Eileen Connolly's boyfriend has asked her to move in with him a couple of times. She has put him off because she has some fantasies she wants to get out of the way before making a commitment. Eileen wants sex with a stranger. While her boyfriend is out of town, Eileen decides to act on her fantasy. Shane Nichols is a contractor working on the phone system in Eileen's office. The gorgeous hunk is just what Eileen is looking for. Shane had noticed Eileen when he was in the office the previous week and had already decided to ask her out. When she propositions him for a one-night-stand, Shane agrees...but he already has plans to turn this night into a long-term relationship.

This is a category romance in the Harlequin Blaze line. The story was more or less a sexfest. I liked Shane a lot. He knew what he wanted and knew exactly what Eileen needed. I'm still not sure how I feel about Eileen. She wanted more excitement in her life and knew her boyfriend wouldn't be able to give it to her. She thought she could have her fun, then settle down into a boring life with her boyfriend. I lost respect for her when she was upset after finding out her boyfriend had done the same thing that she did. My rating: 3 Stars.

Hot and Sexy Romance

This book is another winner for Vicki Lewis Thompson and it really lives up to the Blaze motto of being a scorching hot sexy read.

Eileen is a strong, driven character yet has enough insecurities and fears to make her believable and likeable. Shane is your typical hero - strong, sexy and absolutely delicious. What sets him apart from other heroes is that he has no problem admitting his feelings, at least to himself, which is quite refreshing.

The story is fairly uncomplicated yet the author didn't use predictable plot lines or conflict which she could have done. It is essentially a fun, light story.

And the book didn't disappoint with the sex scenes either. The book focuses on the fantasies of Eileen and Shane as they explore them with each other. These fantasies aren't particularly kinky but they were wonderfully hot. And there were plenty of them for such a short book. The chemistry jumps off the pages making everything come alive. Definitely one of the hottest Blaze books I've read in a while.

If you're a fan of Blaze romances, a fan of Vicki Lewis Thompson or just on the look out for a steamy read to pass a couple of hours - you really can't go wrong with this book. Highly recommended.

Eileen has always wanted to have sex with a stranger. While she is working late at the office she meets Shane, a telephone installer (and owner of Mercury Communications).

I read this book in one night - VLT has a smooth writing style, with great dialogue between her characters and hot romance scenes. It's nice that Eileen and Shane genuinely like each other throughout the book and there's no contrived miscommunication or lack thereof to drive the plot in an artificial manner. Instead, it's about Eileen's need to have an affair before she marries her dull boyfriend - and what a hot, torrid affair she gets when she picks the alleged telephone repair man in her office building after hours. A great read. With lots of doughnuts.

Deliziosa questa rilettura. Pur calando una stellina rispetto alla prima volta, non sono ancora disposta a lasciarlo andare. Emily vuole un’avventura con uno sconosciuto e Shane coglie la palla al balzo. In realtà non è esattamente ciò che sembra essere, in più di un senso. Lei vuole tornare alla sua vecchia vita, mentre lui vorrebbe tenersela per sempre: chi l’avrà vinta? Scritto in maniera frizzante e passionale, davvero carino.

No ha estado mal aunque no sabría decir si me ha gustado o no ya que me ha dejado sin ningún tipo de emoción. Estoy como antes de leerlo, no me acuerdo de practicamente nada de lo que ha pasado... como si en verdad nunca me hubiese sumergido entre sus páginas.
