I Know Jesus Christ Is Real, is a candid, spiritual and philosophical memoir aimed at adults. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ is real. Time after time, he has appeared to me to comfort, challenge, rebuke, encourage, provide, heal, rescue, or gave me a message to deliver. Hoping to bring others to a relationship with their Lord and Savior, I have opened up my life in my memoir, sharing both the bad and the good as honestly as possible, witnessing the ongoing presence and activity of God in my everyday experiences.
From my earliest childhood onward, I have met Jesus, heard God's Voice, and been swept up in the power of the Holy Spirit through dreams, visions, internal conversations, and encounters with others, many of which I have described in vivid detail in my book. I have seen miraculous things. In both my native Jamaica and in my adopted homeland, the USA, God has impacted mightily on my life, and I know that God wants to do the same for others. It is my prayer that this book can serve as a vehicle for bringing God's love and saving grace to as many as can be reached. I've told my story hoping you'll believe that God loves you too. God can provide for you, help you, heal you, befriend you, reform you, and fill your heart with joy in some truly wondrous ways because Jesus Christ is not just some fairy tale or some ancient person in a book who lived way back when. Jesus Christ is real. And he's here and now.
I Know Jesus Christ Is Real is my attempt to enable the Holy Spirit to reveal himself all over again in a way that can impact your journey with God, drawing you ever closer to the one who longs to be your Lord and Savior and fill your life with good things. I pray that my story can help you look at your own with eyes wide open to God's glory and goodness.
Melinda T. Deir-Boyette's memoir, "I Know Jesus Christ is Real" is what I call a spiritual rollercoaster. God blessed Melinda with the gift of knowledge when she was a little girl, and she uses her gift throughout her life. God speaks to her in visions and dreams. The Holy Spirit guides and comforts her. She wrote about times when God told her to pray for people. When they received deliverance, she told them to give praise and thanks to God.
Melinda mentions times when God either rewarded her, or gave her a wake up call. God loves us, but He also knows when to give us correction. I like how transparent Melinda is with sharing her strong and weak moments. She is not bashful, and she tells her story authentically.
Melinda shares many mind-blowing events that took place in her life. She is very detailed in telling her story, so while reading, I did not have to wonder how one event connected to other events. Melinda does not keep her readers wondering or guessing why or how an event happened, because she always follows up with an explanation that includes, Jesus Christ is real. Melinda also emphasizes why her readers should know that Jesus Christ is real. If you are a non-believer, your eyes will definitely be opened to the One and only true, living God who orchestrates our lives, and reveals that we all have a purpose. Melinda gives the reminder that God always wants what is best for us. He is a loving God, and always has the final say. Satan has the power to interfere, but he cannot win when God is in control.
As a firm Christian and believer who knows that Jesus Christ is real, I know how God has personally moved in my life, and in the lives of people I know. I am always blessed to learn about other stories from Christian speakers and authors, because everyone has different testimonies that give glory to God, and proclaim that all things are possible through Him. Melinda's memoir explains that there is no situation that Jesus cannot change or turn around. Her story made me remember the well-known phrase, "Don't let your past dictate your future." If you are crippled by your past, or if you are currently at a point in your life where you just cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel, let go and give all of your worries and concerns to God. Pray, trust God and do not lean on your own understanding, because Jesus works in mysterious ways. As humans, we are prone to look at the big picture of our lives and wonder how all of the pieces will come together. While reading, I recalled this popular quote: "If you can trust a puzzle company to make sure every piece is in the box to complete the puzzle, then why can't you trust God that every piece of your life is there for a reason?" -Unknown. Yes, Christians with strong faith can testify that there are times when we feel weary while wrestling through tough times, or maybe we are in a season where everything seems so still, and it seems like God is no where to be found. Melinda mentions moments when she felt frustrated, because she thought that God abandoned her. She follows up by stating that this is what Satan wants us to believe; however, God says in His Word that He will never leave nor forsake us.
