I’ve had a crush on Lawson O’Connor since forever but it can never be, he’s my older brother’s best friend.

I always thought the feelings were one-sided but recently, I’m beginning to suspect otherwise.

A subtle touch here.
An inappropriate comment there.
A smoldering look.
A sexy wink.

And then it happens, we hook up.

It’s everything I ever imagined and more but we can never be, can we?

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fast paced, steamy, with the will they-won't they, best friend's brother, sort of forbidden romance tropes filled novel.

I loved the writing style, the romance and the steaminess, the characters' banter, the family, all of it.

Just wished they explored their backgrounds more...so I could connect more with them. That's it.

Until the next read,

Mia is always a bridesmaid never a bride. Lawson is Mia’s brother best friend. They all seam to be doing the wedding circuit together. Mia has had a crush on Lawson since she was 10. Lawson and Mia have developed an insane chemistry that is becoming hard to ignore and to hide from her brother. This is a cute quick sexy read.

"When you’ve had a crush on your brothers best friend for years and it looks like it just might be reciprocated? This is a trope I can read time and again. Mia & Lawson are great together and when they finally take the plunge it is near impossible from them to stay away from each other.
This is a super quick read, but that doesn’t stop this from being a great little story that I honestly enjoyed.
Would definitely read more from this author again. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book."

Lawson is celebrating with friends. Mia can’t believe what she’s hearing. This was a great romantic read from beginning to end. There were a couple of moments where you start to wonder if a roadblock is coming but it was merely a bump in the road.

Having the story told in the first person, you know exactly what the other is thinking and there’s no mistaking what they want. If you’re having a bad day at work, or maybe a stressful day, and you want something that might lift your spirits then this book may help with that. There wasn’t anything about this book that I didn’t like. I got a few chuckles from it, got just the right amount of heat and felt a little sorry for the main characters. Having a nice surprise at the end was also very pleasing. The story made me curious though. Since this was my introduction to the author, I had to wonder if I will find the other couples and I’m sure I’ll have fun finding out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Mia doesn’t remember a time that she hasn’t loved her brother’s best friend Lawson, but she also believes they have two strikes against them which are her brother and the fact that he will never see her as more than a friend.

When Lawson sees Mia at a friend’s wedding, he finally sees her as the woman she is and not his best friend’s sister. After realizing she feels the same way he isn’t about to let anyone or anything stand in their way and that includes his best friend.

The interactions between them were humorous and hot and I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Lawson and Mia unfold especially with the input from their friends and family.

This book is a little gem. I loved every minute of it. I love a good brothers best friend read but this one was so damn cute I couldn't get enough. Mia has always had a crush on Lawson but she knows nothing will come of it until the day Lawson gives her the look and starts to flirt with her. They start to dance around the fine line and then they take the plunge and cross over. They are enamored with each other but can they be? What will her brother think of the two of them together?

Dreams Do Come True

Mia has pounded after Lawson for ages but he never really saw her.  When that changes, Mia learns that dreams do come true.  The story is funny, cute, and yummy!  I read this as part of the Summer Heat anthology.

Addison and Liam did a marvellous job bringing Mia and Lawson's story to life.
It was short but spicy, it made me smile and laugh and was generally a feel-good story.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a shorter audiobook.

The brother's best friend / best friend's little sister romance story is a tale as old as time - it is one of the most popular love tropes out there. And for good reason because it makes for a good story. The risk in the romance is already there and things are automatically complicated. In Oops, the new contemporary romance novella by D.L. Gallie, she takes this trope and goes full steam ahead.

Mia and Lawson have known each other their whole lives because Lawson is Mia's brother's best friend. Mia has always had a crush on Lawson, but she never in her wildest dreams thought anything would come of it. That is until all of a sudden, he starts flirting with her. Lawson opens his eyes one day and sees Mia as a woman, and not only as his best friend's little sister. He wants her even though he knows he shouldn't. When the two of them try to see where their romance can go, they do it in secret. Will Mia's brother find out and ruin their chances at happiness? Will Lawson's relationship with Mia's brother be ruined because of their romance? Is it worth the risk?

