This was dark, dirty and twisty. Just how I like them. Reading through some of Switch’s past was heartbreaking. Reading about what happened to Burn was grueling. But somehow, these two men work together in a way that is just right for them.

This wasn’t a fairytale type romance. And it wasn’t a version of love that looks familiar to many of us. But it was definitely love. This all consuming, can’t think of anything but protecting and possessing type of love. It was magnificent.

Don’t expect roses. They won’t be here. But you will find a story that is unique and engrossing.

Wow this was pretty intense in the trauma department but a unique spin on friendship, loyalty & love. Would have enjoyed more time with these two. Loved the dynamic ❤️

This book is dark. Like, should have a full page of trigger warnings. The redemptive story line was essentially the only aspect of the book that wasn't jet black, dark as the night sky. To me, the book could stand to be a bit longer to get more into taking down the traffickers, although that might be a follow up book I'm unaware of.

My main issue with the book is not the dark story line; it is the extreme mysogeny and slurs coming from the bikers. For instance, as told by a MC 1st person POV:

Shut it, bitch, and get on with it.

If she knows what’s best for her, she’ll shut her whore mouth before I end her life.

Knowing her place, the whore dips her chin in acknowledgment and exits

It feels like May is the M/F author with M/M spin-offs to a series month in my house. Well, this one was certainly a departure because I can't remember the last time I read a "dark" book in the genre that actually deserved that label. Switch & Burn absolutely deserves this and once more I am pretty sure the author comes from fandom. The story is a blueprint of the most indulgent whump and hurt/comfort and I enjoyed every second of it.
Does that make this a good book? Not necessarily but sometimes when you're in the mood to read about a severely abused guy and the man who helps with the power of Healing Cock this would absolutely do the trick.

The world of this MC is hyperviolent, hypermysoginist and compltely over the top. I don't think I'll branch out read any other parts of the series, written by several different authors it seems, because most of the are M/F and well, it is not really a fun place to be?

Still, three stars for hitting that spot and recommendation for anyone who's here for some dark content that really deserves the label.

A Unique Tale of Romance

Switch and Burn is a breath of fresh air in both the m/m and MC Romance genres. This book is love at it's most simple and pure form. Two men subjected to the worst humanity has to offer, yet able to find trust, love, and harmony with each other. Redemption is found for both characters in a story that tugs and captures your heart. A unique tale of romance that captures what we all desire... Someone to love and care for who loves and cares for us back.

A good book. Not much about the club but more of a romance. In case you didn't know it's a MM romance. It's pretty sad. Depressing even to know things like what Switch went through. It's about vengeance also. It might take a bit but he does get his payback. It took a while into the book before either of them realized that they were both gay. Once they did they had each other to rely on. Everyone needs someone to rely on. Have a feeling that this isn't done yet.

Intense

We have switch who was abused sexually and physically since a young child and then we have Burn who as his name says was tortured by a rival club by being burned very badly.

This chapter has a lot of members that have faced their own demons. They fight at the Iron He'll to let some of the demons free. Burn takes in Switch to help him as he is quiet and angry. He eventually comes out of his shell with the determination and love of Burn.

Two tortured souls find their mates and love when they least expect it.

I'm actually surprised this one worked with me XD When I started reading this (first thing I read by the author) I wasn't expecting something THIS dark, and the first chapters kind of surprised me... But I'm glad I kept reading.

I liked how fucked up all the characters are. We don't find half assed traumas here, we have some really fucked up people. Brink doesn't try to cover the ugliness and gives us a half burnt man, another one full of scars that was raped all his life, and there's even a noseless guy... And this is just their surfaces, their minds? Totally wrecked.

I loved how the relationship between Switch and Burn developes. None of them seem to understand what's going on with their feelings and even when they start getting it they try to bury it until they just can't do it anymore. It's a sweet and scorching slowburn that explodes in epic proportions, I loved their love scenes and how strongly they feel for each other.

I'm intrigued by Remy's plot line. I see this is related with another of the author series (an M/F one if I'm not wrong) and I'm defenitely gonna check it... Not only because the sex trafficking thing is interesting, but also because I had the feeling I was kind of missing something and maybe it's because some characters appear in that one? Not sure, but could be.

