Quite a funny story. Though I didn't understand why Junior had only too many socks cluttered in his room and no other item of clothing. 😅 But it was fun to read. The rhymes were pretty good for children and early readers will definitely enjoy this tale.

Laundry can be a daunting chore even for the most dedicated person. It seems to multiply when you aren’t looking. It’s not hard to imagine how Junior felt when staring at his massive pile of unmatched socks in the story “Too Many Socks” by Kerry and Adam Del Guidice.
In the tale of “Too Many Socks”, Junior has been assigned the task of cleaning up his room before his Mom comes home. There is only one problem, his room has been completely taken over with too many socks! There are socks everywhere, from under the bed to hanging off picture frames. Junior is overwhelmed by the task before him, but with a little help from his Dad, and pet pooch Cloud, Junior discovers that he can tackle this huge problem one mismatched sock at a time. Will the trio be able to match all the socks before Mom comes home?
While the idea of having 1000’s of mismatched socks is far-fetched, we have all been faced with a task that seems impossible to complete. This story teaches us that no matter how large a task appears to be, by tackling it one “sock” at a time it can be done. Take a few moments to talk with your little one about tackling big projects one step at a time.
The story also teaches us that it is okay to ask for help. Junior discovered that with a little guidance from his Dad, he is able to match all the socks. Junior learns from his Dad how to tackle the problem of cleaning his room and matching socks so that the next time he needs to tidy his room he will know how to do it.
The story is told in rhyme. I love stories like this for new readers, which allows them to learn words that are new to them by using both rhyming and picture clues. I like how the text is placed on solid background colours to make it easier to read.
The authors have partnered with “Knock Knock Give a SOC (KKGS)” to donate 50% of net revenues from sales of this book to KKGS. My children love to pack blessing bags to give to those in need and we always make sure there are clean and dry socks in each bag. We love to know that by purchasing a copy of this book we can help support a great cause that is close to our hearts.
“Too Many Socks” is a fun story about tackling big project in little steps.
Dad wanted to know if Junior had cleaned up his room before his mother got home. Dad took a look, he couldn’t believe it, there were colored socks everywhere.
Did the cleanup get accomplished before mom got home?

An awesome book cover, great colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation, movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

I like several things about this book. First, my kids loved it. They were entranced the whole way through. Second, the rhyme — although the rhythm was a little off-pace in a couple places, the kids were able to predict the words at the end of lines due to their rhyme. Third, the artwork: clean and consistent, colorful and cute. Fourth, the storyline. I liked having a dad-and-son story with a nurturing theme. Fifth, what I noticed upon REreading that I overlooked the first time through.
Too Many Socks by Kerry Del Giudice Colorful children's story about Junior and his dad has asked if he has cleaned his room because his mother will be home soon. He has tried his best but he's only a little kid. What the dad sees is amazing LOL. Dad has a good idea as they make a pile then decide what to do next. When mom comes home she is so happy so they go out for dinner and she hopes they can work on the yard which we are shown a picture of that. Very cute story, I love socks and mittens, cuz they come in pairs and the colors and patterns are so varied.
I think kids and adults can both relate to this story.
A little boy, Junior, has to clean up his room before his Mom gets home. When his Dad checks on him, he see socks EVERYWHERE! prints, stripes and spots, lots of socks with polka dots.” Junior’s Dad helps him and they work together to clean and organize all the socks. When they are almost done, they notice one sock is missing! That happens to me all the time!
Junior has a problem in his room that he has to have cleaned before Mom comes home. Dad offers to help with his problem. Will they be able to do it? Will Junior's room be clean?
This is a cute little story. I liked that Dad offered to help him and showed him how to do it. I also liked that Junior did not leave it for Dad to do. It was nice to watch them do it together. Your toddlers will enjoy this book.
I liked the colors in the book and the rhyme. It was smooth and easy to read. The socks were in the drawer neatly and matched by color. Why is that important? Some kids throw their socks in a drawer/wear mismatched ones. Dad helped his son find the socks during the book. Mom says the yard needs cleaning at the end of the book, the son should help his dad.
Great illustrations and artwork with a lot of great details. The story was the letdown. The writing and especially the rhymes were awkward. I think it's a children's book that will be easily forgotten.
So cute!! And I feel this to my core.. so many socks!!
Our 9 year old enjoyed this rhyming kid’s book about the socks that have taken over the boy’s room. The illustrations were also fun to see. If only our dog was that helpful with socks.
This book is a cute, rhyming book. It shows that a child can go to its parent for help and shows that it’s easier to get some thing done when you are working with others. It’s a cute story.
Did feel like there should have been more to it but a good lesson for the kiddos about asking for help and team work. I currently have a pretty big pile of socks to put away as well...
Amazing book for little ones! My nephew loves the silly rhymes, and the illustrations are really bright and colorful. It's quickly become one of his favorites!
