5/5 ⭐️ This is my third reread of this duet and it still remains a favorite. It was fun, sexy, hilarious, and swoony. Love me a billionaire possessive/obsessed hero 😌.

“I told you it was over”
“And I refused to accept it”

I love Marcus so much. He was very relentless in his pursuit of Emma 🤭

Different from the other books I’ve read, but a must read- I loved Emma and Marcus

2020 Review down below
For book 1: Marcus and Emma... the chemistry between them should be illegal!

Emma decides to seek out a date through a dating app and Marcus consults a matchmaker. Emma hasn’t had a date in a looooong time and Marcus wants to find a suitable woman to be his wife and be fine with his super busy, billionaire lifestyle/work life. They both happen to be at the same restaurant for their dates but it doesn’t turn out to be the way they intended. Emma was going on a date with a guy named Mark and Marcus was going on a date with a woman named Emmaline (or something like that). Once they start talking, Emma thinks that this whole deal is a joke. I mean, in the dating profile of Mark, he loved cats and Marcus doesn’t care for them. So she leaves and forgets her phone. Marcus’s date shows up and they have a pleasant evening, but he can’t stop thinking about Emma and is determined to give her back her phone personally. When he does, the chemistry between them in undeniable and thick.

He gets her to agree to go on a date, they go to dinner, and he starts to kind of become obsessed with her. She’s also someone that doesn’t care for his money and continually insists on paying for her portion of the bill. When they finally kiss, oh man was it intense. Thus their relationship unfolds this way. He can’t stop thinking about her and vice versa. But, she is hesitant because he was looking for a wife in the other woman and Emma doesn’t think she’ll ever be good enough for him.

Oh the cliffhanger! I’m about to delve into book two! The intimate scenes between them... 🔥🔥🔥... the time when they woke up in her apartment 🔥🥵🥵🔥. I don’t know how my kindle is surviving after it. I love AZ books for this reason.

I read reviews about this being an unlikely story to ever happen in real life, but hey, I don’t care. I love to escape while I read. I can’t wait to see how their story concludes.

For book 2: The book continues from where book 1 left off. Emma flies to see her grandparents in Florida but is surprised when she walks in and sees Marcus there. He’s declared that he and Emma are moving in together and her grandparents are ecstatic. Emma doesn’t appreciate that Marcus is trying to force her to move in with him, but he is not one to be easily deterred. When he wants sometimes, and oh MAN does he want Emma (🔥🔥🔥), he will do anything to get it. She is still hesitant because she doesn’t want him to think she wants him for his money. Both of them love each other, but communication is very important and they both need to do more of it.

I loved the book! I couldn’t put it down. Even when the cats “talked”, I found myself giggling. The chemistry between Marcus and Emma is beyond sizzling... it’s so intense, so seductive, so erotic that it made their connection even stronger. It was always more than just sex, which was a fear that they both had and their appetites were insatiable (and, as a reader, I didn’t mind 🤤😅😉🔥). I loved the epilogue. One thing I wonder is if there will be a book with Emma’s and Marcus’ best friends. Now I would love to read that 😊.

And this is why Anne Zaires is one of my favorite authors; I always get completely engrossed and lost in her books. I love it!

it was an easy read but sooooo repetitive. basically same thing happens over and over again in this duet. she's hesitant, he pushes the relationship on her, she can't help but fall in love but continues to deny it, so on and so forth. the only reason i finished it was because it was short and easy to read.

My Thoughts on Wall Street Titan: Book 1

When I read the ebook of this story back in 2019 I was frustrated with the whole experience for a lot of reasons, the main one being the misinformation this book is part of a duet, therefor, not a standalone, but also the characters in general. Marcus was A LOT to process and had the communications of an elephant. None, he had zero communication skills LOL Emma came across as ditzy and not very *smart*, but really, SHE WASN'T. The author, however, didn't really do a good job of exploring or developing either of them on the page so that's why they came across that way. Anywho, at the time of my reading, I didn't go into this much detail because this was a duet and I didn't want to give away any of the storyline before the second book released.

I'm mentioning all this now because while I listened to the ebook, I honestly felt none of those things as vividly as I felt them before because the comedic relief of the story took center stage. Listening to the story allowed me to enjoy the ridiculous shenanigans that Marcus made of his entire pursuit of Emma and also Emma's complete lack of even understanding of the world in general and rigid views on *money*. The entire story was comedy GOLD!

However, no matter how much comedic relief this story held, it's still a very superficial read with very little to almost zero depth. Both Emma and Marcus have life circumstances that they carry on their shoulders that define their views and how they behave and none of it was really explored. This could have been so much more than what it turned out to be and even tho I laugh-cried thru most of the audio AND immediately purchased Wall Street Titan: The Complete Duet so I could continue to listen to their story, I'm very disappointed by that!