This was a short and sweet romance and it definitely followed the trope to a tee. If you had a checklist of how the story should go, you could easily mark the whole thing off. Unfortunately, there were no surprises and we didn't really get to know the characters. Normally I love the predictability of a good rom-com, but I guess I was hoping for a bit more. I did like the steamy bits, but it might have been good to balance those parts with a bit of insight into who these characters were. But, if you are looking for an easy, sexy, short read, then this is definitely the book for you. It had funny moments and kept things light - and sometimes that is just what a reader needs.

Oops is a sexy frowned upon saucy story. Everyone knows about the bro code. Until Lawson O'Connor his best friend Travis Templeton, and Travis's little sister Mia.

Mia has had a crush on her brother's best friend Lawson since she was 10years old. Never wanting to be the cause of their friendship ending. Mia just watches from the sidelines.
Always the bridesmaid never the bride. After a series of weddings within their circle of friends Mia thinks she is reading too much into Lawson and his flirty behaviour. Is it just her imagination?.
I loved reading this sexy novella the sexual chemistry was insane. The storyline with these characters needs to continue.

I've read a few books by this author and I must say that I enjoyed every single one.
DL Gallie is the author that I'm talking about and you guys should give her a chance.
Her writing can be sweet and intense, funny, and hot as hell.
Oops is her latest release and explores the lives of Mia and Lawson.
Mia has been in love with her brother's best friend since forever, but her love for her brother empowers everything so she opted to stay on the sidelines.
Lawson takes his friendship very seriously until the day he sees Mia as the beautiful woman she is...
This book was awesome...
Perfect plot, well written, super engaging, and funny.
And let's not forget the hot stuff... Hell yeah.
It was so good that I've read it in one sitting... I couldn't stop.
I've read one chapter, thinking that I was going to stop, but then I didn't.
I read and read nonstop.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and you could see the emotions they were feeling.
This book nailed it like I knew it would.
Great book DL Gallie. Great. Can't wait to read the next one.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Fast paced enjoyable quick read

This was a good, fast paced brothers best friend romance. It was steamy and well written for the most part. I liked both of the characters and together they were super cute. You're thrown into the action which annoyed me a little as I would have loved a longer story with some backstory to see the connection between the characters beforehand. Even some flashbacks to their life when then they were younger would have made this go from a good read to a great read. I was also confused by the setting of this book, as the author is Australian and the language was very Aussie english but later on it seemed to be not set in Australia which was odd. There was also some unnecessary chapters that were just paragraphs of the same silly repeated thing in each character's pov. They didn't add to the story. I did enjoy this story though and I would read more by this author.

Mia has been crushing on her brothers best friend for years. During wedding season, when all their friends were getting married, Lawson started flirting back. What started as an innocent touch here and wink there, landed them in bed together. But it could never go beyond one hook up... Right?

Okay, what can I say about Oops?

It is a brothers best friend romance. Short, sweet and cute.

Mia has always had a thing for her older brothers best friend. But because of the bro-code, where sisters were definitely off limits, nothing could ever happen.

But in a turn of events in the midst of attending their friends' wedding, Lawson started flirting back. One thing led to another, and oops... Mia and Lawson slept together.

The book was short, I read it within a couple hours. Sweet, and cute- I love the siblings best friend trope. This book was light and fun. A good quick read that I enjoyed. 3.5 ⭐ out of 5⭐.

This could be a lot better. I'm just gonna throw my words out there so there may be a lot of grammar mistakes. This story gets an extra star only because I was able to make it to the ned and because of its one of my favourite tropes. That also means that I've read a lot of books in this trope and this may be one of my least favourites. While it was pretty okay, it was a bit boring. Or slow as some might say. All the events were expected. There was way too much vulgarness if you get where I'm coming from. Just warning you. This story had a lot of potentials. It was a good idea and was fine in the starting. It felt like it was slow and fast at the same time. Events were randomly thrown in and disorganized.

