Not even Mark Prin could make me like this highly misogynistic novel. I thought maybe my exposure to countless Thai Lakorns would shield me from the absurdity of the plots but apparently I cannot stomach it when it is in so much detail. The plot was all over the place and honestly Thien character was one of the worst I've read. More than half into the novel he did not show any type of affection to our FL (not that I blame him. At first I was sympathetic to her but after a while I wanted to smash a huge rock on her head) I really did not want to read anymore. The constant disregard of Thien to Muey and her yearning for him made zero sense. He was not nice to her at all other than the time he was nice to her back in high school. I cannot imagine sweet Mark Prin acting as an arrogant Thien. But then again his character of Sathit on Kleun Cheewit was arrogant too although at the end he did redeem himself highly. Next up our FL Muey, she was not nice at all. Her reasoning was worse than a middle-school kid. Her actions constantly managed to anger and me and the logic behind those action baffled me even more.
I always feel a sense of sorrow when I give a low rating for a novel where an author had put a lot of time and effort into and I feel it more for this. I honestly started reading this in order to watch the drama (in case you haven't noticed, I am huge fan of Mark Prin and he portrayed the character of Thien in the adaptation) and now I have changed my mind regarding that too. Truthfully I wished I did not spend so much time on this novel.