Well, in short, this story is totally messed up but somehow it works... The author delivers just perfectly fine the angst and suffering and makes you understand how they feel. I cannot deny I'm intrigued by the supporting characters I met here and I'm dying to discover where the story will go (and I hope to see more of this couple in the future, please, this felt too short. I haven't had enough of them. Not nearly).

Holy Cow - I Loved this book/chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. One thing that is great about the RB series, is that I get to read works from authors that are new to me. This is the case with Switch and Burn by Bink Cummings. I fell in love with the author's writing style and as cliche as this sounds, this won’t be my last Bink Cummings book, as I will definitely be looking up more of the author's works. The storyline flowed with ease and the plot was sexy, emotional and for a lack of knowing the right words: emotionally caring. Yes, this is a biker chapter and yes these guys are a tough bunch and as they say bad to the bone. But they were all brought together due to experiences in their pasts. The bad-boys in the RB, Idaho Springs MC chapter all are scarred, most literally, in one form or another. They’ve band together to not only heal themselves but to heal each other.

For years, Switch has endured a life of pain and torment at the hands of his abductors. When he is rescued he is so full of hate and torment that he is a loose cannon, fighting at every turn. He is brought to the Idaho Springs RB chapter in hope they can put that energy to work in their underground fighting world. Burn takes him under his wing, trying to make the mute, troubled young man feel safe and normal again. Watching the connection between these two was just phenomenal. The authors writing style made every touch, every word, every feeling come to life as I read along.

This is one of the best M/M MC books I’ve read in a while. I Highly recommend it and look forward to more from this author as well as the RB Idaho Springs Chapter in the future. The author has a new fan and I look forward to reading Bink’s past works that I’ve missed. (That is just how much I enjoyed Switch & Burn) 2 Thumbs Up and 5+++ Stars.

Bink Cummings has written another amazing book, and once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The author has woven her magic once again to put together such a heartfelt story. Switch and Burn have survived horrible situations in each of their lives, which leads to a bond that begins the minute they meet. I loved how we are fed small of bits of their emotions and how that grows as the story progresses. Even if you are not a big fan of M/M books you will love this one. Aside from the sexual attraction the emotional attachment that forms is what pulled me into the story. There is some nasty stuff that goes on, but that is balanced out. And the inclusion of a few characters from previous stories was a bit of added spice.

You know a book is good when your facial expression displays your emotions so well your hubby keeps looking at you and asking what is wrong. This book is different from most MC books. Different but so good. It centers on Burn and Switch. Burn is just existing day by day. He has his own demons but is protective and drawn to Switch when he's brought to their MC. He takes Switch under his wings and thus starts something neither imagined or expected. A heartfelt connection, one where the characters truly end up balancing each other. I'll admit I had tears in my eyes reading. Certain parts left me feeling gutted and others made me smile. I loved that it was a M/M book. Definitely an awesome read!

Holy wow

I’m speechless about where to even begin with this. This was a very raw, crude and rude MC story so if you are looking for MC do gooders, This ain’t for you. But I like my MC Men like this. Beyond the crudeness Of the story the writing was amazing. The way the characters interacted how they spoke or not spoke to each other the way the story flowed, it was just like poetry in motion. All I can tell you is read it, this will probably rank as one of my favorite MC stories. The writing was on point, the smexy was raunchy and hawt, and the side characters I hope we get stories about them.

Wow!! I was crying within the first two chapters. I hurt for Switch and Burn for everything that they endured. I fell in love with both of these men. Burn knew what Switch needed before Switch did. He did everything that he could to help him.

I loved the depth of emotions that these two had for each other from the very beginning and it just kept building. It built until they couldn't handle it anymore. It was explosive between these two. They are who they are and really don't care what anyone else thinks.

Now this book is a dark book so be aware of that but I LOVED it!!!

Bink Cummings is a new author for me. When another author I read recommended this book, I bought it and WOW!!!! This story just blew me away. It's dark, it's gritty but it's sooooo good! I couldn't stop reading and yeah, I even teared up a little bit. It was amazing to watch these two men come together after going through so much in their pasts. Switch and Burn is a story I will definitely be recommending to anyone who asks for an MC book that is MM. Beautifully written, it will stay with you long after you have finished it!

