Reagan Davis is turning out to be one of my favorite cozy mystery authors. Her characters are well developed and believable. Megan puzzles out the murder by asking questions, not breaking into houses or being smarter than the local police. Yes, there is food involved in the story, but it doesn't dominate the plot, which I appreciate. There were plenty of suspects to choose from throughout the story to keep you guessing until the very end. Well written with nice social message to boot.

Always love this series where everything neatly comes together =^_^= you always know what to expect (except who done it). A series i love reading when my brain needs something easy but also to keep me guessing.

I am really enjoying this series. Each book has gotten better than the one before it. The main characters are interesting, and the mystery is complex enough to keep me trying to figure it out. I haven't figured one out before the reveal yet!

Murder & Merino was a great read. There were many twists and turns about what was happening in Harmony Lake. It had me guessing throughout the book trying to figure out who the murderer was. I had a few ideas but the more I read I couldn’t decide. Reading through the story, it told a little about the lives of the characters; about Jill, Vanessa, the relationship between Megan and Adam and Megan and Eric. The relationships in this book were believable. The camaraderie was outstanding; how they had each other’s back. To me, it showed genuine friendship and the love they shared for each other. I also liked the portrayal of Adam in the book; making him a decent guy who was willing to help Megan and all the folks.

I loved this book and think the series just gets better and better the more you get to know the wonderful characters. This is book three and you don't need to read or listen to the books in order as each book is a standalone mystery but why would want to miss out on laughs, twists, romance, adventure, pets and murder? Everything you want from a great cozy mystery series. The mystery was interesting and I liked the way the author kept you guessing over the reason behind the motive and with so many suspects I kept changing my mind, I think I might have even suspected someone who wasn't even a suspect at one point. I like the small town feel of the book, the way everybody know everyone and is willing to help there neighbours. Also the knitting shop is a nice change for a job but don't worry Megan is to busy solving a murder to confuse you with knit one pearl one. The story is broken up with some light hearted animal antics, not to mention the reason the body was found and in some great characters and you are in to a winner. I can't wait for the next book.

And her husband believed the rumours about her affair? Then only clue is a bag full of money and an elderly man's ramblings about a bad man. Can Megan stitch the clues together and find the killer?
I liked the narrator. She really helped to bring the story to Life by giving the characters some great voices.

These are cozy mysteries that I don't need to pay a lot of attention to, which is part of why I liked them. In this case, I felt like the murderer was tagged a mile away, though it did have some good red herrings.
The audio narrator continues to be dreadful at male voices (like, to the point of making it difficult to even listen to the audiobook), while passable at everything else. It isn't just the tone she uses for them, it's the speech pattern too. I made the comparison in my last review, but all the males, especially Eric the male love interest, sound like Sandi from Daria. It is truly distracting and I would not recommend the audiobooks as a result. If I hadn't gotten 1-3 as a package deal, I don't think I would have done it.
That said, now that I'm done, will I continue since they're all currently on KU? I mean, I like to think I would, but honestly, probably not. I tend to let a lot of plot things slide on audio books that I don't when reading (since I have to pay a lot more attention when reading as opposed to listening) and these are cute, but I doubt they're good enough to make me focus on them for the hours required to read them. If they had a different narrator, I probably would get more on Audible, but Zim Avaltrades (pronounced of-all-trades, which would be cute if she hadn't spent the last three books making it impossible for me to stop thinking of Sandi Griffin) is decidedly NOT cut out for audio reading. Or at least her male voices aren't. If she'd get better at those, I would totally listen to more stuff read by her, but even speeding this up to 1.25 didn't really help much with the delivery.

Mature and well-imagined
Megan is such a likeable and believable character, and her friends are a true support system. Her relationship with Eric is appealing; he's open, honorable, and a more than competent detective. The mystery is well-written, with a conclusion that is both surprising and sad. Cozy mystery fans will love this series!

