and lectures were not well done. When you write a story, you have to decide what you're writing about and how to get that done. The first book did a great job of balancing a romance with messages. The rest of the books come across as happy lectures.

If you want a happy story about acceptance and caring, this series is great. For me, it's a little too heavy handed about themes vs the story being told. I'm a bit bummed because I want the same mix of great characters, romance, mostly believable plot and strong themes in each book. It's not an impossible task but it can be tricky to pull off if the core reason for what you are writing changes.

I really love the messages but I didn't enjoy reading about them back to back with very little conflict (internal/external) and transitions for the issues to be faced and handled. It made the message cheesy or story unbelievable. I want a successful expression of the core ideas and that didn't come across to me. Hence, bummed but still loving the characters involved.

Cheers For:
- Family is not just blood related but chosen.
- Sexuality is whatever you want it to be.
- Acceptance does not have rules. You either do or don't.
- Be True to Self & Others

I highly recommend you read this series ! Or any of Auryns book !

Giving it 5 freaking stars , wish I could give it more

I love love Riley!

This book has made me laugh and cry.
This book starts a few months after Rileys first book , and of course trouble is still brewing because of the Kog. We get to know more about Cyn ! He is one hell of a guy and I can't wait for his book next ! That one , be still my heart, I love Logan he is one hell of a guy but the broken and damaged men just do something for me.

But what stood out for me were the family moments. Knock , Riley , Logan and Kitty.

I will not say what happends but Riley damn she is one hell of a sister and her talks with Knock made me cry.

The hotel scene ,that one 😭.

The Dinner table scene made me laugh so hard ! Kitty is a genius, and Knock and Logans moment you all know what I am talking about 🤣 , phew I cried so hard laughing. I dont mind watching with them too 😋

Kitty and Riley are still a great team , and some changes are happening and I can also not wait for that one!

All in All Miss Hadley and miss Cox wrote another incredible story!

Dangerous, but sweet, too.

This story is getting darker and more disturbing, but I love it.

How do you fight hackers who are taking their form of punishment into the real world? This series shows what cyber terrorism against women in gaming feels like. It's scary. This book takes it to the next level and of feels like something really awful is coming in the next book.

Despite the terror in this, there's this incredible story about misfits coming together to create a family and it's the sweetest thing. I think a lot of people on the other side of these screens might be lonely in real life, so when these characters find acceptance and love in their games and in reality, it gives me a warm feeling that I can't describe very well. It's just good, you know?

Anyway, I loved this book and am loving this story. On to the next book!

I absolutely ADORE this series. I’m not a gamer as I’ve said before but being inside this world makes me want to be, even though I’m in my 40’s. My kids suddenly think their mum is cool as I find myself slipping in gamer lingo and watching their heads turn like an owls wondering how their mum knows so much lol, if only they knew!

I love the strength of the girls in this series, despite everything they are up against they have big balls and don’t take no shot from anyone. Yes, the men are bewitched by them, but I personally am enjoying seeing tough men brought to their knees when the right woman comes along. I can’t get enough of this unconventional “family” and I cannot wait to see where this series goes going forward. I’m hoping they don’t stop at the planned 6 books.

We have circled back to Riley. Or at least that's what I thought. This story gives us a peek at several other characters that are dealing with their own struggles. This is probably the most woke of all the books so far. All the hot topics are in it, abortion, gun violence, race issues, lgbt issues, sexism (that's the entire basis of this series, slut shaming, family values, religion, sure there is more.

I can't tell you how many times I had to pause and just say DAMN...

I love this entire series but this one book could probably be made into a movie and win some awards like it's that damn good. Right from the start it popped off and just steady stayed intense and full of surprises.

Netflix needs to get on making this into a mini series so I can eat pop corn and cuddle with my man and our dog while reliving this wild ride.

Thoughts:
Riley gets on my nerves 80% of the time.
All the man have only half man card since booked 2. The girls wear the pants in every relationship and don't accuse me of shit, I'm all about equal rights, that said...
I would like so see Murder grow a pair and have a more firm stance about his child... (Like being ok with her option but make it very clear that he would be part of that child's life no matter what but he just cowers and gives her "space"). Hate when the father figure is downsized to a check on the mail and 2 weekends every month.
The grand plan of girls talking shit and faking shooting them down on chat is so stupid, just game, win and fuck them all... Less talk more results.

Loved the "talk", hated that was ruined by Void submitting even more to Reilly by considering being pegged..

So Auryn Hadley is one of my all time favourite RH authors. This is not an RH so don’t get excited if that’s why your here. Stick around tho – because even if RH is your jam – this can still your peanut butter.