My Thoughts on Titan’s Addiction: Book 2

So, this story … turns out ridiculously sexy (sooooo sexy!!) and full of heart. Nicely developed storyline and characters. Perfect blend of opposites that fit like a puzzle piece. A story that will make you smile and laugh from beginning to end. It’s a fantastic feel-good story from an author who normally writes dark and edgy. MAD PROPS to you Anna Zaires! I can’t really say there was much depth to any of it, but it was still ridiculously swoony! And since I love to read light AND dark romances the same, I cannot wait to jump on her backlist ASAP!

The performances of both Sebastian York and Ava Erikson was outstanding. The production had a few dead air pockets to it, but nothing so overt that it got in the way of the listening experience.

This was such a great romance book. I usually read more dark romances but I loved this. Wall Street Titan is just a sweet romance story, that melted my heart. The story is great, nothing spectacular but just the perfect read to relax and enjoy some sweet romance with delicious smut. I love Anna Zaires’ writing and I have another book of her waiting on my tbr pile!

With any kindle deal, it's a 50-50 chance that you'll enjoy it. I didn't enjoy this, I LOVED it! Is it the same basic plot as Fifty Shades of Grey? A little bit, but it didn't have as many of the character flaws that made me cringe. Emma is an independent woman, borderline cat lady (I feel you girl), and was so fun. Trying to adjust some of her thinking, but you can be sure she made Marcus adjust some of his too. No BDSM but the naughty bits were hot! So well written, great characters, enough development and hints dropped about side characters that I'm looking forward to more with this people.

Wall Street Titan by Anna Zaires and Dima Zales is a clichéd and ultimately unsatisfying entry into the billionaire romance genre. Full disclosure: my opinion may be a bit biased because, honestly, billionaires shouldn't exist, even in fiction. The very premise of a morally grey MMC with a heart of gold feels hard to swallow when he's a billionaire—just my personal take.

Now, let’s start with the positives. Emma does stand up to Marcus more than most FMCs do when it comes to her morals and values, which I appreciated. That’s a win in my book.

But the not-so-good? Well, let's get into it.

First, can we please retire the trope where the MMC dubs the FMC with some generic nickname within minutes of meeting her? It’s cringeworthy. And why does only the MMC get to use a nickname? Let the FMC return the favor.

Alpha Zone? Really?

Emma’s character is oddly inconsistent. She’s adamant about splitting bills at every meal, but when Marcus essentially forces her to move in with him, there’s no consideration of a backup plan. She comes off as stubborn about the wrong things.

Marcus, on the other hand, is much more fleshed out, with his growth shown through his POV chapters. But his amusement at Emma’s very real anger feels insulting. Worse, his view of her setting boundaries as "cute" is equally dismissive. And his shift from wanting space to declaring, “she’s mine forever,” happens in the blink of an eye—literally. It feels rushed and forced.

The biggest issue here is the insta-love romance. Their connection feels rushed, with zero build-up to justify the intensity of their relationship. Their bond escalates too quickly, making it hard to believe in their feelings or get emotionally invested in them.

Instead of focusing on why Marcus and Emma are genuinely perfect for each other, the book spends too much time on physical attraction and pages of Marcus pushing Emma’s boundaries in the bedroom. Speaking of which, if Marcus is truly God’s gift to men, why does Emma play such a passive role in their intimate moments? Come on, girl—take charge. Feminism!

Ultimately, Wall Street Titan leans heavily on overused tropes, leaving little room for meaningful character development or emotional depth. It’s predictable, formulaic, and doesn’t offer anything new or compelling for fans of the genre.

This book is very different from the other books I have read by this author but not in a bad way. To me it just says this author knows how to write and she is an amazing author. I enjoyed the books but I did feel like things were dragging along. That is why I only gave it 4 stars. I had to take a break In between book one and two. But I am glad to have finished.

The hot as sin alpha crazy obsession male Marcus is looking for a wife. He is a billionaire on Wall Street. He made his own money by hard work but now at 35 he feels it’s time to find a wife. So he goes to a matchmaker. Who set him up with a women with her own family money. Before he meets her he gets mistaken as Emma’s date and they have it out for a little while before she runs away from his rudeness. He can not stop thinking about Emma and as luck would have it she left her phone and he needs to return it. When he returns it to her he talks her into a date. And things move along from there. Although she is hesitant because of her history with her mother using people for money. She is very independent and doesn’t like for anyone to pay for her. While Marcus has his own family issues and that’s what keeps him driven at work but there is just something about the little redhead he can’t get over. So even after she sends him away he keeps coming back for more. He is a bit of a stalker but only in the beat way possible. He pushes her own of her comfort and she bends sometimes. She still strong in her ways but they come to an agreement that seems to work for both of them. Things continue to move on and they grow stronger together. Like I said they both have issues from there passed but there is one thing they both want. Love. A family.