I also reflected on Les Brown's quote: "Don't let someone else's opinion of you become your reality." Melinda encountered many discouraging periods in her life as a child growing up, because there were times when she lived alone, and had to take care of herself. Her mother suffered from mental illness, and walked the streets. Her father was imprisoned. People said negative and hurtful things to Melinda, because of her circumstance. These are just a few of the many factors that made her life difficult, and at the same time made her stronger.
Whenever God spoke to Melinda, I thought of certain scripture verses. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall." (Isaiah 55:11) Whatever message God spoke to Melinda, came to fruition in the way that the Lord pleased. It was amazing, especially when Melinda delivered words from the Lord to other people. When people were able to see God's words come to pass, they rejoiced and their faith in God grew stronger. The other verse I thought about is Romans 4:17, the verse that speaks about calling those things that are not as though they are.
Romans 4:17 "(as it is written, 'I have made you a father of many nations) in the presence of Him whom he believed-God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."
Whenever God spoke to Melinda, He told her to speak into the atmosphere in this way. She spoke with the power God gave her, so she spoke life into stagnant circumstances, and healing to the sick. She spoke victory to the hopeless, and joy to the broken-hearted. She spoke peace to minds that needed to be set free. She also spoke words of salvation to people who needed to know that Jesus Christ is real, and needed to accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior. This is all God's doing. God uses people today as His instruments, just like He used people in the Bible. God still uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
There is so much to experience as Melinda takes you through the journey of her life, in knowing without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is real. Read this memoir, and discover that Jesus Christ is real! If you already know that Jesus Christ is real, read this memoir and be blessed by Melinda's testimonies and supernatural experiences. Touch and agree with her in her moments of shared prayers, and let her story remind you that Jesus is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all that we ask or think.
I recommend Melinda's memoir to both Christians and non-believers. If you enjoy learning how Jesus moves in supernatural ways, read this memoir and be ready to experience the wondrous ways in which He works. You will be amazed at Jesus' wonderful sense of humor. There are moments that will make you smile and laugh. Also, Melinda has a witty personality. She never beats around the bush with stating how she feels about things or people. She expresses herself very freely. Her personality is bold and dominant. You will find yourself rooting for her, and laughing with her, like I did. Enjoy how she takes you with her on her journey from growing up in Kingston, Jamaica to currently living in North Carolina with her husband and two sons. This memoir is so powerful. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars. I received a copy of this memoir for review, and what I expressed is my honest opinion.
I felt compelled to chose and then read this book. I feel connected to this author somehow. Through this book I understand more about how to worship God, and how involved in our lives he really is. I can see how to search him out and include him in my daily life. I am blessed to have read this book! I will return to it many times! I recommend this book to anyone who seems God.
I was very interested to see how differently God deals with individuals and cultures. His direct action with this soul very likely is a result of her being somewhat psychic and very emotional. She makes good points and gives good advice, even though her life experience is exotic compared to the average American's.

Introduction
Based on my reading, deductive and inductive logical interpretation, this memoir is awesome! I love the essence of the words therein. They are very impacting, uplifting, and inspiring to the mind, body, and soul. By reading this memoir and my personal observation, it’s interesting to note how people will display doubts regarding one’s accomplishments and future, which is clearly stated on the pages. My belief is the same as the author— “All things are possible through Jesus, and endeavour undertaken, should be accomplished through His never-failing strength, entrenched in us.”
The spiritual revelations in this book, reflect triumph over temporal things. This book shows, how deterrence was expressed against faith of moving forward, by trying to focus attention on worldly things, and not spiritual ones, such as the author’s house, car, job, etc. They were only worldly! Things of such nature are like the chaff driven away by the wind. (Psalm 1:4). This book clearly shows, that spirituality is connecting with God’s perspectives, and are always: bigger, higher, stronger, and deeper. It produces sacredness of transcendent, involving a profound perception of living life with God’s interconnectedness based on His omnipotent, omnipresence, and omniscience power over worldwide humanity. These are great reflections from the author.