Auryn Hadley teams up with Kitty Cox (a genius on her own too) to write this really bad ass series. I have read all the books before this one too and fell in love with them as well. Let’s get into why:

Bad ass woman. Bad ass woman that are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. That are not afraid to stand up for the underdog and fight for them, even if it means they might get hit in the process. I really love how these two ladies created females that are so independent and incredibly strong, yet not afraid to let their guards down when it is with the right guy.
Now – the guys. You know those books you read where the H is just so fucking perfect that you kind of want to nut punch your significant other for not being even a little more perfect? Well this is one of them. Holy smokey dokes. Void is one of the greatest guys I have ever read. He is officially in my virtual harem of book boyfriends and I do not see him ever leaving. Ever.
So I mentioned the bad ass woman. This is true for all the female characters in the book (and series). However I need to call out my girl Riley here. I really wish I was her. I wish I could rock me some neon dreads and not give a complete fuck what people think of me. I can’t. I can however live vicariously through her character when reading these books.
This is Riley’s second book in the series – and seriously folks – I can tell you I am not but hurt about that for a moment. I love that I got another look and her and Logan’s life. I love that I got a little peak at that happily ever after (even if things aren’t all sunshine and roses).
The story line. Oh My Word. I love the idea. I love the whole ‘woman taking down the patriarchy’ vibe they have going down. I LOVE the female empowerment. I love how they are not laying down and letting the Kings take them down. I cannot wait to get stuck into the rest of the series and getting to know some more of the characters.
Yes. I know I cannot give the book six stars. Doesn’t mean I can’t give you more reasons why I loved the book right? The supporting characters are awesome. The whole crew (men, woman, and those still transitioning) are really what makes these books so great to read. I love the support and help they have and how they stick together.
If you haven’t read this yet? What the hell is your problem?

This Book Rocks

Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox, you are my heroes! Gamer Girls books 1 - 3 were amazing, but this book has everything. It’s got heart, heat and heroes.

This fourth book in the series, works well as part of the series, but also on it’s own merits. One of the things I love is that there is a great HFN so you don’t go crazy at the end (even though I really want that book in my sticky mitts yesterday). This is a tricky balance to find within a series, but this book hit bullseye.

This book continues to follow Riley and Logan (or QQ and Void) and their relationship. It also includes Kitty, Riley’s best friend since high school and who is like a sister, and Jeff (Knock) a 17 year old gamer they all knew who got kicked out of his family home. They took him and he became their little brother.

This book focuses on the fight against the KoG, who are very anti-women. They cyber bully, stalk, doxx and instigate the actions of people outside the gaming world into action against their perceived enemies. QQ is the first female professional gamer in her league and is a major target. This book follows her fight and the support and love of her allies.

I really like how during the course of this series more women have become part of the group and are welcomed with open arms into the community. I also like how the authors make a point of saying that 80% of male gamers are really welcoming, 10% are just neutral about female gamers and don’t really interact and that only 10% are the vocal minority that make it really uncomfortable for women in games. This book actually does a really good job of making me actually want to try a FPS, which is not something I ever thought I’d hear myself say.

This book has a lot of gaming battles, smack talk and alliances. It also has a metric tonne of emotions and heart. It has love of family, those you are born to and those that you choose, love of friends, friendships and alliances and romantic love. It’s also got a lot of hot and real sounding sex. Riley and her family are open and honest about sex and about sexuality, but they are also good at communicating about other emotions too.

This is a complex and wonderful book and I know I’ll read it again and again. I’ll say it again Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox, you are my heroes!

Best Book So Far !

Rereading the series again, this is definitely the best book so far but book 1 is a very close second. If you’re new to the series then this is a dark romance series that features several couples what they all have in common is their involvement with computer games from designers, developers to players.

It’s an “Us v Them” scenario where the “bad guys” are an online hate group consisting of narcissistic men who want to blame women for all of the evils of the world and specifically those who would dare to get involved with computer games in anyway. When the reality is that in the world of computer gaming there is no he/she/they only players.

You don’t need any knowledge of computer gaming or computers themselves to be able to enjoy the awesomeness of this series.

This book specifically, takes us back to QQ and Void/ Riley and Logan covering ongoing events in their day to day lives. Kitty has some big news and Jeff (Knock) is having a bit of an identity crisis, he’s almost 18 and at that age most things can turn into a crisis. The next book however features Cynister/ Jason, so colour me excited because he’s one of my favourites. This series made it to my very short ”must buy” list. Very easy 5 stars!

Are you putting off Gamer Girls because you, yourself, are not a gamer nor a girl? Fret not, this series is for everyone. I, too, was one of the foolish that kept putting off GG because I'm not an avid gamer. What a mistake that was! I should've known that Auryn and Kitty wouldn't lead me astray!

