Now that Rachel is married to Isaac, Miriam employs the young Amish woman, Martha, to work at Eden. The vandalism escalates, the suspects again being the rival B&B owners. Yet is it vandalism, or looters searching for Captain Kidd’s lost treasure?
Martha is drawn to the Amish man, James, but is James betrothed to an Englischer? While Martha searches for love at Eden, she first has to figure out who she can trust.
USA Today Best-selling author Ruth Hartzler spends her days writing, walking her dog, and thinking of ways to murder somebody. That's because Ruth writes cozy mysteries and adventures. She is best known for her archaeological adventures, for which she relies upon her former career as a college professor of ancient languages and Biblical history.
Good clean read that provides a fast paced plot and easy to like characters. The mystery that is woven in adds an extra layer to the story. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Another great book provided by my kindle unlimited subscription.
While I liked this second book, I couldn't get past some of the inconsistency, some of the sentences had missing/mixed up words. James eyes went from green to brown and back to green in one sentence, the rival owners name went from Bedshill to Smith and back. I won't bother with the third book.