The essence of this memoirs also shows, “We walk by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Many today are living without foresight or hindsight for correct perception. Based on the author’s trip to New York City in 2011, Gods’ plans were in action. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, states “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Faithfully committing one’s self to the spiritual path— “Achievement is inevitable!”
The home going of the author’s beloved aunt is a learning experience. Many texts reflect the thoughts of “When one door closes, another opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened” (Alexander Graham Bell). It shows that Christ didn’t look regrettably upon the manger of His birth; He traveled forward and fulfilled His calling. As noted in the text, satan will always come and try to concur, or destroy. Gods’ words are emblematical, “Get thee behind me satan!” I love the way the text uplifts God grace and love of never leaving or ending. As summarized in various books, we must hold on to God’s unchanging hands. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrew 13:8). The author never let go of God’s hands nor the hem of His garment
The texts show, how Christ places His saints in positions to shine His natural light in places mentioned such as: Tivoli Garden, Waterford High, Child Services Division, Maxwell Park Home of Safety, and Kingston Public Hospital, which were parts of the knitted quilt along the path to obtaining God’s blessings on the author’s family. The text shows, God never places, or leaves anyone in situations they cannot bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). God’s angels are along the way, watching and waiting for His words to give one wings, to rise, and sour like a majestic eagle, which reflected perfectly in the book.
I appreciate how the text evolves and reflects on the author’s courage displayed. It teaches that, we should never allow anyone to speak over our lives except God. No devil, psychic, voodoo priest, card sharks, evil spirit, devilish CEO, tactical manipulator, disguised wolf in sheep clothing, iniquity workers, various types and labels of schemers and deceivers, and the like, shall not have any dominion, over the lives of God’s people. Only God has the final say! The text uplifts the principles of, letting God turn your negatives into positives. Allowing Him to always feed your faith and stay with His people—not the devil’s. Showing other that when they count you out—God has already counted you in His fold. It illustrates how one should keep God on the throne of grace and not people with—crooked ways! It reinforces one to consider His promise not—the devil’s problem! It strengthens one to stay on the high road and—get off the low, and don’t worry about those who are against you, but join with those who are—with you in God’s grace, mercy, and love. I love how these principles of revelation as displayed in the text.
The ending sections of this memoirs is reminiscent of the combined birth and resurrection of Jesus. It’s like Moses walking through the Red Sea, with a nation behind him; King Nebuchadnezzar, accepting the true God after throwing Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the fiery furnace and watching them shine with God divine protection; and, King Saul prostrating himself before God and man from trying to kill his own son-in-law David, married to his daughter, Michal, who saved his life. This book is packed with the revelations of God’s faith, grace, and blessings. It a must read and recommendation for others to read!

Melinda Deir-Boyette meticulously exposes a life of learning how to strengthen her relationship with God despite forces attempting to thwart it. This is an honest step by step lesson on not giving up on God because He has not given up on her. The story skips around so don't expect a chronology of her life.
In this honest memoir, author Melinda Deir Boyette narrates her walk with God and intimate relationship with Jesus. It is a powerful incentive for anyone seeking to increase his or her faith. God is within reach and the author is here to prove it.
The book is the story of Melinda's life. There are wonderful accounts of miracles, but also accounts that would not be appropriate to share with children. I did appreciate her candor. Life is messy and she pulls no punches. All in all a good book that bears witness to the miraculous and shares openly and honestly the testimony of Melinda's life in the supernatural.
The book reads like a fiction novel. The author is vivid in her descriptions and clearly blessed with sensitivities that allow her to communicate with angels.
I honestly had no intention of reading through this book in just two days but I just could not stop myself from turning the pages, even while sitting in church. I love the transparency of this author and her story is truly inspiring. I realize while reading that we do hear the voice of God but we mostly ignore it thereby missing out on truly walking with Him. I have renewed my commitment to listen more thanks to this book.