Wow

So I’m struggling with this review for a multitude of reasons. First m/m romances are not my cup of tea. Nothing against 2 men, just never liked reading them. I ended up grabbing this book not even looking at. Why? It’s Bink for gods sake. She could write boxed cake directions & I’d read them. So if your familiar with the hope trilogy you know of Remy. Switch is brought to Burn the Vice President of the Royal Bastards for their special introduction back into society program. Both men battle their own troubled pasts while trying to navigate their feelings for one another. I thought this book was great. Switch wanted to make me cry with the trauma that he endured because of Remy. If you love Bink you’re in for a treat. If this is your first, I’ll bet the ranch it’s not your last.

Wow. I love all of Bink Cummings characters so when a few make an appearance in her books I smile. This story was superb. I love how Switch gets his HEA with all that he has been through and it is Burn who gives it to him.

Burn and Switch

What an amazing read. Two lost souls in need of a little compassion. That is what is found when a young man is delivered to the Clubhouse for Burn to tame. Seeing this young man and the scars he holds and no voice to unleash them. These two will form an unlikely bond and heal each other without even realizing they are falling in love. An unconditional bond between these two will amaze you.A definite must read so grab your copy and enjoy the ride.

A very non-traditional love story. There’s a lot of pain here on both sides, and while I felt their connection I just didn’t think it was given enough time to grow. But I couldn’t stop reading. I was totally invested up until the very end when I felt like I was reading another book. I get that this was a dark romance but seriously. That ending was just weird.

Amazing and Emotion Filled!

Bink Cummings has once again written a spectacular and emotional story. Switch and Burn will both grab your heart and leave you an emotional wreck. A gay story, written in a unique format, I could not get enough. As Switch’s story unfolds, so does Burn’s. The horrific events that brings both of them together, combined with visits from some of her other MC characters, weaves an emotion filled story that makes you fall in love with both of them. Being able to write a story where one of the characters doesn’t use many words to get their emotions and story across is a talent that one comes to expect from Ms. Cummings.

I could NOT put it down until I read the very last word! Epic work Bink!!!

“I’m dead inside.
I feel nothing.
Mostly.
Except him
I feel…. With him.
Less Vile. Less damaged.”

Two scarred men. Two broken soles. Two heartbreaking lives.

“Tears to your eyes at what they endured. Pride swells in my chest for giving him a piece of what he gives me every day. To feel good. To feel cared for. To feel wanted. To be understood.”

Violent, raw and dirty yet loves shines brighter for the two survivors. Switch and Burn is heartbreaking yet beautiful. Strong yet yearning. Filled with depth and true emotion. Simply put this book is fabulous and I highly recommend it.

Brutal

Most unique and amazing read....ugly in the worst of violence and violation but also so beautiful in acceptance and love. One of the most romantic MC books ever. Not sure I've caught my breath yet. Switch and Burn are so beautiful together. I loved the beginning in building trust in quiet comfort...both men bared to one another literally sharing their scars and building an understanding of past immeasurable pain. Their love and attraction was built from deep connection of the souls. This is not for faint of heart but this relationship is so so beautiful. I'll be thinking about it for a long time.

I am a huge fan of Bink Cummings’ books. Her unique and descriptive storytelling keeps readers drawn into the story, inside her worlds, and you never want to leave.
Switch & Burn is no exception.
This book is dark and heavy, in the best of ways. There is an intense, simmering burn between these two men as their story unfolds. Broken and abused, they find a beautiful friendship, and feelings beyond. This reader was not ready for it to end.
I am hoping to get more from these two, as well as the other brothers in the club.

I literally just finished this book and came straight to write a review. I don’t need to write a bunch of words to explain my feelings. I’ll write these...This book is everything. Dark, gritty, emotional, lustful, full of unconditional love...all the things!

I highly recommend reading her other MC books to get the little nuggets she put in this novella. But you don’t have to. If you love a dark, MC, read with scarred and troubled characters, I highly recommend this story. I hope there is more books from this MC chapter.
