Bluey and Bingo share why their dad is awesome in this hilarious and heartwarming picture book, featuring everyone's favorite Heelers.
Based on the on the wildly successful animated series, Bluey, as seen on Disney+
Everyone loves Bandit, but especially Bluey and Bingo! He's always making up funny games, playing Daddy Robot, and taking them on exciting adventures. This is the perfect book to celebrate your dad on Father's Day, or any day, and share what makes him awesome!
Bluey is a 6 year old Blue Heeler pup who loves to play. Her parents and teacher give her lots of time to practice, which means she’s become very good at inventing games, helping everyone choose their roles and deciding on the rules. Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself.
Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.
Este foi um daqueles livros que tive que comprar para agradar ao pequenote. É um livro engraçado, uma colagem de situações da série que envolvem o pai Bandit, e que agrada com certeza a fãs dedicados da Bluey, como é o caso aqui por casa.
Love this book for kids and dad! Super silly Bluey and super cute content for a great read. Everyone gets a good laugh. One of the best kids book for dad that’s I’ve read.
A Father's Day cash-grab that I am not ashamed to say I bought into. There is nothing overly special about this book, other than we are just crazy about anything Bluey in this household. And (despite being a cartoon dog), Bandit is a great model for the ideal Australian father: loving, engaged, fun, fair.
If a reader knows this show well, this book is a fun nod to a number of episodes that show just how awesome and thoughtful Bluey and Bingo's dad is. It also allows for some mistakes and faults too. If one is not familiar with the show, it doesn't make as much sense and it's not always clear which of Bandit's daughters (bluey or bingo) are narrating.
This and the book “My Mum is the Best” are definitely enjoyable by parents and kids who are fans of the show, as they are basically books compiling lots of funny and sweet moments from the show - no new content, which is ok. It is fun to recall which episode each image happened in, and you discover that while you definitely know Bluey and Bingo’s accent and mannerisms, it’s actually much harder to read (as an American) in character than you think it would be! 😅 Otherwise, the setup and content of the book are a-ok, but new content would be awesome.
Very cute small book about loving your dad including his faults. Its a bit tough to read out loud since it alternates between Bingo and Bluey telling the story and my kid-Australian accent isn't so spot on as i'd like. But i'm learning with my limited experience of this show, Crocodile Dundee, Chris Hemsworth, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and a movie called Welcome to Woop Woop. Its a good bed-time book and seems to have overtaken the Just Like Dad book from the Little Critter series with our son.
I read my dad is awesome today and it was easy to read and very fun/funny. Summary: in the book there was a little bit of banter between bluey and bingo. It was about two dogs that are sister and 2 years apart that are like best friends.
highlights: it was really funny. good pictures. nice and easy to read and relaxing. it did not have to many words on the page.
low lights: it was very long.
I would say this book is for 4–10-year-old kids. give this book 4 stars out of 5.
I enjoyed reading this book and like its references to a TV show that I love. The artwork (still shots from the show) looks pretty and is well represented. I didn't enjoy that Bluey and Bingo were arguing while telling the story (it felt a little obnoxious, annoying, and kind of negative). The storyline is kind of disjointed as well (all of the Bluey books kind of are this way because they are just referencing moments from the show).
You really have to be into Bluey, but this is very fun for my granddaughters to read--they are huge Bluey fans--and the whole family had Bluey themed Hallowe'en costumes as well. The messages here are good: Dad is reliable, safe, and protective, but not a super hero. And the text is charmingly littered with Aussie phrases.
Perfect book for Fathers Day. Both my boys (the whole house really) just love Bluey and her family. They are an excellent example of a family and creates multiple opportunities for chats with the kids. Just love it.
I mean it's sweet. It's about how like no matter if we do x, y, and z dad is still awesome and he loves us. It gives way too many examples from the show to get the point across. It could have been a lot shorter.
If you are a fan of Bluey on Disney+, then you'll enjoy this book. With all the colorful illustrations on the pages, it will appeal to children as well as their parents. This book can be enjoyed again and again. I am a grandma and really liked it!
What an absolute hot mess of a book. It's way too long, and the alternating narrators are hard to follow. For those who haven't seen the cartoons, the illustrations do not always provide enough support to the text.
I'm happy I had the chance to read this book; I have been a big fan of the show and reading this book it did not disappoint it's as funny and wholesome as the show and I can wait to find more of them.
