Josh thought the day he came out to his parents was the worst day of his life. It was, but not for the reasons one might expect. He and his best friend find themselves cut off from their home and their families when an inexplicable plague sweeps across the country. Josh must find a way to survive in this strange new world.
I loved this book. I read two other short stories by this author, and while they were interesting and the world felt rich, they were too short to delve into anything or develop the characters. But this book felt like a complete story. One young man coming out to his parents who kicked him out of the house. He and his best friend leave to live at a cabin together, right when a zombie-like outbreak begins to spread. This book had some twists I didn't see coming. I really enjoyed it. 5 stars.
Coming out as gay to his parents was the hardest thing he had ever done and he is surprised by their reaction but it was not what expected. The world has changed and he is isolated by a plague, from his family. Now he will have a fight on their hands to survive this new world of danger. Will he get back to his family? Can they survive it all? Will they all be reunited? See just how they get on

Enjoyable read. Well written short story with a surprising end. Well developed characters who have More than one changes on their lives. Easy to read. Enjoy

This story was quick with more lead up than ending. It read like a young adult book more than anything, no real character development and a little rushed even for a short story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it had a great post-apocalyptic setting and I enjoyed the storyline. The characters were great and I enjoyed the storyline. I look forward to more from this author.