Wall Street Titan, the complete duet, by Anna Zaires was thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining!

Emma and Marcus are delightful, are addictive, charming, and you can't help but fall in love with them.

Emma has some baggage, yet is so sweet and kind and endearing and feisty, with a spine of steel when she really cares, but also willing to bend for those she loves, and when she loves, she's committed.

Marcus was delicious and overbearing and charming and a smooth talker and hyper focused on getting what he wanted, and going to extra mile to accomplish what he set out to do. That single minded determination made for great storytelling and also some delightful bumps in the road that needed some quick thinking and clever navigating.

This story has some light angst and drama, starts off as a charming case misidentification, and frenemies to lovers vibes, alongside a serious helping of cats, leaving you with a story you can disappear into and thoroughly be captivated by!

So, dive in! Fall in love! Be swept off your feet, and find the happiness you deserve, just like Emma and Marcus do! And, be ready for some hilarious pet antics!

OMG WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING ARSEHOLE
The more I kept reading the angrier I got. Little titan Marcus is borderline manipulative, controlling and toxic to the point that gets concerning. He has absolutely no regard for Emma's feelings as long as he gets what he wants and what he wants is to have her just so he could have his fill, scratch an itch all the while entertaining the idea of a trophy wife once his little obsession with her is over. Him justifying himself about his actions was so fucking laughable. Get overyourself already.

I don't even want to get started on Emma. She allowed him time after time to treat her poorly, play her like a violin based on some fucking lame excuses. She fell for it even when homeboy ghosted her for days just so he could prove to himself that he could, then just appeared and demanded she moved in with him. I wish she had a stronger backbone and would go on about her life without as much as a glance to him. He might have about a couple billion $, but he was an absolutely worthless piece of shit

What a GOOD story! The narration is incredible, and the plot is refreshing, featuring an independent woman who, for once, is NOT swept off her feet immediately by the charming billionaire she unintentionally becomes involved with. The spice is great as well.
This is absolutely worth the credit and I’ll be recommending this book to everyone!

The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the ending felt rushed, considering the conflict took up the entirety of the books yet was solved in the last half hour. Marcus has some SERIOUS type-A, control-freak, possessive tendencies (I DID LOVE that about him,) which are completely incompatible with Miss Independent, and I think adding a second conflict when she finds out about his actions would have been more consistent with her character (and made the story even deeper.)

The books were pretty realistic with the exception of the end, and I had a very enjoyable experience overall.

So sad it’s over

I was going to give this four stars, but I am so incredibly sad that it’s over which is the sign of a truly great book so I am giving it the 5 stars it clearly deserves.

What didn’t work for me was the whole cat lady thing and I knew this going in, but I love Anna Zaires and I was in a serious book slump. The other thing that almost didn’t work were the h’s issues with money because it clearly just existed to create a point of friction in the relationship, but as soon as I was “so over it” it started to resolve so in the end it was ok.

What worked for me was absolutely everything else about this book! I am madly in love with Marcus and Emma they were great characters and an even better couple. I also loved their BFFs and I can’t wait to read their story whenever it comes out.

In conclusion Anna Zaires is the best and I will never doubt her again.

Make a list of what you need in a wife, then see what happens .

I think there must be a lot of people who write lists of what they want to have in their life so they don’t get distracted in going after what they want. Things like what you want in a perfect mate, the best college or job or the perfect home. What happens to their lists when they see people, things, or places that definitely are not on the list but appeal to something in inside them that makes them follow their heart or their hunches like it’s the Pied Piper’s music. Have you ever done that? Follow Emma and Max as they ignore their lists and go along for the rides of their life! I gave it 4 stars as I surprisingly wanted more story and less sex.

This here was a classic book-judge-cover situation for me. And because of this, I almost missed the best Sunday reading day in the last year.
Do NOT let this pink, romcom-esque cover throw you. This book is not all sweet, light, silly with cleaver dialog and an adorable meet-cute.
This book has just the right amount of bite, alpha-hole H and an h with a spine to keep this fan of the dark and savage completely hooked. And, I feel as if, the rom-com fan would also be quite pleased.
Fantastic read and I can’t wait for more from this author. She’s definitely staying on my watch/ one-click list.

Good but predictable

The first book was an original story but made the heroine out very hard core on paying her way no matter what. It seemed like the hero took a while to warm up and didn't explain much as to why.

The second book tried hard to fill in the blanks as to why they were both the way they were without much give to let them fall in love naturally. In the end, predictable pasts were to blame and the predictable climax putting a life in danger to sum everything thing up quickly. All in all, not bad.