Never let it be said that I don't like a challenge--because I had never dived (dove? diven? dividend?) into this series prior to this book, I read Fragged first with zero knowledge of who the characters were. As a testament to their writing skills, it was still fairly easy to follow along even with the characters having their gamer tags. I went into Fragged fully blind, and came out the other side and GG fanatic. I binged the rest of the series within two days and now I'm trying to decide what neon color I should dye my hair.

There's so much heart and soul to these characters. Their found family means everything to them and I loved reading through the interactions, about their struggles, how they love one another, etc. Everything. I highly recommend Fragged and the GG series as a whole.

Nothing more dangerous than a pissed off "Mama "

Most series tend to get a bit less wirh each book. Nope not happening with this one.
The first book , FLAWED, set the base background for the characters. Book 2 lined up the opponents both in"reality" and in the virtual setting. Book 3 covered the challenge and woo-ing of allies. Book 4, Fragged, shows that while women maybe smaller in stature and physical strength, their inner strength can be a daunting power house best left alone. Make a woman mad enough and a male will learn to regret it. Piss off a mother of any species and you are in galaxy deep shit. KoG made a major error thinking they are smarter, stronger and entitled to more than women because of their sex. Can't wait to read Collateral Damage.
Even think my non-reading computer nerd son might actually enjoy this series enough to read the books. I suggest you try them. Note for readers who are none gamers : I have learned a lot by hitting definitions once I figured out it would give me help in figuring out the meanings for words that are English BUT gamer specific just as in medical or legal "language. Enjoy

Oh Em Gee! That was insane! I am so glad we’re getting a book for Jason! I don’t know how long I’ll be able to wait though. Riley and Logan or one of my favorite couples ever. There were so many moments when I wanted to cry for them but they were also moments when I was laughing and cheering. I’m so glad I didn’t have to know gamer lingo when I first started because I didn’t know anything but now I kind of do and I’m glad. This entire series is amazing! Our gamer girls are fighting and we broke another glass ceiling! This is just too good. I love how real world situations are integrated into the story. I really related to knock when he had his freak outs and seeing with the way that everyone handled him was inspiring and perfect. Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox you both rock! If I could rate the entire series of what we have so far more than five stars I totally would.

ANOTHER AMAZING HIT from Hadley and & Cox. I really loved this one, it felt really nice going back to QQ & Void and getting an extended 'after the happy ending' story. I am also LOVING this book more because I thought there was such a large break between book 3&4 that there wasn't going to be a book 4 and I AM LIVING FOR IT!

I am not a gamer
well... I am not a PC gamer, or anything more than a few times a year gamer but this book makes me want to re think that. I made me want to explore the gaming world again.

What I really loved about this book was the elements of authentic realness such as the plotlines around Kitty and Knock. Those were really beautiful and interesting and had some really lovely moments. I enjoy the friends as family vibes and the messages.

What I really enjoyed about this book was getting to know some of the side characters a little bit better, especially Cyn - (cant wait for his book next month!) as well as kitty and such.

cant wait for more from this pair of writers and their spin-off series to come!!

I love this series, and this is my new fave of the series.

First off - just a reminder that you do NOT have to be a gamer to understand/enjoy/love this series!!

Riley is my fave female character in this series so far, so I loved that she was back as the main character in this book. Not only that, but we got so many other characters we've met and loved along the way.
Really, this series is about real life issues, strong women, strong men who actually appreciate a strong woman as their partner, and found family. The relationships and bonds between all of these characters is just amazing, whether as lovers or just family/friends.

Absolutely recommend, and cannot wait for Cynister's book next!!

They did it again!

So full disclosure, I'm not a gamer. Never have been. I grew up to poor to have access to games or internet until I was in high school and by then I'd fallen hard and fast for my biggest addition, books. I can count the times I've played a video game on one hand, but this books. I was hesitant when Flawed came out, I feared I'd need gaming knowledge to enjoy the series but Auryn and Kitty surprised be yet again. These books drag you in and captive you. Binge reading is a real thing! The emotional rollercoaster ride each book contains is unreal but so worth it. Every time I think they can't get better, they surprise me. I've marked the next release date on my calendar, and I can't wait!!

A wild ride

I was completely hooked to the gamer girls after flawed. I have read the first 3 books several times. I picked up Flawed again last week and saw 2 more books in the series a quickly purchased them. I absolutely love the writing, the strong females and the LGBTQ themes. I'm not a gamer but try to keep up with the fun they have. It was nice to have Braden, Chase and Dez make an appearance. The Andrews family part is beautiful, accepting and heartwarming. I loved how this family strengthens each other. Murder and Kitty will be fun to watch and I hope they get their story too. I wish these books were on audio! Love this series so much!!! Full novel, no cliffhanger and there was a HE A ... Squeal!!