I loved Mia and Lawson's story. I'm a sucker for the forbidden best friend's little sister romance. This read is fast, fun, flirty, and down right sexy. While Mia has had a crush on Lawson for nearly her entire life, the bro-code has kept Lawson from seeing her all grown up. A series of weddings in their circle of friends keeps throwing the couple together and he sees her in a new light, even though they both fear the outcome if their feelings are revealed.
D.L. Gallie is a master of fun reads full of great banter and sexy times that are off the charts. I always kind of like a secret tryst romance and the threat of being found out adds to the excitement. While Mia and Lawson are on the road to their HEA the road has at least one or two very big roadblocks. Want to warm up your weekend? Grab Oops and settle in and let this couple set your weekend alight.

Oh boy this book was amazing. I laughed, I teared up, I laughed some more, fanned myself when it got steamy, and then laughed some more. Seriously a great read. I always love a good forbidden love and in most cases what is more forbidden then falling in love with your brother best friend, or your best friends little sister? When Lawson finally sees Mia as a beautiful woman and not just his best friend's little sister, he is captivated and will let nothing stand in his way of making her his. She has had a crush on him forever and finds it hard to believe his truly flirting with her. Neither of them are prepared for how fast they fall. Such a fun and fast read.

Oops is a short(ish) read that is easily read in an afternoon. Mia has been in love with her brother's best friend Logan, since she was a girl, but of course he never gave her a second glance. The moment he sees grown up Mia, he knows he's in trouble because he wants her badly but bro code you know. The chemistry they have is undeniable so it's only a matter of time before Oops, they're in bed together. Now comes the part where they make decisions about what they want, and are they willing for for the fallout to be together. So hit those one click buttons to see which path they take! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mia has had feelings for Lawson for a long time but she does not think anything can come of it. He is her brother's best friend. I like these stories and although I understand why this is a taboo, it is frustrating because someone besides the couple is determining who gets to want to be together either actively or passively. Anyhow, they are at the same wedding and he finally wakes up and sees her as a grown woman and since they realize they both want one another it is neat that they proceed and let things develop.

Such a great cute story! I loved it. Leave it to DL to pack all the feels into 100 pages! I don't know how she does it.

Mia has been in love with Lawson since she was 10-years-old, but he's her brother's best friend and that's against bro-code.

Lawson has always seen Mia as his best friends little sister, until one wedding changes everything.

Lawson had so many swoony moments and Mia was all of us with our crushes having a hard time believing that it was real. This book was realistic and I loved every second of it! All the side bets were hilarious! A great cast of characters in this world!

Mia was always a bridesmaid and had been in love with her older brother’s best friend since she was a little girl. Lawson hadn’t seen Mia in a while but now at this wedding they were both in the he realized his feelings for Mia were more than than for his best friend’s little sister. The fun romance between Mia and Lawson starts with a secret rendezvous’ while they have exciting and wedding filled weekends until their secret was revealed and Mia’s brother wanted to rain on their parade. Oops. Fun read with fun characters.

This was such a quick, cute , sweet and fun read. I listened to this on Spotify. It was a ALC from Dark Star Romance! Mia has had a crush on Lawson since she was 10. Lawson and Mia have developed an insane chemistry that is becoming hard to ignore and to hide from her brother. Mia was a bridesmaid in a bunch of friend/family wedding and Lawson noticed her and started to fall for her. He tried so hard not to fall for his best friends sister but fate had other ideas. I love how cute this book was. It was in first person POV. The Narrators for this book was absolutely awesome I felt like they fit perfectly in with what the characters would sound like.

Audiobook Review. Opps By DL Fallie When you have a lot of friends and all of them get married except for you, it can get annoying.

This is how we meet Mia, who is always a bridesmaid at someone else's wedding.

The man she wants is so out of reach that it isn't funny.

The man in question, is her older brother's best friend, Lawson.

So, when sparks fly, they fly. The steamy scenes were hot and making you want more.

I listened to this audiobook. The narrators were perfect in their roles! I would definitely listen to other books both have narrated!

Another winner for DL! ~brier insta: booksnbriers

Lawson was Mia's brothers best friend.

Mia had been inlove with Lawson since she was little.

Mia and her brother Travis was very close and he was very protective of her.

Lawson started noticing Mia and a wedding that she was a brides maid.

Mia was scared to start anything up with Lawson due to thinking it will ruin there friend ship.

Mia and Lawson finally got together at a second wedding a few weeks later and then they started dating behind Travis back.

Lawson and Mia's relationship was very Hot and steamy
