Will her childhood ranch put their hearts on the same path?
Evangeline has vowed to cross men out of her life. As if getting dumped for another woman wasn’t bad enough, she’s still waiting on her deadbeat dad to sign over her late mother’s bookstore. And when a rough-and-tumble cowboy shows up to rent her family’s homestead, she’s sure it’s a recipe for disaster.
Divorcé Denny is no stranger to hard work. So when he signs a rent-to-purchase contract, he thinks his biggest challenge will be herding cattle. Instead, he finds himself suddenly saddled with a two-year-old daughter he never knew he had and sharing a roof with his feisty new neighbor.
Reluctantly agreeing to help him set up the house, Evangeline starts to see the softer side of the rugged rancher. But when another offer threatens Denny’s deal, he fears his bright future with the beautiful bookworm could all fall apart.
Will Evangeline and Denny find a way to keep their love alive and build their happy future?

Evangeline's somewhat dead beat dad send a stranger to her with a message and the ok to rent that apartment at the book store. When she gets the message through Denny she isn't the nicest person in the world and they get off to a very rocky start. Denny's life seems to be in a free fall with everything that is happening in quick succession. Evangeline reaches out to help Denny against her better judgement. Feelings are stirred up from several directions and maybe there can actually be something happen that no one was expecting and be for the good of all. As you near the end of the story, think 'Gift of the Magi'. Very sweet story!
I love when couples literally fall into relationships when neither is expecting a romance. Ever After, the second in Carolyne Aarsen's Family Promised series, tells the story of Evangeline and Denny. Neither of them is anticipating a relationship. Evangeline is waiting for her father to release the bookstore of her deceased mother. Denny wanders into town looking for a quiet break in his life. The store owner and the cowboy couldn't be more different. But they are drawn to each other.
If you like clean, heartwarming romance with a touch of Christian values, you will love the books of Carolyne Aarsen. I look forward to reading the continuing stories that take place in Rockeyview.
Another great read from one of my favorite authors! In this book Evangeline starts out thinking the hero Denny is Just like her father a fly-by-nighter. Her father has never been for her ever since her mother died when she was a young girl. He blows into town with gifts and blows right back out again. Eva is scared to let herself fall in love with Denny because he seems to be just like dear old dad but over the course of the story she finds that while there are some similarities Denny is much more responsible than her dad. A really great read!
This second story in this series is another one for a single reading that will pull at your heartstrings and keep you turning the pages, non-stop. Denny and Evangeline are great characters. Compassion figures strongly in this book along with a steadfast faith in the Lord. I read this book in July.
I received an ARC copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review with my own personal opinions.
Loved getting to know Denny, and watching him become a Daddy. And Evangeline finally figured out what she wanted in her life, instead of sitting waiting for her Father. If you like clean Sweet stories with heart, you can't go wrong with 'Ever After'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
This author writes about real life issues without making me depressed. This one made me feel a wide range of emotions but at the end I was left with a smile. Evangeline and Denny both placed their faith in the Lord and were putting each other before themselves. They were both faced with uncertain futures and had to make hard decisions. The ending was really sweet.
Evangeline has her heart set on finding the right guy. Denny isn't what she had planned. He is a rancher and a truck driver. Denny also finds out he has a daughter. Surprise. He isn't sure what to do, he has plans. Can she help him navigate this new world? Can he find love with her?
I like a good ending and this one has a very good ending. The story ,a captivating from beginning to end. A man that had made mistakes along the way woman who just wants to find, and an orphaned little girl who had never met her dad, make a great combination for the story.
I chose this rating because I loved the story and answers to struggles the main characters experienced. It is a sweet story that shows that no matter what love and hope still exist.
A young woman alone trying to find her dream and always waiting, until a toddler and daddy need a home and help. They find a way to make a happy ever after.
This story made me smile as the author showed that the characters loved each other so much that they would do anything for each other. A well written story.
Loved this story. I always enjoy Carolyne Aarsen's books. Cute love story and I absolutely love the end. Can't say much are I would be giving it all away.
