Amish romantic suspense. Safe Hearts (Amish Safe House, Book THREE)
U.S. Marshal, Kate Briggs, is still posing as an Amish woman. When the cousin of one of the Amish Knitting Circle ladies is accused of murder, Kate once again throws herself into the investigation. However, the criminal looking for her has finally tracked her down to the small Amish community in which she is hiding. How will Kate protect not only herself, but the entire community, from the desperate criminal? When Kate's identity is revealed, how will everyone react, especially Detective Ryan Weaver?
USA Today Best-selling author Ruth Hartzler spends her days writing, walking her dog, and thinking of ways to murder somebody. That's because Ruth writes cozy mysteries and adventures. She is best known for her archaeological adventures, for which she relies upon her former career as a college professor of ancient languages and Biblical history.
Really enjoyed meeting The Amish knitting group. They were all like a group of "Nancy Drews". Really a fun and enjoyable book. You won't want to miss out on reading this one!
I have enjoyed reading this three book set. However, I found inconsistencies where she is Kate vs. Katie that didn't work with the story line. Additionally, many grammar errors in the book. While I did like the story line for a nice easy read, I think that the editing of this series should have been much better. A couple of times they were sewing a quilt, then they were knitting it. Again, more consistency would have been nice.
I read all 3 books in this series in 2 evenings! (Well at bedtime, anyway.) I did stay up rather late one of the nights. They had a great mixture of Amish charm, innocence, and romance while focusing on an “Englisher” lead character and heroine. It was just a great combination. Could hardly stop reading.
This was the finish of this series, and although it was a short read, it really did wrap things up nicely. I liked the growing romance between Kate and Ryan and how that was resolved in the end. A good little read, and not your typical Amish mystery.
