Author Rob O'Hara returns to the world of BBSes in Commodorkier: New Tales from an Old Dork. Released fifteen years after Commodork: Sordid Tales from a BBS Junkie, Rob revisits his original work in this companion piece by expanding on old stories, clarifying a few mysteries, and sharing dozens of new tales and adventures as only Rob can.
Won't give final rating because I didn't finish the book. I enjoyed the first book of this 'series', however this book was basically a compilation of what could've been footnotes throughout the previous book. There's almost no logical order and the author basically comments while reading the first book.
As a sidenote: in the introduction the author complains about people downloading/reading his books without paying for them. Which is very ironic, given that the author showed no remorse whatsoever whe' he was downloading software worth millions.
If you loved Commodork then DO NOT read this book. This isn't a new book, this is the author revising some of this stories from the first book. Most of the book can be reducted to the author saying "Hey, you remember that story I told in the first book? I'd like to change the details of how it happened".
If the author released another book with actual new tales then I would read it as his first book was great.
