What if time is a construct? What if you can ignore time and allow everything to happen at once? And what if you master the skills of journeying in and out of past and future moments, reliving events that happen, or maybe don't, or won't happen... And what if you realize you've broken the model, thereby changing events, creating alternate outcomes, and you change yourself, and not for the better?

This is what I do/did and you will discover how I do/did it, with the help of Mick Jagger, a few teenage friends, a dead cousin and my own deceased father, whom I hate/hated/will hate/love.

When I begin my journey, I join my stoner teenage buddies on our epic journey to the Rolling Stones concert at Rich Stadium in Buffalo.

I wouldn't change a thing. But when I guide my sixteen-year-old self to have sex with that beautiful woman I failed to make out with the first time, it's literally life-changing. Her ex-husband's biker friends murder me. In my disembodied state, I become a spirit guide to myself. It complicates when I start to see the flyers, energy-seeking blobs of energy, and I realize that infinity is calling me. I am destined to sail past the eagle, the consciousness-devouring entity at the end of the world. But before I can depart on my definitive journey, I must fulfill my destiny; I must resolve how to save myself from my now murdered self.

Believe it or not, there is a happy ending.

Mind-bending memoir. Ronnie, aka Moose, travels times and dimensions as he re-experiences pivotal moments in his life as an observer, intervening when necessary, with the help of his spirit guides Mick Jagger and his own father. The book discusses metaphysical themes, past trauma, and reaches some very intriguing conclusions about life, the universe, and everything. It's a book that will have me pondering it for some time.

this book was certainly different.. i love the idea, the warped way of seeing yourself, of remembering, of experience.. it's a dreamy sort of time travel recollection.. just odd enough to keep my interest.. it gets a little too much into the drug induced warp zone that i sometimes lost my footing of where the story was, is, going, gone.. but all in all, i liked this book..

Have you ever heard that voice in your head, that intuition that guides the big things? Moments that seem fleeting and forgetful save for that voice that says, "Pay attention to this!". What if this voice is you, just in another dimension or time or level of consciousness coming to make sure you get this piece right? This story follows Moose/Ron through the tumult of his teens while also touching on his childhood and adulthood for context. The narrator steps into, out of and around key life events but not so much as memories, but as an observer, another incarnation of the character in an altered level of consciousness that dissolves past, present and future. Confused? Yeah, it's kind of unimaginable until you read it. The writing is accessible, never convoluted and despite the potential for the story to implode under such a premise, it is easy and enjoyable to read. It wakes up the mind to possibilities, to another way of thinking about life and time and what the hell we're doing here. This book is something special. The philosophic premise is similar to Richard Bach, but new and raw in its delivery. Loved it!

If I told you about the main character or the plot or the style of “Moose”. I’d convey very little about the book. It’s about a fairly ordinary young man who develops and grows as a person over the book. It’s written in an engaging straightforward style. It’s the story of a fairly ordinary young man and of his relationships with those around him, especially his father, and of how he learns to rebuild them. There are quite a number of books which are broadly similar. The theme is one that matters to all of us and which will always matter.
“Moose” is special. If I were to tell you exactly how it’s special, I’d spoil it for you. I could say that it’s about working through your past and reworking it and getting it right, or more nearly right. I could say that the characters include the usual friends and lovers and the Rolling stones and an Eagle. I could say it’s a fantasy but it’s not really typical fantasy fiction. I could say you’ll never guess the ending and it’ll hit you with the force of a well-chosen metaphor. Or I could say, read it and you’ll find out for yourself.

This will be a bit unusual because I am the author's wife. I found the book so engaging that I lost sight of who the author was in relation to myself. I am probably his biggest critic. The story brought back so much of my own crazy youth and the development of all of us through our own crazy lives. Enjoy !

One of the best first time authors I've ever read! The book captivated me from the first page. The author pulled me in with his pitch of saving his now murdered self and that was it. It's the journey of a young man through his crazy life with a twist on reality. Can't wait to see what comes next from this thought provoking and creative mind! Tell your friends!