I LOVE this series!!!

Ugh this series...the feels, I just can’t...ok that is a lie I devoured this book just like the others and will wait not so patiently for the next. The characters are like my own personal crack! Underdogs that never knew they should be underdogs. The character and storyline development is beyond compelling.

I can’t wait for more! If you like strong female characters, read this...if you like smart suspense without the slow burn annoying ness, read this. If you need to feel accepted, ok to be real or different or just happy to be you, read this series...then recommend it to everyone you know!!!!

More Riley! I loved that we got a second book on Riley. The way her family has grown since Challenge Accepted, we needed more. Plus we are still learning more and more about this world and who “Soul Reaper” is.

Riley is building her army and ready to fight. What is so hard for Riley is she is ready to fight head on but the enemy is also ready for that and isn’t fighting fair. The enemy is going after the people she loves. It is Riley though and she will fight with all she has for the people she loves.

My favorite part of this book was the better insight we got into Jason. He has become a favorite character. This book was a perfect continuation of this series.

Book 4 in the Gamer Girls series is, no surprise, spectacular.

Mostly following QQ, who we met in Book 3, we find out more about the lengths the Kings of Gaming will go to in order to keep girls out of their games. QQ and her group call them out and do their best to take them down.

Like the other books, Fragged is not just about gaming. Its about family, however you define it, love, and acceptance.

While this is part of a series the book ends with with a happily for now. Book 5 can't come fast enough!

Another excellent story

I cannot say how great this story was. I want Cyn to be part of thier family and find love murder he needs to move states stat! I needed this book this team to take me away from reality and it delivered. But the fbi agent yeah smack him! But I wanna cuddle cyn and fizz. Thank you for writing this so well it's awesome ! You are in the same league as Terry Pratchett (different genre yes I know) but you are there side by side in writing skill and drawing me in.

Need the next book!

Wow. I wasn't sure about having another book with Riley because each book in this series has focused on the relationships forming between a new couple within their perspective of the gaming world. I didn't feel like I could get more or maybe something with Riley and Logan relationship (I knew the main plot would move forward) but boy was I wrong. I loved more insight into this family and, after reading it, definitely think this couple needed a second book. Now I'm ready for Cynister's book after that teaser!!

Back to QQ or Riley. Its ok, but wasn't very new or exciting other than someone getting knocked up, someone discovers that they aren't straight and Cyn is still weird and talks in strange code that only QQ gets. Because I was like huh?
I like Kitty, Void, Knock and the gang but this one just kind of made them targets for bad things to come. And to find out over and over how men hate women gaming just is discouraging, I struggle with how much is fiction and how much is real? Have we really come very far at all as a society?
I think I will be taking a break from Gamers for a bit- no rush since the final book hasn't come out yet...

Another winner!

Love all the books in this series so far! I've been binge reading these books since I started the 1st and I can honestly say they have been THE BEST books to loose time in. Pick up Flawed and start at the begining, just make sure you have the time to read them as you won't want to put them down. Love the characters, love getting to know about them more, love the gamer world but you don't have to be a gamer to love these books, and truly love the romance woven into the stories!

Much to my surprise this novel returned to Riley and Logan, aka QQ and Void from book two. Riley has achieved her goals of becoming a professional gamer and saving her family's farm. But that doesn't mean things are easy.
The Kings of Gaming are churning up more hate online against women gamers. And realizing that they're either going to attack her or someone more vulnerable Riley chooses loud and proud to draw their attention. But can she handle it when their hated spills over on to the people she loves most?

Fragged

I loved it. It was amazing. I’m going to read it again. At first I was concerned because it’s Riley, and I assumed (wrongly oc!) that QQ’s story was done. But I’m so glad we got this story, all the previous books are beginning to culminate into this epic story where I can’t wait for the baddies to go down! And then to find out Jason is next??? Yes!! Loving this series so bad!

Fragged, book 4 of the Gamer Girls series, is a book I picked up through Kindle Unlimited. Cox and Hadley have a great series here, with strong, independent, open-minded protagonists, a complex plot woven into the whole series, and enough explanation that non-gamers, such as me, can follow the action. Very fast-paced, yet there are excellent moments of connection and understanding between characters as they explore various cultures, ideology, and relationships.

This was so flipping good. Kitty and Auryn are on a roll! I love that this book went back to QQ instead of straight to a new person. I mean who doesn’t want more QQ? But Kitty!?! Man I love her. So glad to have more of her. Knock makes me want to hug him and cry a little. Then there’s Murder. This book had me going in so many directions I had no idea where the KoG were gonna strike next. So glad “KAuryn” didn’t break my heart with this one.