This is a great series! Megan is the main character in this series. Her friends and all of the other characters are all fun! Megan has a knack of somehow getting involved with dead bodies being found. This time it’s happened again. Megan does a little snooping of her own and discovers a lot of secrets around town. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was easy to listen to.

Engaging
I've been knitting for 50 years ( dare I say I learned as a child?), I work at my LYS, and thankfully I have never come across a dead human being. That said, I LOVE this series! The characters are realistic as well as the thoughtful manner in which the mysteries are solved. Yarn, dogs, good friends, food, romance, everything important in a woman's life, and in a good book.

Excellent 2nd book in this series!
I'm enjoying this series while getting to know each character. The setting "Harmony Lake" I can almost see in my mind. Each mystery unfolds slowly keeping you guessing as to who the murderer is! Looking forward to start book 3!

Reruns
Ms. David does a good job keeping the suspense to the end. I did have an issue how she has to describe people and situations from previous books in detail over and over. People will read these books in order and describing past situations implies the reader is too stupid to remember. So I was able to read faster as I skipped the many reruns!

I listened to this. It is set in Harmony Lake, Canada. The murder and investigation were interesting with plenty of twists and turns. We deal with topics such as domestic violence in this installment. I really enjoyed the background on Megan, Eric and a few others. This cozy has a sense of being more mature than some of the others. For one, everyone is concerned not to be the next victim while trying to suss out why Jill was killed.

What I like about this series is the characters. I like Megan and all the friends she has as well as her boyfriend and, even in this book, her ex-husband. They watch out for each other and help each other. I also enjoy trying to figure out who done it because there is a serious aspect to the story in addition to the murder, and that is domestic abuse so the book isn't all nicey-nicey. I think knitters and non-knitters would find this book a good read.

This has been my favorite so far. Even though I figured out who done it, I wasn't sure I was right until close to the end. I think the author is starting to hit her stride with the pacing of the story, and she seems to know her characters well. I'm glad I stuck with it. I hope eventually she will drop present tense narration, but I have to admit that's a personal preference that doesn't seem to bother most folks.

Just finished this book. Really enjoyed it. As good as the first two in the series - maybe even a little better. I’ve liked Megan since the first book and the secondary characters are becoming more familiar as they appear frequently in each book. I like the writing style, the pacing and the plot. I especially like the fact that the identity of the murderer surprises me. Highly recommend this series for fans of cozy mysteries.

I have to say I did not see that coming!! These books are very well written and I am enjoying them very much!! The author is a very good writer!! I love stories that have lots of twists and turns and unexpected experiences. This author has it down pat!!! Enjoy!!!

Another interesting murder at Harmony Lake. Eric and Adam are becoming friends. But our heroine, Megan is not bothered by that, she is to busy trying to find out who murdered Jill. With lots of twists and turns (like a sock pattern) this book will keep you guessing till the end.

Nothing like a great escape into a charming cozy . . . the mystery is challenging, the characters are believable and the setting just makes me want to be there . . .the shop, the town, the shops, a little dog to walk . . . on my way!!!

Another great read. I’m loving the series, from the characters to the storylines and of course the knitting references. I have not had a good experience knitting socks but I’m ready to give that another try. Looking forward to book 4.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I’m studying French, and was pleased to find that I was able to understand the bits in that language without resorting to the translations. This one has a bonus, too, in the form of a knitting pattern. And yes, I’m a fan of River Song plus it’s a delectable pattern.

I stumbled on this series by accident, but I love it. I knit, for 13 years I had a corgi and now I share one with my daughter. I have read mysteries ever since I discovered Agatha Christie when I was in junior high. This series has all my favorite things. The characters are great and so are the plots.

This author does a great job on wanting me to know more!! I love when a book captures my interest on page 1! I could not put it down and I am eagerly waiting to read the next one!! A must read!!

Another great read! I did have an idea of who the killer was before the end of the book, but I still recommend this story, along with the previous books in the series!
